### 5/5 — Excellent guide

*2013-11-03*

I never thought an app could replace a good book, but this one proves me wrong. The incredibly detailed city map, zoomable down to intersection level is loaded with reference icons.

The articles range from overviews to individual attractions to walks, all written in an entertaining, witty and obviously deeply knowledgeable style.

This one can be the replacement for all that paper!

### 5/5 — Le guide de Barcelone par excellence

*2013-10-29*

Bravo! Avec l'ajournement, c'est encore mieux et plus facile d'utilizer.

### 5/5 — Inspirational travel guide

*2012-12-20*

A user friendly guide with fascinating history and local information that the writers brought to life, inspiring many enjoyable visits and day trips. Living in Singapore, planning a trip to somewhere so faraway was made easy, the results were always inspirational.
I found myself transported to the city sights. My children spend hours looking through the guide happily.

### 5/5 — Best of the App Store

*2012-12-01*

No other Barcelona guide comes close, especially if you're going to be offline. If you go to BCN, get this app.

### 5/5 — Fantastic!

*2012-10-11*

Works very well on my iPad & iPod Touch. I really like the writing style - easy and entertaining to read, really interesting background as well as practical and useful information. Excellent maps and stunning photos (esp on iPad) with very good navigation to access the real wealth of information. Much much better than more well known travel guides. You can tell the creators really love this city!

### 5/5 — Barcelona unbound

*2012-10-07*

This is a fabulous app and easy to use. We were in Barcelona only a few days and able to narrow our tourist list to what we really wanted to see. The scroll bar allows for key area of interest. The restaurants we tried were spot on. I've used travel guides by Dana Facaros and Michael Pauls over the years and they never disappoint!

### 5/5 — clear, concise and beautiful

*2012-09-25*

Always had my doubts about travel guide apps, but this is straightforward to navigate, fast, clear, and full of inspiring photos. The organisation of the content is what makes it work, from the top sights to the links to relevant maps to the neighbourhood eating and drinking places - you can see that if you were on the spot you could instantly get the right advice and ideas in a couple of clicks. And then, wherever you want to read or see more background, you can choose to do so, and enjoy the witty and erudite writing. The authors have literally decades of experience writing top-ranking travel guide books to Europe, and it shows. Just downloaded the second update too, and it's lovely :-) Nice to see regular updates and the latest one is great!

### 5/5 — The mobile travel app to get

*2012-03-22*

Dana Facaros and Michael Pauls are hands-down the best travel writers I have come across. Their Cadogan guides have helped us across Europe for many years and I am very happy to see that they are now putting their great talents to work on a mobile app. Their content and insights make this app a priceless companion when visiting Barcelona. The redesigned version of this app just made the whole experience even better. Kudos.

### 5/5 — Gives a tour of the real Barcelona - updates add even more

*2012-03-02*

Great app for the visitor interested in more than the obvious stuff, lots of insights. It's easy to use, beautifully and intelligently written, full of interesting detail, bars and tapa bars and restaurant listings are all up to date and reliable…great pics, adds so much to the visit.. never realized there was so much to see in Barcelona… looked at some other apps but seemed thin in comparison. The updates make it even better!

### 5/5 — Still the best

*2012-02-26*

We used this app last year for our first visit and it really worked. When we returned home and looked at some of the restaurants we used the reviews matched our experience. The maps look better in the new version but could be improved. Overall this city app was the best of our of trip. Well done keep us the good work!

### 5/5 — Really comprehensive and simple to use...great travel app

*2011-11-02*

Hi all,
I bought this app just prior a trip to Barcelona and a couple of nearby towns. It is completely comprehensive and provided insights into a great deal that I had never heard of even though I have been to Barcelona a couple of times before. The coverage of nearby towns like Sitges was unexpected but most welcome.
I found the interactive functionality of the app was great and seamless...it felt like a lot of thought had gone into getting it right.
So overall.....very nice interactive guide that I would recommend to anyone wanting to get more out of Barcelona than the standard guidebook fare.
All the best,
Adam

### 5/5 — A must have for a fabulous city.

*2011-10-01*

If you're going to Barcelona, it would be a shame to go without Mike Pauls and Dana Facaros. There are other apps out there but they, not being your mainstream travel writers, wrote about the city with in-depth information, smarts and wit. A fun read while killing time at a café or any time you've got a few minutes to spare. That might be a hard thing to do in Barcelona and would suggest setting a daily agenda as one week in the city will barely scratch the surface of interesteting things to do. Thousands of great pics to go with the text enhanced our total experience. We just got back from Barcelona and got so much more out of the city having them with us on our i-phone. Great food and bar listings- not a single one let us down. I can't stress hard enough how valuable this app was for our group.

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2011-08-04*

Don't leave for Barcelona without this app! Great photos, tons of entries, and interesting commentaries! Great app!!!

### 5/5 — I want to go!

*2011-07-30*

I've never been to Barcelona but after reading this app I have to visit.

### 1/5 — Purchase cancellation

*2017-06-29*

I've never intended to purchase this app but out off sudden my iphone said that payment was done successfully. So I'd like to ask you kindly to cancel my payment.

### 2/5 — Crashes often

*2013-06-19*

This app would be great because I can tell it has a lot of good information on it, but it is pretty much unusable because it freezes and crashes very frequently on both my iPhone 4S and my iPad (most recent model). Very disappointing for an app that is $5

### 4/5 — Useful guide

*2013-03-30*

Easy to use. Works well for my 3 day trip. A bit slow on iPhone 4S.

