### 3/5 — Love Barre3, not a fan of the app

*2025-10-29*

The app is very frustrating. It no longer logs my completed workouts after I finish a video. There isn’t an option to mark that I’ve completed a specific video which would be helpful to not only track progress, but also help remind me of which videos I’ve done in the past. If I stream the video from the app to my TV it doesn’t log the video when finished. You can’t track progress in app anymore, it kicks you out to their website instead. This app could be so great, just as great as the Barre3 workouts! I hope they improve the functionality and features for those of us paying the online membership.

### 3/5 — Classes are great, app needs work

*2025-07-07*

Love the classes this review is not about that. The review is focused on app functionality and features. Why can’t we access our own collections on the app (we can on the web). I know we can access our favorites as one long list, but I specifically created my own collections (warm ups, b3 focus lower, b3 focus glutes, b3 focus core, etc) b/c the filtering functionality is lacking. For example being able to drill down the b3 focus classes even further would be great as they just seem to be sprinkled in with the strength classes filter which makes finding a focus class hard. Better filtering and accessing our own collections in the app would be a great update. Thankfully I can mirror my iPad screen and use the web platform for classes, but not everyone can.

### 4/5 — 4

*2025-04-01, version 2.6.10*

I have been using Barre 3 for 2 years.Love the workouts and the trainers. The app needs work. Crashes and is slow. It would be a much better experience if the app had some work.
4/1/2025 Update. I received an email from the developer indicating they have worked on the issues. Working much better today.

### 3/5 — Love this app but it’s not tracking my work outs

*2025-02-12, version 2.6.6*

I’m grateful for this app but it’s a big bummer that only 2 of the 30 workouts I’ve done have shown up on the progress tracker, I’ve been working so hard and wish it reflected on the app. I have reinstalled and updated multiple times.

### 3/5 — Love barre 3, hate not being able to filter classes

*2025-01-20, version 2.6.4*

0 stars for the updates just made. I cannot find classes I want and it’s a huge drag to find a class now. I love barre 3. 5 stars for them!

### 3/5 — Love barre3, really don’t like the new search/filter…

*2025-01-06*

I’m not sure why the previous filtering feature was removed and a general search was added. Now instead of being able to multi-filter by type of class, props, length, etc., there’s a search bar that you have to type something into before those filters will appear. And some of the old filters are missing—the all standing, plankless, and no props options are gone. Worst of all, it seems you can only select one filter at a time, which is really disappointing. The app used to be much more intuitive. I’m not sure why extra steps were added to the UX.

**Developer response:** Hi Cloudyah,

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide us your feedback. We have heard that this new experience does not live up to what you all need, and we are so sorry for that! We have updated our filter experience to offer the previous functionality. If you have any more questions or feedback, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at onlinesupport@barre3.com.

### 3/5 — Filter Changed for the Worse

*2025-01-06, version 2.6.4*

I have loved using the Barre3 Online app when I travel and can’t attend a class in person. I could filter the classes by the equipment I wanted to use, such as resistance bands, weights, etc. That appears to no longer be an option. When I use the filter, it takes me to a search, not actual options for filtering. :(

### 3/5 — Improvements needed.

*2024-12-30, version 2.6.4*

It’d be nice if I could filter the classes by the equipment I have.

### 2/5 — Love Barre 3 BUT APP IS TERRIBLE

*2024-04-02, version 2.5.2*

I had a good run for a few months of no issues with the application. Now anytime I try or cast on my TV it just shuts down. It takes forever to load any page except for my favorites on the application and the website. I’ve deleted and redownloaded the app, I’ve made sure my phone is updated. I’ve turned on and off my app and cleared my cookies on my web browsers. Please fix the app so we can enjoy our classes again!

### 3/5 — Love Barre3, not so much the app yet

*2023-11-15*

I have been doing Barre3 online for almost 3 years. I absolutely love all the workouts and online instructors. I like the look of the app, but I’m bummed all the features I’m used on the web version are not working properly yet. None of my workouts save and there is no way to add a workout on the app. When I go and try to add the workouts on the desktop version it says I logged an in studio workout. 🤔 I’m confident the developers can work out the kinks and I’m looking forward to more updates and improvements.

### 3/5 — I wish I could access private collections

*2023-10-04, version 2.2.0*

Update 10/4/23: new update, allows you to look at your favorites! This is huge in a long time in coming. Still can’t access, private collections, but it’s still a huge step to be able to look at all your favorites.

Logging into the browser is still easier to get what I’m looking for. I love that my subscription can now carry over to downloadable videos on my phone! The portable ease rocks! But I look forward to future improvements in the app. Things like: -Being able to read the whole title without having to play the video. -Being about to schedule a workout from the barre3 desktop site and find it with ease on my app. -Syncing recently watch workouts in app and desktop browser.

