### 5/5 — Best Workout Videos

*2026-07-13, version 2.3100.22*

I’ve had this program for a few years. It’s so easy to come back to. Videos are well explained, go at a great pace. Love the variety. There are programs to follow that target specific types of workouts. There are also daily workouts you can select that help take the guess work out of planning your week. Lately, I have been doing strength training workout videos at the gym. I walk the treadmill 15 min and then do a 35-45 min strength training video. So easy, great results!

### 5/5 — Great range of time, difficulty, and type of workout!

*2026-07-13, version 2.3100.22*

I’ve had this app for 2 years and I just love it. Jacquelyn is great at giving tips to make sure your body is aligned correctly and performing proper form, and she’s motivational as she goes through each video. I enjoy this app and programs more than others I’ve had because there is a lot of variety and I also love that she gives those alignment tips because I frequently find myself out of form until I hear her little guidance and realize I need to adjust.

There are also many types of workouts ranging from weights to body weight, Pilates and yoga, and more traditional dance workouts with many reps of refined movements that will burn your muscles in the best way. There are also pregnancy workouts I wish I had had when I was in need of those years ago, but I love that they’re available and accessible.

Workouts are organized by time, (body) area of focus, type of workout, plus the search works well for me to find what I need if I forgot to favorite a specific workout!

She does show some modifications too, which is helpful for anyone who needs it in general or during phases of recovery or needing to rest various areas.

Can’t say enough good things about this app, I find it well worth the yearly rate.⭐️

### 4/5 — Worth it

*2026-07-06, version 2.3100.22*

Good workouts, I can tell she is more into cardio than building strength. They certainly can be combined (as is shown in the classes within the app) but there is no true strength muscle growth focus even in the Strength Lab program. Otherwise the app is named appropriately and the classes are challenging and fun.

### 5/5 — Exactly what I needed

*2026-07-04, version 2.3100.22*

I’m so happy to be doing these barre workouts. I knew I needed something flexible I could do from home with 2 young kids. This has been perfect and FUN. My toddler even enjoys joining in because I think she knows it looks like I’m having a good time.

The app has some really helpful calendars and it looks like there are so many workouts and programs with more being added.

I also love that I can pull it up on my Roku tv so it’s easier to see.

### 5/5 — I LOVE THE BARRE DEFINITION WORKOUT!

*2026-07-01, version 2.3100.22*

Two years ago, I started working out with Jacquelyn because she had a variety of workouts, for example ballet, weights, pilates, etc. I was 61 years old, had a bilateral knee replacement (both knees at the same time) back in 2017, had my left arm completely reconstructed twice after a Scagg lawnmower fell on top of me in 2010, and had a screw in my left foot after I stepped on a rock and broke it. I worked out in the gym, but never saw improvement in my stomach area, which looked like a tire around my waist. I started with Jacquelyn’s beginning workout and loved them. My husband kept asking me what I was doing. Finally, he asked to workout with me. He loved how he felt when he finished: refreshed with oxygen flowing throughout the body, stronger, more pliable. I now have curves even without sticking to a strict diet. Yes, I need to lose 25 more pounds, but my clothes fit so well now! Thank you, Jacquelyn! I love your positivity, and I love the BEACH scenes!

### 5/5 — The most helpful guidance in pregnancy and postpartum!

*2026-06-30*

I started with power my pregnancy and have completed so many more programs in my postpartum! These classes and information has been so helpful building strength in pregnancy and postpartum. I love the diversity and design of each workout and program! Highly recommend!

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-06-27, version 2.3100.22*

Loving it so far

### 5/5 — It’s what I needed!

*2026-06-27, version 2.3100.22*

I really love having this app—not for another workout exercises—but the expertise and kindness in the instructor makes this amazing! You can start out where you need to and go to different workouts and levels. I have had a gym membership but wanted to cry every time I went, and I would run out as fast as I could after a workout. I didn’t want to worry about my outfit or my small weight level or feeling lonely at the gym, I just wanted to be stronger. I believe this is going to do that!

### 5/5 — Boosted My Strength For Labor!

*2026-06-24, version 2.3100.22*

Barre definition is amazing. I got the app during my third pregnancy to improve my strength and by the time I got to my labor realized I had so much endurance. I wasn’t as exhausted as I was with my first labor and I felt more connected with my body. I loved how each week there was a yoga lesson, pelvic floor exercises and plenty of strength training. This is perfect for pregnant moms looking to build their endurance without over doing it with cardio.

### 5/5 — Perfect!

*2026-06-24, version 2.3100.22*

Perfect for whatever season I find myself and she is a great instructor with many programs and videos and support to choose from

### 5/5 — BEST WORKOUT EVER

*2026-06-23, version 2.3100.22*

Jaqueline naturally knows how to move the body in a way that stretches, opens, strengthens, and empowers, because I am now so much more aware of my body and muscle movement. Her yogi mentality narrates through the exercises elegantly, filling me up with peace and presence. I love the mini meditations and visualizations she walks us through as she radiates abundance and goodwill. Love the app, love Jaqueline, and I love working out with her kind of motivation. Thank you for all you do 💝🌹💓

### 5/5 — Love BD!

*2026-06-22, version 2.3100.22*

I have enjoyed BD for two years now! As a working mom of two small kids, I don’t have a lot of extra time, but BD is so flexible and positive that I both can and want to make time for it. Thank you to Jacquelyn and the whole team for this wonderful app that keeps me moving!

