### 3/5 — No notes??

*2024-06-11, version 5.2.0*

It seems really dumb that you can’t add notes to entires. Why can’t I add notes about readings at all? I was just diagnosed with type 1 and it seems like taking notes is critical. How can that be missing?

### 2/5 — Too little, too much

*2020-05-25, version 4.0.3*

Too little information from too many touches for data entry.
All I want (need) to see is a simple line chart of my daily average mg/dL. Colored buttons are cute but don’t indicate a trend. I want to know if I’m improving or getting worse over the last 7, 30 or 90 days.
Apple Health does better. I granted permission to read and write to Apple Health but data is not shared.

### 4/5 — Timothy

*2020-04-09, version 4.0.3*

I love the timely reminders .

### 4/5 — Great rate

*2019-12-12, version 4.0.3*

It works

### 2/5 — Too confusing

*2019-10-10, version 3.2*

I kind of like the app but there is no help menu and if you want to send feedback there is no send button so you can’t send it. Also all of my reading are duplicating themselves so using the app is pointless. The numbers are not accurate if they are duplicated. I’m gonna delete the app and try something else. Keep working on it and I’ll keep checking back to see if there are improvements

### 4/5 — Great upgrade, modern look

*2017-06-27, version 3.0.2*

Review update, Dec 6, 2016:

This new version looks great and it now works flawlessly with IOS10.
It now syncs with the Apple Health app, instead of the Microsoft Health Vault; you can choose different times of testing, pre or post meal time.
Great update.

As soon as I upgraded my iPhone 5S to IOS10, the syncing function with MS Health stopped working and gives an error message instead.
This app needs updating.

Review update: June 26, 2017:

I am getting duplicate entries for every log. Why?
The only difference is the occasion (post dinner v. post snack).
This seems to be a bug.

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2014-06-19, version 1.4.6*

Great app to keep track of glucose levels.

### 5/5 — Bant

*2014-05-12, version 1.4.6*

Bant

### 5/5 — Bant

*2013-02-28, version 1.4.5*

Good tool and easy to use

### 3/5 — Almost fills the bill

*2012-11-25, version 1.4.4*

Really like the basic functions of this app, does the data collection and tracking suffice for me. Quick and Easy. However the main feature that attracted me in the first place, the ability to tweet, For me, it's iffy at best. Some times it will tweet, most times it won't, and I have to copy/paste over to the Twitter app which had no problem.
Not perfect but, for free, it's OK.

### 5/5 — Easiest way to track blood sugar

*2012-10-31, version 1.4.4*

great tool. easy to use and easy to see data.

### 2/5 — Keep working at it

*2011-06-09, version 1.3*

Tracking BG without any ref (except time) isn't terribly useful, add spots for short/insulin, and meds would be very nice. Also, food intake would be great. I realize that there other apps that do this, but none (that I've found) which link to Google.

### 2/5 — I'll update when they fix this

*2011-02-19, version 1.3*

For some reason there is no room for those of us that don't work traditional hours. My day starts at 1pm. This app won't allow that

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — I use 4 different glucometers

*2021-06-18, version 5.0.0*

You don’t have more than 2 choices in your Application and I use TRUEbalance, Oh’Care Lite, ReliOn Prime & ReliOn Premier Compact. It’s impossible for me to pair my glucometers with your Application. Can you add the 4 mentioned above to your Application and send me an email when you upgrade the same?

### 1/5 — Won’t sync

*2021-01-08, version 4.0.3*

The Bant app will not transfer any insulin dosage data to the Apple Health app. This despite:
• Phone settings > Health > Data Access & Devices: Bant is the only app listed for such information and all “Allow Bant to Write Data” options toggled on
• Apple Health app > Insulin Delivery > Data Sources & Access > Data Sources: Bant is the only app listed

The Bant app will not transfer any Blood Glucose data to the Apple Health app. This despite:
• The same arrangement in the phone settings
• Apple Health app > Blood Glucose > Data Sources & Access > Data Sources: Bant is the only app listed

There’s no version of the app for the Apple Watch, either to enter data or look at data. There’s no option for either bolus or basal insulin. And, hence, nothing to show how long insulin is in the bloodstream.

In sum, the app is just a basic one for entering data manually, like pretty much any other.

