I’ve used several IDAutomation products in the past and have been very happy with them.  However, I can’t say the same for this app.  I wanted to use it to verify that data encoded in the DataMatrix symbols I create are correct.  The iOS version doesn’t allow me to focus on the DataMatrix symbol and as a result it can’t read it.  It works great on large DataMatrix symbols.  It also allows you to scan photos of barcodes, but that feature only works part of the time.

Seems to only scan data matrices. Autofocus also doesn’t work so if the code isn’t big enough from exactly 6 inches away it won’t read it. It would also be nice to implement the macro lens on newer iPhones to get close enough for smaller codes.

Worked perfectly for reverse engineering some mystery barcodes and testing some custom barcodes and qr codes with lots of details on the raw content and type of a code. And to top it off, there’s no ads everywhere or any locked features, awesome app!

This app is one of the only barcode readers on the App Store I’ve found that can detect ASCII characters. This is extremely useful for ensuring barcodes have the proper encoding. With all the other big name/reviewed apps you’d be clueless. Love this app.
