Perfectly pour your favorite cocktails with the click of a button. The Barsys Coaster App syncs with the corresponding Barsys Coaster device enabling users to pour their own expert cocktails in their homes. Users simply select the cocktail they would like to make from the extensive library and follow the step-by-step instructions on their screen. The coaster auto completes steps just by leaving an empty glass perfectly still on the scale. You can’t measure anything correctly because the coaster completes over half, if not the full step, for that ingredient before moving onto the next. You can’t cancel a drink you’re making to restart you just have to unplug the scale, plug it back in, re-pair the Bluetooth, and restart your drink process. There is no way to reset the device in the app. There is no way to go back a step and start it over if the scale just completes it for you in 3 seconds with no activity by you.. the whole thing is beyond worthless. Do not waste your money on it.

I have a whole lot of liquors, mixers and several different kinds of booze. And after I entered everything I have (which was a pain) it's claiming it can only make about six drinks, ridiculous. Then every time you try to create your own recipe it can’t save and then won’t show up as a drink you have created. Great idea but the app nearly ruins it. It also doesn’t look like there’s a way to just turn on the mixing feature, so I can put whatever I want to in it and just mix it. Again great idea & concept but very poorly executed. Until they fix the app I would not buy.

My son got me the Barsys Smart Coaster 2.0, so naturally I was excited to begin messing around with it.  Finding the My Bar section, I figured I’d add some of my liquors.  I started with bourbon, of which it successfully found 37 of my 100+ bottles.  Even missed a ton of very easily accessible, and common bourbons like Maker’s Mark and Knob Creek.  From a functionality perspective, it seems like it should do what is intended if it recognizes more liquors.  Giving it a 3 star review based on not identifying common liquors.  Hopefully the list grows.

I like this system for the most part. I’ve had to replace my canister 2 times because it stops spinning. My other issue is that I receive multiple emails every week with new cocktails but when I check the app there’re not there. I emailed them about this problem. Said they were working on it . So far nothing has changed. This would be a great system if they fixed the issues. Also they have added a feature which requires me log in with my DOB and phone# each time.  Very annoying and time consuming.  My husband does not have to do this on his phone. I have contacted them about this also.

I wasted the time to punch in every liquor and mixer I had, only to be presented with a rather short basic list of cocktails I could make. Frankly, that would have been the ONLY benefit for this app. Get yourself a jigger and a better cocktail recipe app, and save yourself lots of time, wasted bar/counter space and $$$$. Seriously, you can pour and measure ingredients way faster with a jigger or measuring cup than the silly cheap-looking lighted coaster/scale with a plastic glass and useless magnetic rotor. HINT: cocktail recipes are by volume, NOT weight. Perhaps mildly entertaining for high-schoolers, that are wow’ed by colorful moving lights, though.

P.S. I got BarSys coaster scale as a gift, and feel badly for how much $ my gift-giver forfeited on this waste of space. And I’ll have to haul it out for snow when they visit next, before I try to pawn it off on eBay.

The Barsys Coaster is great, but this app has become a horrible experience. A short while ago they added age verification, and since then I have to enter my birthday and mobile phone everytime I use the app. It often fails to complete the process, rendering the coaster unusable. I’ve deleted the app and reinstalled it to try to fix the issue. No luck. I’ve written support several times and have received no response. My only remaining option before completely giving up on this app and deleting it is to leave this review. I hope they fix these issues.

This is a great device for the amateur bar keep. At first the app was a little difficult to get through and understand, but once you have it figured out…smooth like a cocktail. I do like that you can customize your recipes and add what you have in your bar to pick out a drink. Overall I would recommend!!!

The Barsys Coaster and App are the perfect combination. It’s great at get togethers when you don’t know how to make a certain drink. Just look it up or add it to your favorites and no need getting shot glasses dirty it’s all done for you on the coaster and app. All my friends have got one after seeing mine
