Ive been using this Bartab app X 2 years and have tweaked it to take care of my bar tabs with quick and efficient transaction handling.  I’ma computer guy so I added a lil extra flare to make my drink and for menu comfortable to use to include leaving drink prep instructions for anyone working with me.  Keep going with this app and I bet you will rate it quite right up there with the best.

This app looks like just what we're after, but I have a few questions and can't find support or docs? In the demo, once I have more than one customer, people seem to only be able to buy one item at a time - is this intended. eg: if you click beer, you must them click customer and finalise. What if they want three beers? Surely don't have to click customer and finalise 3x?

This app is very glitchy I’ve message them many time with no reply 

There’s no option for Canadian currency. I added someone’s name and it added five of the same name 

Also you cannot track your keg consumption 

I wish they would at least acknowledge my messages

I’m sorry that your experience with the app has been subpar, I try to iron out bugs as they appear but sometimes there’s one or another that I miss.

While adding more currencies is on the to-do list, using USD for CAD should work in the meantime as it’s only used to determine how to display the prices/balances.

Automatic stock tracking is also in the pipeline for future updates but I can unfortunately make no promises of when it might hit the App Store due to time constraints. Not sure how that works with kegs, but would love to hear more!

Regarding your earlier messages, I’m pretty sure I haven’t received them. I’m quite diligent in answering when I do get feedback because I really value it. Might be something’s gone wrong with the in-app mailing system that I set up.

Crashes every time I try to add item or add a person. It looks like what I need but it just doesn’t not work? It happens on iPhone and iPad. Ipad and iPhone are up to date. I will try again if you can fix otherwise will have to cancel prior to evaluation period.

Hello, I like this app and it’s quick and easy to create tabs. The issue I have is when you edit a persons tab to add or subtract from their balance it does not let you leave a note as to why the amount was changed. When you click on note it just closes out instead of letting you type. If this was fixed 5 stars for sure. Great job!

• Team & audit log — Add staff with their own PINs and access groups, and see every purchase, edit, and PIN change in a full activity log.
• Group orders — Pick a party of customers up front, then attribute each item you tap to a specific guest. Waiter-style ordering.
• Cart discounts — Apply a percent or fixed-amount discount to the whole cart or specific customers before finalizing. Savings show on receipts and invoices.
• Sales by staff — New Statistics screen breaks sales down per staff member for shift comparisons.
• More languages — Bartab is now available in Swedish, European Portuguese, and Brazilian Portuguese.

• Menu categories — group items into "Beer", "Cocktails" and so on, and swipe between category pages on the menu.
• Customer list — sort by name or balance, filter to open tabs only, and search by name.
• PIN protection — lock sensitive settings and screens behind a 4-digit PIN, with email recovery if you forget it.
• Self-checkout codes — give each customer a 4-digit code so they can check themselves out (great for bus trips and party rounds). Print an A4 sheet with everyone's code, or email all customers their code at once.
• Payment method & reference — record how a customer paid and add an optional reference when resolving a balance. Both show up on receipts and in transaction details.

• New Sales reports screen — get a sales summary by email, on demand or on a recurring daily, weekly, or monthly schedule. Send to your own address, your accountant, or a custom list of recipients.
• Customer replies to invoice, receipt, and balance update emails now go straight to your own inbox instead of info@bartab.info.

This version moves Bartab from account-required and paywalled to a freemium model, essentially replacing the 7-day trial with a sales based limit on free tier accounts and allowing use without creating an account first. Accounts can still be created to facilitate preserving data between install and sharing data across devices. The following methods are now available for sign in:

- Apple OAuth
- Google OAuth

The update also holds minor UX improvements for the balance update screen and some other places across the app.
