I’m looking for a barista job but every time I tried to upload my details it either crashed or just stayed in the loading screen. The jobs pop up as a notifications on my phone but when I click them they disappear. I’ve seen reviews about how hard it is, but doesn’t that also speak as to how BoT is loyal to the baristas it has already, they’re not gonna kick someone off just to replace them with someone better. I can sense they clearly feel the barista crew is strong. I am also aware as a barista how competitive it is now so i’m not losing this little golden position i have as part of the team. Simply be patient, or prove that you’re better than the other ‘head baristas with over 5 years experience, latte art specialist coffee drinkers’ (i’m sorry i managed to get on the app before it blew up, but i’m super grateful for not being replaced by someone more skilled than me, when i’m doing a great enough job. It’s sad to see these kinda reviews based on NOT GETTING ON. bro, just get better at applying... It’s not the high standards, it’s the people you’re competing with have the same qualifications maybe. idk. it’s just a dope app if you get on. Unfortunately, had my first bad shift where I had to leave in the middle due to a member of staff being extremely rude and aggressive to me. Barista on tap staff were amazing about the situation, the woman who sorted the dispute was an absolute star. I’ve met some amazing people and learned a lot about the london speciality coffee scene. The application process can be frustrating if you don’t have enough of the right experience, but the BOT team are incredibly helpful and supportive. ### 5/5 — Doesn’t get better than this *2023-01-25, version 1.93* A perfect concept for coffee-passionate baristas who need a lil extra cash!! It’s also perfect for business owners who need cover in advance or last minute. I was using BoT for about six months whilst I had some things going on. It was a mint way to make some quick money, in an industry I thrive in, met some awesome people and genuinely couldn’t recommend it enough. The guys running it are super helpful and communicative, kind and genuine. I also used baristas through the app when I used to manage a store over five years ago, and they always sent excellent staff- met some great people too. Being a barista isn’t just about making a beautiful coffee and being able to dial in perfectly every morning. It is about life and death in the morning when customers are getting into work and didn’t to have that first cup of coffee: a cup of coffee for that sleep deprived parents who are desperate for civilised grown up conversation and that amazing cup of cure that literally makes them cry (because parenting is that hard!) THIS. is saving lives.🩻🩺📈 The company chooses (I think) baristas carefully so that they can rely on them showing up, being excellent, and friendly.