### 2/5 — Each update makes the app worse

*2023-07-08*

I LOVE Barre3! This has nothing to do with their service other than this app continues to get worse. The last update made it difficult for me to stream to my TV. Another update has now lead to issues for me to use my subscription. Every time I click on a session I want to do, it tells me I have to buy a subscription while I’m logged into my paid subscription account. I’ve double checked and I’ve paid through the end of the year. I can also access everything without issues via my laptop. It’s the app, not the services.

**Developer response:** Thank you for the feedback! A fix specifically for Chromecast will be out shortly. Please update your app when available.

- barre3 team

### 3/5 — I wish I could access private collections

*2023-05-31*

Update: app got an update but unfortunately still doesn’t allow you to look at your favorites or privately curated collections.

**Developer response:** Hi Keepincalmcaro,

Thanks for using the offline download feature and for your feedback. We will take your suggestions into consideration as we look to make improvements to the app.

Best,
The barre3 Team

### 3/5 — Miss the Calendar

*2023-05-02*

I love Barre3. I have used the online classes for over 3 years now. I used Barre3 during my entire pregnancy and now postpartum. I originally just went to the website each time and logged in until recently, I downloaded the app. The app is more convenient with logging in and being on my Home Screen, however I really miss my calendar. It was a big motivator to get a sticker for completing and seeing how many workouts I’ve been doing. This feature is lacking within the app. I hope this gets fixed!

### 3/5 — What happened to my favorites?

*2023-04-17, version 2.0.7*

I had always wished that my favorites on the website could be synced with my favorites on the app, but I accepted that they were different. Now since the app has been updated, I can’t find any of the workouts that I had previously saved. This is very frustrating.

### 2/5 — Okay app

*2023-03-05, version 1.02*

I still prefer to use the website version instead of the app. The app doesn’t show my history or tracking like the website does. I’ve also noticed that my account doesn’t connect between the app and website version. Filters are also not easy to use on the app. Still enjoy Barre3 but I don’t enjoy using the app.

### 3/5 — Doesn’t synch with online profile

*2023-01-02, version 1.02*

Love the workouts and the instructors, just not the app! The app will not track your workouts. I had done a solid two months of barre3 through the app, and I was disappointed to find that only the first few, which I had done through the website, were tracked. If this problem was fixed it would be a solid 5 stars for me.

### 3/5 — Love the classes, but the app needs some work to help you find them.

*2022-09-12*

I love barre3 classes, and the best part about this app is that I can do them at home with this app. There are so many classes you can search for and there is something for everyone. The production and sound is good.

Pros:
- Variety of classes at different lengths
- many classes to choose from
- production of classes and modifications are great
- can chrome cast

Cons:
- the music is terrible compared to in person classes.
- search functionality is non existent. Would love to see filters for length of class, instructor, focus, props.
- app does not save which classes you did like the website.

Overall I’m still glad I got the year subscription but I do wish the app functionality is better.

### 1/5 — Does not work

*2025-12-17, version 2.6.13*

App does not work at all with new iOS update. Unbelievably annoying.

### 1/5 — App Functionality.... Needs Help

*2025-02-17, version 2.6.6*

I hove barre3 online classes but their mobile app is horrible. It glitches and crashes all the time, frequently goes unresponsive. Incredibly difficult to use. Please fix it

### 1/5 — App does not work

*2024-09-24, version 2.5.8*

I downloaded this app and could never get it to open a workout or stop glitching.

### 1/5 — Frustrating to use…

*2023-06-05*

I love barre3, but this app is terrible. First, the inability to save favorites is ridiculous. I have to save them on the website and refer back, which is frustrating. Trying to find videos takes way longer than it should because the app constantly resets to the top of the page. If you do manage to find the video you’re looking for and need to pause it for any reason or go back a few seconds, it will either restart or go to a completely random part of the video. I think if you stick to the weekly plan they provide and have no intention of pausing the videos, you’ll be fine, but if you want to do anything else, you’ll be wasting a lot of time. I find myself not using it as much as I’d like because it’s not worth the hassle.

### 1/5 — App doesn’t recognize my subscription

*2023-06-03, version 2.0.7*

The app used to work no problem but now when I go watch a video it takes me to the subscription page. When I hit restore it says restore failed. I can watch videos on the website without issue.

### 1/5 — B3 is awesome, app is not.

*2023-05-01, version 2.0.7*

I love my B3 practice and how it makes me feel. Unfortunately the recent updates have made the iPhone app and Samsung tv app I unusable. So disappointed I am missing my daily workouts. Hoping improvements can be made so the apps will load videos again. Can’t access the 14 day power of practice collection thru the app either.

### 1/5 — Needs a LOT of Work

*2022-03-30*

The NEVER allows me to login with the fingerprint option even though I have told it to use it several times. I end up having to click 3 login buttons every time I use the app because it also does not keep me logged in.

Then the app takes at least 30 seconds to load. My iPad is 1 year old and I have 1 gig symmetric data so I know its not my internet connection.

Searching for workouts in the app is not as good as the website. Every time you find a workout and select it, it then brings you into a collection of workouts where you have to locate the workout that you wanted again.

