## What is BannerBye?

Cookie banners, killed. Before they load.
 
Elke website vraagt om je "toestemming." Elke pagina dwingt je te kiezen tussen accepteren, weigeren, of door een lange instellingen-pagina ploegen. De banners blokkeren de inhoud. De "weigeren"-knop is verstopt. Je klikt op "accepteren" omdat je het artikel wilt lezen. Op de volgende site begint het opnieuw.
 
BannerBye stopt het. Stel je privacy een keer in, en de extensie handelt elke cookie banner automatisch af - stil, voor je hem te zien krijgt, op elke website.

HOE HET WERKT
 
BannerBye gebruikt drie onafhankelijke signaallagen:
 
1. Global Privacy Control (GPC) - voegt de officiele "Sec-GPC"-header toe aan uitgaande verzoeken. Dat is een publiek webstandaard die websites laat weten dat je niet instemt met verkoop of delen van persoonlijke data.
 
2. IAB TCF v2.2 - voor sites die de standaard consent-framework gebruiken (de meeste Europese uitgevers en ad-tech) beantwoordt BannerBye de consent-call namens jou met "weiger alles", voordat de banner uberhaupt gerendered kan worden.
 
3. Auto-klik fallback - voor sites met eigen banners (veel Nederlandse e-commerce, nieuws, fora) leest BannerBye de zichtbare knoppen en klikt automatisch op "Alles weigeren" of "Alleen noodzakelijke". De herkenningslijst wordt dagelijks bijgewerkt zonder dat je een update hoeft te installeren.

WAT SAFARI'S TOESTEMMINGSDIALOG BETEKENT
 
Wanneer je BannerBye installeert, toont Safari een standaard waarschuwing dat de extensie "gevoelige informatie op webpagina's kan lezen en wijzigen, waaronder wachtwoorden, telefoonnummers en creditcards, en je browsergeschiedenis kan zien op de webpagina van het huidige tabblad wanneer je de extensie gebruikt."
 
Dit is Apple's standaard tekst voor elke Safari-extensie die toegang heeft tot pagina-inhoud. Hij beschrijft wat BannerBye technisch zou kunnen doen, niet wat BannerBye daadwerkelijk doet.