### 1/5 — Bant simplifying diabetes

*2020-03-13, version 4.0.3*

I was unable to even sign up for the site. The message stated that my passwords didn’t agree. I redid them and double checked. However, I got the same message. Then, I tried to change the password. But, I wasn’t allowed to do even that. Nothing I tried, including starting all over, worked. There is no star for 0.So, I had to give them a1 just to send my message!

### 1/5 — Looks nice. Can’t tell due to constant stream of pop ups

*2020-02-01, version 4.0.3*

I was eager to check out this app, but after half a dozen pop ups? I’m out. Here’s the conversation with this app:

Do I want to create an account? No.
Are you sure? Yes!
Reeeealllly? Yes.
Okay, want to connect to your meter? No.
But I wanna, please? No.
Okay, rate me?

My data is in Apple Health, I don’t need or want anything stored elsewhere, or anything trying to talk to my meter (yet! If the app was any good then I’d consider it).

Oh well.

### 1/5 — Does not Sync with MS Healthvault

*2016-11-18, version 1.4.7*

After upgrading to iPhone v10 the Bant appt produces an error when and will not sync with MS Healthvault. MS Support says issue is with Bant. Bant Support does not appear to exist, at least they never respond to any queries on the issue.
Bant responded to me and advised they will no longer support iPhone. So why is the app still available at the Apple Store to download.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2015-12-08, version 1.4.7*

No instructions on how to use could not log numbers glad it was free even .99 would be to much also to write a review HAD to DO to MANY would not take nickname

### 1/5 — Falls way too short

*2012-09-22, version 1.4.3*

I don't particularly like this app as opposed to Si Diary. Too many shortcomings and I don't very much like the interface either. Best app I found to date for diabetes control is Si Diary by Sinovo.

### 1/5 — Pretty much useless

*2010-08-10, version 0*

Too simplified, doesn't give you the option to enter random bg. And who would share their bg's on Twitter or store them at google health? There are many good apps to track your blood glucose levels so my advice is to skip this one...

### 1/5 — Skip this one

*2010-04-24, version 0*

Nice that it's free, but very difficult to accurately drop the data marker in the right place. Also, you can only input data for meal times and I check at other times of the day, also. Nice that you can send data to Google Health account, thought. A couple of interface tweaks would vastly improve this app.

### 1/5 — Totally useless piece of junk...

*2010-04-16, version 0*

As a type 2 diabetic, I've already tried and discarded many diabetic log apps. This one is the worst of all. The interface is difficult to use and even worse to figure out. You cannot limit testing to just breakfast, lunch, dinner and bedtime. Entering readings is nearly impossible along with the time of day. No documentation means it is impossible to synchronize with Google Health. It may be free but that only means it aint worth nothing...

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Good App

*2023-04-05, version 5.2.0*

Only thing that would make it better is if you come in out what you eat each time so you knew what spikes you! Awesome app other wise!

### 5/5 — For all ages

*2021-10-04, version 5.0.1*

Great app!! I’m 71 years old and there’s something(a lots) in the app for everyone

### 5/5 — Love this App!

*2021-06-12, version 5.0.0*

This App helps me keep on track with my blood numbers

### 5/5 — BANT

*2020-12-02, version 4.0.3*

Very helpful app. More to learn about this app.

### 5/5 — Ready.....

*2020-09-13, version 4.0.3*

So far so good....!im ready to give this bant a go....!

### 5/5 — Application diabète

*2020-08-31, version 4.0.3*

Super application j’adore

### 5/5 — Nice and simple

*2020-08-15, version 4.0.3*

Very slick and simple and straightforward interface. I unfortunately can’t use because it doesn’t sync or allow importing of readings from Freestyle Libre (which I’m sure is no fault of Bant)

### 5/5 — Tracker

*2020-04-06, version 4.0.3*

Great app

### 5/5 — Great App!!

*2020-03-15, version 4.0.3*

This app is so simple with great visuals. Not too much data makes it easy to see the basics quickly. I did have issues syncing my meter initially however when i tried recording past entries manually while reading back on my meter - it updated!! That’s the trick - you need to be viewing your meter entries to sync.
Love the app - works great!!!

### 5/5 — Thanks for the $10 card

*2014-10-13, version 1.4.6*

Thanks
