I used to enjoy watching KFC do his One Minute Man breakdowns on Instagram, but I got rid of my social media and hoped he would have his videos on this app. Looking at the “latest” videos posted under the One Minute Man page showed videos from a few years ago. I had to for this app. Content is excellent. Big fan of several writers on the platform. However, the ad delivery makes consumption of the content impossible. When an ad is delivered during the reading of an article or the watching of a video, the entire page jumps up or down repeatedly. As a result, I either quit the article, or close the app entirely so I don’t rage throw my device out of the window. For the love of God, fix the damn ad delivery. I have to ‘kill’ the app if I want to ensure it loads the latest content; the feed makes it impassible to discern between what is a blog and what is just a link to a podcast; once you load a blog you must deal with incessant gambling ads & god forbid the author try to quote a source in their article because you’re gonna get white text over a grayish/white background that makes reading the quote impossible & forces me off the app to actually read the quote. ### 1/5 — New App Failings *2025-05-23, version 60.1.0* I have been a regular user and reader for years and am done with barstool. The new interface is unusable and is a jump too far on findability and ad integration. I loved the app because I could quickly consume content in the short windows my day allows me. I’m actually in shock that one of the largest media companies in the country could have such a terrible app. Horrible interface, extremely glitchy, everything is out of order, and it’s visually terrible with the text size and picture size. I seriously have nothing good to say. And I LOVE barstool and am a die hard fan of a ton of their personalities, content, shows, and podcasts. One feature request I’d make is to add a back button, especially when in the shop.