### 2/5 — Hard to manage subscription

*2026-06-19, version 2.3100.22*

It’s not that easy to cancel, you’d think it’s just one button but no, you have to jump hoops and write request emails in 2026 to actually make decisions about your money.

### 5/5 — Best workouts

*2026-06-18, version 2.3100.22*

Absolutely love the variety and visible changes I am seeing

### 5/5 — Amazing value!

*2026-06-17, version 2.3100.22*

Love her videos. She has something for all skill levels and styles. Jaqueline is so encouraging and really knows how to get your body burning!!

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2026-06-13, version 2.390.19*

I love Jacqueline and how relatable she is, how her workouts have evolved as she moves through life stages. I love the new strength workout, as a woman in my 40s.

### 5/5 — Love this app!

*2026-06-13, version 2.390.19*

Barre Definition is by far my favorite workout app, and the amazing customer service is beyond what most companies have in place. I highly recommend signing up!

### 4/5 — Great pregnancy program!

*2026-06-02, version 2.390.19*

I canceled my BD membership a while ago but resumed it in pregnancy. The pregnancy content is great - her usual classes are a little too challenging for me

### 5/5 — The first program I’ve stuck with!

*2026-05-31, version 2.390.19*

I love it! I work out 6x per week now even with four kids and working full time and seeing major results!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Scam

*2026-08-13, version 2.3100.22*

I’m sure the program may be great, but I don’t appreciate the way the billing was handled. I never even opted into the free trial because I wasn’t prepared yet and I wanted to wait until I was ready. I never picked a subscription yet. They tried to bill me $149.99. I don’t even know what subscription that would be for because I never opted into a plan or program. Glad I didn’t put my real card on there.

### 1/5 — Can’t cancel

*2026-04-21, version 2.390.19*

Caution this app offers no way to cancel except through some Google form that you don’t actually know if it’s sent or get notification that cancellation is confirmed.

### 1/5 — 1/5

*2026-04-03, version 2.390.19*

Hmm I’ve been using the app for three months now and came back to say I’m disappointed. It’s not worth the money at all. She does not post new workouts at all. She posts these monthly calendars that are just the same workouts recycled every month. I’m shocked that there’s not at least new workouts every month for the price you pay for the app. It’s a little ridiculous… where apps like Peloton post new workouts daily. I got suckered into all the ads from Instagram just to realize that the app is very stale and there’s never any new content. Also, I hate how when you complete one workout it checks it off forever. So when you’re doing a program, it checks that workout off for all future weeks and makes keeping track of your progress difficult. Not a good workout app at all. There’s honestly better ones out there.

### 1/5 — Buyer beware

*2025-11-25*

I signed up for the trial and unfortunately forgot to cancel, which resulted in a charge of about $150 in my currency — a huge amount. While I recognize that I missed the cancellation window, it feels predatory for a company to refuse refunds on completely unused services. Auto-renewing subscriptions that rely on forgetfulness are inherently exploitative, and while many subscription-based companies offer grace periods or refunds out of fairness, this one does not. Buyer beware.

### 1/5 — Fine, not for me, overcharged

*2025-10-16, version 2.360.18*

I bought a year subscription and decided it wasn’t for me. I was then auto-charged for the next year ($100) and had no options! Even though i immediately tried to cancel and will not use the subscription, they absolutely refuse to refund an entire year that I won’t use and tried to cancel as quickly as possible.

### 1/5 — Absolutely do not recommend — unprofessional, zero accountability, and tech issues galore.

*2025-08-15, version 2.360.18*

I paid for a full year of Barre Definition. This week, the app locked me out. When I reached out, they took no accountability for either disabling my account or rolling out a new app without proper QA. Instead, I got a ridiculous amount of back-and-forth with staff who seemed completely incompetent.

They claimed they “couldn’t find me” and even sent me someone else’s personal email asking if it was mine — a massive privacy violation. At that point, I told them I’m actively in chemo for cancer, that this had been a huge waste of my time, and asked for a prorated refund for both the time I lost and the remainder of my membership. They completely ignored my request.

I guess once they saw dollar signs walking out the door, they roped in some lunatic who called my personal cell phone without permission, left no voicemail, and then texted me. On what planet is it acceptable to use someone’s personal number without consent? It felt desperate, invasive, and bizarre — maybe even unhinged. DO NOT contact me ever again.

They never added back the days I lost when the app didn’t work. That means they essentially took my money without delivering the service I paid for. Buyer beware.

The app itself is clunky, buggy, and unreliable. Half the functions break, and many videos in the “90-day program” are recycled. You’ll hear the same old personal stories about being pregnant or getting married over and over. The best content is actually from Sara Martz, not the main creator.

