Barclays Verify secures the way our clients access applications of the Corporate & Investment Bank. Barclays Verify app is only for institutional clients of the Corporate & Investment Bank of Barclays Bank PLC and its affiliates (collectively and each individually ‘Barclays’). Clients will require a Barclays Live or BARX username and password and have been given entitlement rights to use Barclays Verify. These entitlement rights can be given to you by your Barclays support contact. Barclay’s documentation says to use this app to verify myself but when I use it the first thing it wants is a QR code which I do not have. ### 1/5 — Don’t waste your time with this app *2024-05-08* Barclays how about getting your web page and content developers to along with your app developers. That way you won’t be wasting my time following instruction that don’t work. What your web pages says to do to verify versus what your app presents are not aligned. Believe it or not, not everyone banks with Barclays nor wants to, trying to sort Power of Attorney and confirms why I wouldn’t choose Barclays. Seems impossible to do without going into a branch. Terrible user experience Barclays ### 1/5 — App does not work *2023-12-11* Trying to verify who I am so that I can register power of attorney for my Mother. Another bank allowed me to sort this on line with the easily obtained individual access code and did not need me to verify. This app does not take me past the passcode - error 917. ### 1/5 — John Hasselgren *2023-11-22* As a Trustee of a Scout Group attempting to open an account I need to verify my existence. Start to use this app, enter the correct pass numbers, and am then asked to photograph the QR Code. Which QRCode? Where is it? Unable to progress. ### 1/5 — So disappointing *2023-10-28* Coukd not use it to verify, despite being told to use the app. Barclays are so disappointing, in every way. ### 1/5 — Absolutely rubbish *2023-09-20* I gave it 1 star only because I couldn’t give anything less. The app requires a passcode every time you open it, even after it sends you an access code by sms you have to first re-enter your passcode. Once you take the video as requested you cannot upload it, “connection lost” when your connection is working perfectly well. A total waste of time.
