Everything is hooked up lights are on. Cycled the power several times. Checked connections. Confirmed power source and voltage. Got basic white lights… cool. But you buy the kit for the versatility not one color ### 3/5 — Custom Scenes are a Huge Pain! *2026-06-13, version 3.3.0* If I’m working on a custom scene and lose connection with the controller, I usually lose the ability to save my custom scene. The app behaves as if the controller is still connected, but recording fails immediately and there is no way to reconnect to the controller without losing all the work I put into the scene. Also, once a custom scene is saved and either you exit the editor or put the app in the background for too long, there is no way to edit the scene again. ### 2/5 — Timers & Themes *2026-06-06, version 3.3.0* Although I love the lights when they are working, the timers always seem to have an issue ⚠️: either they turn on at the wrong time or don't turn off when they’re supposed to. As for the themes they are very limited and I wish I could set my own themes. My devices are detected correctly, but the app shows “This device model is not supported yet”. Multiple users appear to be experiencing the same issue. They have hundreds of themes that they just numbered 🤦‍♂️. No preview of what it looks like or an easy way to quickly scan the options. Tuya app has small preview pictures and also displays them in a grid. Would be great to have a color correct for white. Each time I do it, the white turns more purple. ### 3/5 — Great app with huge potential, just a few features missing *2026-01-12, version 3.2.7* This is a very good app and it works really well overall. However, there are few features that would make it perfect in my opinion: - An option to group more controllers together. 10 sound great to me. - A Way to customize the default colors, the white set my led to ocean blue, but if I choose a color close to red, the led actually becomes the real white. - Better Alexa integration, allowing dynamic colors and effects, not only solid colors. If these features are added in the future, this app would easily be a 5-stars experience. ### 3/5 — App ok *2026-01-06, version 3.2.7* The app is mid. I would prefer newer options for themes like Christmas, Spring etc. There are quite a few preset options but it’s based off mostly two light themes. I didn’t see a way to see diy light scene to use for another time. ### 2/5 — This app needs an OVERHAUL *2026-01-05, version 3.2.7* Selecting the number of lights in the section can be difficult at times because you will slide past the actual number of lights you want to change the color of. No option to make the color of the white a warmer tone without making it look pink. No ability to save a specific DIY setup that you create for a specific holiday. The preset collection of colors and designs is difficult to scroll through because you have over 100 different configurations you just have to cycle through and see what the are with no particular rhyme or reason to their order. No preset holidays or anything like that. I spent hours figuring out the timer just to have it ignore all commands after two-weeks. Timer function will not work. When you remove power all settings are removed so you can’t even bypass it with a wall timer. It’s far from a seamless experience—having to reconnect every time I want to turn them on is incredibly frustrating. The app won’t even send the verification code to create an account, which makes it impossible to do anything with the lamps other than turning them on or off. Threw out of the five lamps in the pots I received didn’t work right out of the box, and manual resets only corrected one of them. I want a timer to be set and kept daily so the plant is getting regular light during the day (it’s in the basement). The timer I set ends up self-deleting after less than 24 hrs. If that is the case, why even have a Sun-Sat option for the timer?