### 4/5 — Great definition of BCn

*2011-09-05*

This is one seriously good app , accurate easy to read particularly with the photos
Please install a landscape lock . Many people read in bed and there is nothing more frustrating then flipping landscape to portait mode

### 5/5 — An app worth getting

*2024-04-24*

This is a must for anyone planning a trip to Barcelona. Chalked full of history, practical information and resources I would highly recommend getting this App. Its worth every cent! Each section is broken into subsections and those subsections have all the info, phone numbers and contact information for each subject. There weren’t as many pictures as I was initially expecting however, this app allowed me to actually navigate my way while in Barcelona and made planning my trip easy and fun! Thoughtfully written and very well made- I’m so glad I got this App

### 5/5 — Great app

*2024-01-10*

I have used others apps in this series such as the Venice one which I found very useful. I find browsing using the app feels effortless and before I know it I have read and hopefully learned a lot of new and useful information. Thank you for such a useful and above all enjoyable experience.

### 5/5 — Barcelona Unbound: Perfect Blend of History, Art and Travel Tips

*2016-11-19*

Barcelona is my favorite of the cities I've toured in about 20 trips to Spain, France, Italy, England, Ireland and Greece. This app makes me yearn to go back for more.

Barcelona Unbound provides the perfect blend of history, art, photography, practical travel advice and directions to gastronomic delights for those who are visiting or just want to know more about one of the most striking cities in Europe. Anyone who has enjoyed the numerous travel guides on Spain, Italy, France, Greece, Hell, Mars and beyond written by the wife and husband team of Dana Facaros and Michael Pauls will come away well satisfied with the couple's initial foray into electronic publishing.

If Barcelona is on your itinerary, Barcelona Unbound belongs on your iPad and in your travel bag. Facaros and Pauls lead the journey through the largest city in Catalonia. Anarchy, Sagrada Familia, Gaudi, Mirò, Museu Picasso, Santa Maria del Mar, Vicky Christina Barcelona walking tours, the Catalan Crapper, Museu de l'Eròtica, it's all there, and then some. Whether you are planning a visit to the second largest city in Spain, or just want day dream and read about a walkable city where beauty and creativity abounds, this app is the guide for you.

### 5/5 — Your Best Barcelona Buddy

*2016-09-09*

Barcelona Art and Culture really ripped the boundaries from Barcelona. The map feature has a variety of categories which made finding the museums and all the attractions a simple task, identifying each flag with a name and a picture. The app is easy to operate, even for a novice, and we had no trouble using it to access any information we needed. Useful hints, such as suggesting we get our Sagrada Familia tickets online ahead of time, had us skipping a line that curved around for over a block. Since English explanations around the city were rare, the app's background and detailed stories enriched our experience. I would not have known about the secret past of Christopher Columbus or the elevator in his monument or the impact of the anarchists The vivid photographs were an added bonus. I hope Facaros and Pauls create apps for all the places we want to visit.

### 5/5 — loved this app

*2016-08-21*

Dana Facaros and Mike Paul's have long been two of my favorite travel writers, and I was delighted when they started creating apps!
With Barcelona Art & Culture they have once more displayed their seemingly endless knowledge with an enthusiasm that is contagious.
In Barcelona A & C they provide information about everything you could possibly want to know about this intriguing city. I recommend this app even for people not planning a physical trip there. It is a treat!

### 5/5 — Great update to an already impressive guide

*2015-12-10*

This is a fabulously written, well organised, beautifully Illustrated guide to a wonderful city. Barcelona Unbound is not just a useful travel guide, but is also filled with fascinating, humorous, educational and entertaining information about the city and it's people.

Whether you are planning to travel to Barcelona, or just interested in
learning more about the city, I can thoroughly recommend Barcelona Unbound. It
has a well organised and simple navigation system makes finding
anything you may want easy and quick. It is packed with information
that is both entertaining and well written, making this app not just a
useful guide to getting around the city, but an endlessly fascinating
and inspiring travelling companion.

### 5/5 — Barcelona Unbound

*2015-12-10*

If you're going to Barcelona, buy this app!! Mike Pauls and Dana Facaros are the best travel writers out there- not only hugely knowledgeable, smart and witty, but fun just to read while killing time in the airport, in your hotel room or on the metro etc– their Cadogan guides are great (I have over a dozen of them) and this app is like their books...only more fun because there are thousands of great pix! Food entries spot on, too, and loved the bit on Catalan music.

Just got the new update. Fantastic! The best app gets better.

Just back form a short trip to my favorite city. This ap remains indispensable. October 2012.

### 5/5 — Fantastique!

*2013-12-09*

Un app vraiment utile pour la découverte d'une grande ville.

### 5/5 — Your Best Barcelona Buddy

Barcelona Unbound really ripped the boundaries from Barcelona. The map feature has a variety of categories which made finding museums, restaurants, or any of the attractions a simple task. The app is easy to operate, even for a novice, and we had no trouble using it to access any information we needed. There were very useful hints such as getting our Sagrada Familia tickets online. We walked past a line that curved around for over a block. We took their suggestion to try Les Quinze Nits and went back again for very reasonably priced and tasty meals. Since we didn't find many explanations in English around the city, the background and detailed stories enriched our experience at every site. I never would have known about the secret past of Christopher Columbus or the elevator in his monument or the impact of the anarchists. The vivid photographs were just an added bonus. I hope that Facaros and Pauls write apps for the places we want to visit next year.

### 5/5 — Gets better with each update
