## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — App keeps crashing

*2024-04-01, version 3.6.8*

Keeps crashing. Fix it

### 1/5 — Painfully slow

*2013-04-13*

It would be faster to walk & view the properties with signs outside than wait for this app.
Don't waste your time or bandwidth.

### 2/5 — Why bother with placing a price

*2019-12-10, version 3.0.5*

Iv only just opened the app, placed my price limit and got house after house of far above it.

### 2/5 — Could be better.

*2015-12-17, version 2.1.1*

How about giving the option of looking for a house to rent also? That would make this app fantastic & I'd definitely give it 5 stars if it had the rental search option 😊

### 3/5 — Barfoot app

*2023-11-26, version 3.6.5*

Is good however mine often closes the app when I want to apply or book a viewing. MaypY to have a look at that big for iphones!

### 3/5 — Still Room for Improvement

*2013-05-11, version 1.3*

Review for version 1.3:
What's good about this version:
- Seems a bit faster to display details about a property.

- Pictures seem a bit sharper.

What's not good about this version:
- Pictures are still not able to be zoomed. Surely this would any easy feature to add? And as pointed out in my review of version 1.2, the Real Estate NZ equivalent app has this capability.

- On Planet Barfoot, for people buying a house, the sky's the limit. Name your starting price, your minimum number of bedrooms and bathrooms, and B&T will show you every property that meets or exceeds those starting points. So if you have a modest budget or modest requirements, you still have to wade through all the properties that 'might' be suitable, despite the fact that they may be priced at ten times your budget, or have five more bedrooms than you require. This idiotic functionality is unchanged from version 1.2, apart from the addition of a plus sign on the filter settings to let you know that if you move the slider to select (say) three bedroom properties, you are actually going see all properties with three or more bedrooms. Come on B&T, surely you can do better than that? Why not allow your potential customers to set lower and upper bounds on the filters?

Other Comments:
LIMs and other documents are starting to appear as attachments on some listings. This is a welcome development. Now how about including the cost of rates and the current CV on listings, separately from what is shown on a LIM? This information is publicly available on the Auckland Council website, but it would save time if it could be shown in a standard format on all listings. Similarly for body corporate fees, if applicable.

Review for version 1.2:

Whilst better than Real Estate NZ app in that it is specifically designed for the iPad, it still has some fairly obvious flaws. For example, it seems to be impossible to apply a filter which restricts the properties listed to a specific number of bedrooms. Instead, the bedroom filter operates as a lower limit, so that if you want to see properties with just three bedrooms, you also get all properties with more than three bedrooms.... This is very tiresome. Another example - pictures cannot be zoomed, unlike the Real Estate NZ app.

I note that the latest version of the app has a feature which allows viewing of LIM and title information. Unfortunately after looking at the listings for quite a number of properties, not one has had such information available. I would much prefer to look at that kind of information than the anodyne, poorly written descriptions that accompany most listings. Similarly, I would also like to see details of rates, body corporate fees etc. All of this type of information would make me more likely to use this app, and to buy and sell property using a Barfoot & Thompson agent.

### 5/5 — Awesome.

### 5/5 — Review

*2013-10-05, version 1.3*

A great app which has made life easier.

If the developers could look into adding Open home register in the app which could capture the information of visitors as per our open home register and also have additional facility to write notes, with a capability of sending an email report to the client at the end of the open home.

### 5/5 — Good app

*2013-08-24, version 1.3*

Awesome app

### 5/5 — This is the only real estate app available in New Zealand

*2013-05-09, version 1.2*

What does Ray White, Harvey LJ Hooker, Harcourts and Bayleys real estate have in common? They all don't have an app in iTunes (as of to date). The Barfoot app made my life searching and documenting for a home just a lot simpler. Now I don't have to carry all those confusing docs and paperwork around (i.e LIM report) and end up confused which one was I intending to buy? What was the agent's name? And the details can be linked into my emails, calendar and contacts. Listings are always up to date (so far).

Thumbs up to the app developer, but would kindly request an alert and notifications on a pre-set criteria (i.e., Suburb area, price range or type of estate).

Keep up the great work guys!

GW

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2013-02-13, version 1.1*

Very intuitive, very comprehensive. Exactly the app you'd want from Auckland's leading real estate company.
