Since I worked in a restaurant that had an extensive bar, I thought this would really help. I had started studying a variety of the categories and was learning a lot. It was a great app that was incredibly helpful for someone to learn about alcohol when you don't have a knowledgeable, personal bartender to ask all of your questions. I would have given the app 5 stars at that time. I deleted it from that phone years ago. This past week i had a conversation about various liquors, but I realized that I was not as knowledgeable as I would have liked to be in the discussion. I went through the old apps I used to have because I remembered about some great flash card app I had. I found this but after throughly going through the first set of cards to 100% mastery (which is a great interface and program to encourage the user to study the cards but be honest with themselves) I attempted to start the next set. That is the point I realized the app had changed to a 'pay as you go' app which looks free at the start but once you get beyond the basics you realize you have to pay for each step from that point on. Summary: Pros: -well developed interface -well divided by category to allow study in one area. -opportunity to gain a lot of information about specific topics -all around a great app for learning Cons: - It used to give this information for free but now makes you pay. - is very limited in information for the free user. ### 5/5 — Great for memory *2017-06-30* This app is fabulous for learning important facts about alcohol, from beginner to more advanced bartending. ### 5/5 — Everything you need to succeed *2017-05-05* Easy to use and very helpful when I wanted a job to make a few extra bucks. Unfortunately a lot of the recipes seem to be aimed more toward entertaining at home than at bartending as an occupation, and will most likely never come up in a real life situation (unless you run an Elks Lodge and have punch parties often) and a good amount of the "trivia" type information is at best partially inaccurate, and more often dead wrong...eg: "American pale ale characteristics: Almost no malt or hop flavor. Like Sierra Nevada Pale Ale".
