This app decodes barcodes to verify encoded data, decode and reveal hidden ASCII control characters, GS1 application identifier FNC AI codes and view information about the encoding of the symbol. This app also parses encoded GS1 data to separate out each application identifier and element string. Reveals ASCII functions that cannot be printed or viewed on the screen including the FS, RS, GS, CR, LF and EOT functions commonly used for ISO/IEC 15434. However, I can’t say the same for this app. I wanted to use it to verify that data encoded in the DataMatrix symbols I create are correct. The iOS version doesn’t allow me to focus on the DataMatrix symbol and as a result it can’t read it. It works great on large DataMatrix symbols. It also allows you to scan photos of barcodes, but that feature only works part of the time. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2025-02-21, version 2023d* Not working on iPhone 15 ### 2/5 — Poor camera functionality *2024-06-04* Seems to only scan data matrices. Autofocus also doesn’t work so if the code isn’t big enough from exactly 6 inches away it won’t read it.