Sharing other customers’ personal emails, contacting me without consent, and handling tech rollouts so poorly shows this company has no understanding of accountability, professionalism, or boundaries. If you like her style, watch her on YouTube instead — at least those platforms have competent tech teams and respect for users’ privacy.

### 1/5 — horrible customer service

*2025-05-15, version 2.360.1*

I had an issue with an order and needed to return. The website was broken and the customer service agent was so rude and condescending.

### 1/5 — App does not work

*2025-02-10, version 2.330.4*

Doesn’t work, did the trial, account glitches etc. lame

### 1/5 — Can’t reset password

*2025-01-10, version 2.330.2*

I messed up my original log in and every time I try to reset my password the link only send me to the home page of Barre Definition. I cannot recover my original password to re-set and when I messaged the designated Help email no one has gotten back to me.

### 1/5 — Why is it soo complicated to cancel subscription?

*2024-12-14, version 2.330.2*

So I want to cancel my subscription. In the Manage Subscription in the Settings section, it asked me if I subscribed in their website or in-App, Gosh, I used this app a couple of times a year ago then stopped because of my miscarriages, how could I remember if I subscribed it in App or on Website??

Then I signed in the website, tap Cancel, and it showed PENDING CANCELLATION. So I wrote an email to CS and someone replied me saying it’s successfully cancelled! Yayyy!

But nope, 2 days later, another email sent to me asking me to update my card info because they can’t charge me for the subscription. So I checked my account info on their website, guess what, still PENDING CANCELLATION!

And where’s the button to Delete my account?

Seriously, please do a better work! I’m glad that I didn’t have enough money in my card to continue to pay for this even though I only use it for a few times a year ago and got miscarried right after that. Too painful so I never opened this app again this year.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2026-08-23, version 2.3100.22*

Will be a fav

### 5/5 — So fun!

*2026-08-18, version 2.3100.22*

I’m post partum and wanted to try something new. The workouts are so much fun! I actually look forward to them. I like how they vary in length so even if you don’t have the energy you can pick a short one. She is so knowledgeable about core recovery as well. I’m seeing results after about a month of doing the workouts 3-5 times a week. Can you please make a sweatshirt with the Barre Definition app logo??

### 5/5 — Love!

*2026-08-09*

I love this app. Jacquelyn is so relatable. I love how flexible the workouts and programs are. There are so many different workouts and workout programs, and more being added all the time. There are a lot of shorter workouts so I can get a full workout in 30 minutes or less. Seeing two 10 minute workouts for the day seems so much more achievable than a 20 minute workout and there’s lots of those options. Thank you Jacquelyn for getting me back into working out!

### 5/5 — LOVE THIS PROGRAM

*2026-07-30, version 2.3100.22*

I have never stuck with something this long. I’ve been doing her programs for three years, I look forward to them. I have been able to be consistent. Workouts are effective and you don’t have to spend an hour working out to get results. New content introduced consistently to keep you engaged. Absolutely love Jacquelyn!!

### 5/5 — Perfect!

*2026-07-23, version 2.3100.22*

I love the app, all of the options, and how easy to use it is! Keeps me motivated on days I really need it! ❤️

### 5/5 — Workouts for every level

*2026-07-23, version 2.3100.22*

Absolutely love this app and the variety it provides. I’ve always struggled with flexibility, and in a short amount of time I’ve already seen improvements. Workouts fly by and get your heart rate up even without being high intensity. Love it!

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-07-22, version 2.3100.22*

I love this app. It really has so many features. First off, each month there’s a new focus and schedule of workouts. Not feeling what’s scheduled, pick a program, or a video you’ve saved to your favorites. There’s recipes and so much information for women in general (I’m looking at you pelvic floor exercises). I love tracking what I’ve done and then looking back on a month of great progress or seeing where I need to do better. Jacquelyn is always gentle and encouraging in the workouts, feels like being with an old friend. Best of all there’s endless variety.

### 5/5 — Short but strong workouts!!

*2026-07-20, version 2.3100.22*

THE app that changed the game. The one that actually makes you look forward to working out. New workout every single day. Programs. Personalized calendars. Love it!

### 5/5 — Life changing

*2026-07-15, version 2.3100.22*

At 49 I hit a wall and was completely burned out on working out - took a 4 year hiatus basically. After a wake up call at 53 I came across BD on Instagram and decided to the 90 day barre challenge. Day 1 I thought I had no chance of making it to the end. But I kept at it and am addicted. Finished that challenges and now have 4 more going strong. I look forward to the workouts every day. Sometimes I do 6! I even have a ballet barre now and am learning ballet on BD - a dream I’ve always had! Jacquelyn is amazing and adorable and there
Is no one else I’d rather work out with.

### 5/5 — This fits me

*2026-07-14, version 2.3100.22*

I love barre and Pilates and this is a great blend. I thought it would be weird not being in a studio but this makes it so easy to squeeze in a workout when the day has gotten away from me.
