## What is Bariatrack?

After weight-loss surgery, every day comes with new rules: 64 ounces of fluid, 60–80 grams of protein, supplements spaced by hours, and a diet that changes week by week. Bariatric Recovery Tracker handles the rules so you can focus on healing.

Built around the medical protocol your bariatric team recommends, the app guides you through the five recovery phases — clear liquids, protein liquids, pureed foods, soft foods, and regular diet — and adjusts what you see based on where you are today.

WHAT YOU CAN TRACK
• Fluids — log every sip and see your daily progress, with reminders that respect quiet hours
• Protein — hit your daily target with a built-in food and recipe library
• Supplements — schedule your multivitamin, B12, calcium, and iron with smart timing
• Weight — chart your progress against your goal
• Exercise — log activity with awareness of post-op lifting and swimming restrictions
• Symptoms — note nausea, dumping, fatigue, and energy so you and your care team can spot patterns

PHASE-AWARE BY DESIGN
The app knows what phase you're in based on your surgery date, and filters foods, fluids, and recipes to what's safe right now. You'll never accidentally log something you're not ready for. Phase durations are fully customizable to match your surgeon's plan.

SAFETY GUARDRAILS BUILT IN
• 30-minute meal buffer — fluid logging pauses right after meals, just as your surgeon recommends
• Calcium and iron spacing — warnings when you try to take them within two hours of each other
• Exercise alerts — reminders about lifting limits and swimming during the first six weeks
• Hydration alerts — smart notifications when you fall behind, with quiet hours overnight

ON YOUR WRIST AND HOME SCREEN
Log fluids and supplements from your Apple Watch in seconds. Home screen widgets show your daily hydration and protein at a glance. Live Activities keep progress visible on your lock screen.

RECIPES MADE FOR BARIATRIC PATIENTS
A library of 90+ recipes built around protein-first eating, with restricted ingredients flagged automatically. Filter by phase so every recipe you see is safe for you today.

PRIVATE BY DEFAULT
Your data lives on your device and in your private iCloud — never sold, never shared. Sync seamlessly across iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. Optional community features let you connect with others on the same journey, on your own terms.

AVAILABLE IN 10 LANGUAGES
English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese (Portugal and Brazil), and Simplified Chinese.

A NOTE ON MEDICAL GUIDANCE
Bariatric Recovery Tracker is not a substitute for your surgeon or dietitian. It implements widely accepted post-surgical guidelines, but every patient is different — always follow the specific instructions from your care team.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.0.2 — 2026-08-06

We've been hard at work making your recovery tracking more accurate, more reliable, and a little easier to trust. Version 1.0.1 focuses on getting the numbers right and making sure nothing important slips through.

More accurate tracking
 - Fluids logged in milliliters now save correctly, so your daily total is right.
 - Custom foods and scanned products record protein, calories, and serving sizes accurately — no more "phantom" protein from water or diet drinks.
 - Your doctor report now includes protein from shakes and other fluids, not just solid meals.
 - Editing or deleting a meal now updates Apple Health, so your totals stay correct.

 Reminders you can count on
 - New: ring supplement reminders as a full-screen alarm that sounds even on Silent, in Focus, or during Quiet Hours.
 - The calcium-and-iron spacing warning now checks every dose of the day.
 - Important supplement and walking reminders are protected so a busy sipping schedule can't crowd them out.

 Safety and peace of mind
 - Faster safety alerts for vomiting, chest pain, and shortness of breath.
 - Exercise restrictions (swimming, heavy lifting) now lift on exactly the right day.

Plus a smoother iCloud restore, safer data import, Apple Watch and widget fixes, a fixed meal-timer crash, and many reliability improvements throughout. Thank you for letting us be part of your recovery.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-06-09

New Feature:
 - Confetti comes down when you meet a daily goal!

Minor Bug Fixes:
 - Fixed a bug where app crashes after onboarding process when launching iPad version on MacOS.
 - Fixed size windows of onboarding screen on iPad to be more visually appealing.
 - Fixed App Walkthrough on iPad to reflect actual interface where tab menu is on left side instead of bottom (on iOS).