**Developer response:** Hi RedB8S4,

Thanks for your feedback and for being a barre3 subscriber!

1. Can you send onlinesupport@barre3.com which iPad device + OS you are on so we can troubleshoot this further with our tech team? You can also opt out of using your fingerprint or facial recognition after you log in.

2. We are working on this feature with our tech team! We agree that it would be helpful to see all the workouts you've already completed. For now, you can view all the workouts you've completed under "Recently Watched" in "My List".

3. If you have any other issues or questions with the app, please reach out to our Customer Support team at onlinesupport@barre3.com.

Best,
The barre3 Team

### 1/5 — Not barre!

*2021-09-21, version 1.0*

Former dancer & Pilates devotee…this has no relationship to barre! Took one ‘intro’ class on Apple TV and it’s strength training! Also cannot rewind the session which is unreal for a first timer! Quite disappointing!

### 2/5 — Love the workouts, app needs serious work

*2025-03-12*

I’ve been an avid barre3 follower for 7 years- first as a studio member and now online only. However, the app is so SO frustrating to use. It glitches and crashes almost every time I use it. The filtering for classes is not the way it used to be. I also miss the comments for each class to get insight on how people liked the class. I wish there was a way to track which classes we’ve taken as well and track our progress better. Make this app more user friendly please! And what happens to the Roku App? Now I have to apple play onto TV which frequently crashes. These are just some of the features I find frustrating.

**Developer response:** Hello! I am sorry that you are frustrated! We discontinued the Roku app a few years back. However, we have just released a new version of the app iOS app to resolve the crashing issue that you were facing. Can you please update the app and contact us at onlinesupport@barre3.com if you still have problems?

### 2/5 — Needs some work compared to the STUDIO app version

*2025-01-11, version 2.6.4*

Compared to the Barre3 STUDIO app this one is falling behind. I wish they would give this app the same amount of love they give the studio app. I would love to see them re visit the UX and UI design to make this app just as enjoyable and easy to use as the studio app… you can just tell it’s tier below it!

### 5/5 — Barre3 online

*2025-02-08*

Barre3 online can’t give you the sense of community that you get in studio but it can give you the sore muscles. I like that you can choose the length of the class along with the type of class. My normal class is 30 minute Signature. Have been taking classes for ten years.

**Developer response:** Hi Mjms53!

I am so sorry this is happening for you. Can you reach out to us at onlinesupport@barre3.com and we will help you troubleshoot the issue? Thanks!

### 5/5 — Authentication Doesn’t Work on iPad

*2023-03-11, version 1.02*

Authentication issue was fixed. A handy app - I especially like that you can search by prop type, although it would be nice to search by props you do NOT want included as well.

### 5/5 — Oh the connection

*2022-12-07*

Full transparency… I did barre 3 for a solid year 3 years ago. I quit and started to migrate into other avenues and other workout programs. Nothing felt right, nothing was “enjoyable”. The past couple months I came back to barre3 and it just felt like home! The individuality and the autonomy to do what your body needs. It’s encouraged to serve your body not what the world thinks your body needs. No judge zone and with an emphasis on not judging yourself but simply showing up and being yourself! Love it!

### 5/5 — Perfect all-rounder

*2022-10-13*

I love the workouts on this app. I joined for the barre classes but it also includes pure cardio and strength classes with heavier weights. So for a weekly schedule, it encompasses everything you need. The trainers are all really positive and each class ends with positive affirmations, while bringing your heart rate down, so you feel refreshed and ready to go about your day, rather than exhausted.

### 5/5 — Fantastic!

*2021-11-23*

I love this app! I have done every barre workout out there & this is the best one I have found! I like that I can stream from anywhere, I like that the trainers remind all the time & give variations of the work out I love the music I love that the trainers are normal people & not skinny Barbie doll types I love the variety in workouts I love this app! Thank you Barre3! I highly recommend to anyone!

### 5/5 — Love the app!

*2021-09-21, version 1.0*

I’ve been doing the Barre3 workout since COVID. Bur was frustrated with the whole sing in process. The app settled that. Great addition!

### 5/5 — FINALLY!

*2021-09-01, version 1.0*

I have been wishing for an app since I found Barre3. This is amazing! Thank you!

### 5/5 — Absolutely love it!

*2021-08-30, version 1.0*

Barre3 is an amazing complete positive workout as it is. Add to that the ability to do it anytime and any where with this very easy to use app.

You can download the practice. You can search by different options.

They even have pre and post natal practices.

Don’t doubt it. Your life will be so much better with this!

### 5/5 — so good

*2021-08-24, version 1.0*

wow glad that there is finally an app!! love it

### 5/5 — Excited to have the app, but please keep adding features!

*2021-08-20, version 1.0*

Having the app is awesome, and I’m thrilled about being able to download workouts. But please enable the ability to cast on Chromecast and integrate favorites from the website.
