### 4/5 — Bartender.live

*2024-03-20, version 1.52*

Great app. Has been very useful.
Please add a search function to look up featured cocktails. Also the ability to look for drinks featuring a particular spirit would be nice also.

### 4/5 — WHATS HERE WORKS

*2020-12-16, version 1.49*

Well i gave two stars and griped a lot in my first review and the developer responded right away. 👍🏻 will try what they suggested and try to be nicer. :)

### 5/5 — Great app with 1 suggestion

*2020-06-17*

I love that I can select ingredients and spirits I have in my home and instantly have a list of drinks I can mix right away! Only suggestion is I’d like the ability to also filter the “In My Bar” section by spirit or ingredient if I’m filling a particular spirit or ingredient.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the idea! The next version (coming soon) will include the ability to filter the ingredients.

### 5/5 — Mr Dennis Flamer

Wonderful App. Heaps of Cocktails. Love it.

### 5/5 — Love it

*2020-04-25*

I really enjoy this simple app. My favorite feature is the “in my bar”
. I check off the ingredients on hand and it give me a list of what I can make. Awesome!

**Developer response:** Thanks for the review! Glad you enjoy it!

### 5/5 — nice

*2020-01-28, version 1.43*

neat

### 5/5 — Continued awesome

*2020-01-28, version 1.43*

I’ve used this app for a few months now and it is excellent! Are there things I wish for? Sure, but this is still the best app going.

Update on review May 1, 2019 the new drinks flag no longer shows up in the drinks library. App v. 1.41.385 The only way to see new drinks is by taping the alert that comes in on the main screen a little after 5.

The above issue of missing alerts is no longer an issue. And... this continues to be the best mixed drinks app going. I HIGHLY recommend it. Super fun :-)

Another update, still LOVE the app. Request: please make it easier to submit drink suggestions and ingredient additions. The use of twitter is not a good idea. Maybe a dedicated email address. Rock on!!

### 5/5 — Near perfect guest drink menu

*2019-12-07*

This is a very nice app to be able to hand to guests and ask “What would you like from my drink menu”. Good use of images make it visually appealing and great to be able to enter what you have in stock to show what drinks you can make. Clicking on the ingredient in a drink recipe shows all drinks that can be made with that ingredient, but doesn’t limit it to those that can be made with ingredients you have in your bar. Also, for all of us that don’t Tweet, we need a way to add drinks of our own discovery.

**Developer response:** If you swipe left on an ingredient in "My Bar" you can see all the drinks that use it.

### 4/5 — Great app, but missing features

*2019-06-01*

This app is fantastic, and definitely worth $3, but has so much more potential. I wish it could suggest ingredients to buy (ie “Add mint leaves to your bar and you’ll be able to make 14 more drinks”). It would also be great to be able to filters drinks in my bar that I’m only missing 1, 2, or 3 ingredients for. Instead, I can only see the drinks that I already have everything for, or every other drink.
Otherwise, it’s a great app! So glad to have it.

**Developer response:** Those are great ideas! We’ll see what we can do!

### 4/5 — Best Bartender App I have used

*2019-02-11*

Much better than a handful of other apps I have tried. I like the short list of items in the My Bar section vs having named brand items listed - keeps the list much shorter.
The only nice to have would be the ability to create a grocery list based on the items listed in the My Bar section.

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2018-12-24, version 1.30*

It is extremely helpful when mixing drinks. I wish I could search recipes based on the liquor.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Alright, could have some improvements

*2024-02-23*

Being able to filter based on your in stock inventory is nice. I might suggest the ability to list how much of each inventory (quantity) you have, because obviously that's going to limit your sales volume. I also think a search option would be useful, say for example you want to filter by drinks that use "mint" as an ingredient. The supplies section is completely useless, and doesn't seem to be developed by anyone who's actually worked in the industry. Otherwise it's a nice pocket reference. It's obviously not all encompassing, for example I went to search for "hot toddy" and there is not a recipe for what is a fairly common drink.

I wrote a kind review and the idiot developer responded with two blatant lies about their product. I'm now rating this as 1 star because of this asswipe.

**Developer response:** Hi and thanks for the review!
Please note that you absolutely can search for drinks that use mint. Pull down on any of the lists in the Drink Library and you’ll see the search box.
Also: Hot toddy is one of my favorite drinks and it’s been in the system since day one!

I’m confused. You dropped the rating from 4 stars to 1 star after I replied. How did my response have a negative impact on your review of my app?

### 1/5 — Don’t waste your money.

*2019-02-19, version 1.30*

I have a small home bar with only a handful of ingredients. This app doesn’t even have half of them in its inventory, and it doesn’t allow me to add them. I’m sorry that I wasted my money on this.

### 2/5 — Search function is really poor

*2024-04-27, version 1.52*

I search for “Gin Campari “ within the All Drinks tab and it returned nothing; not helpful!

### 2/5 — It was a pretty good app but now

*2020-04-28, version 1.43*

So it was a good app, now it is just spamming with particular brands. Come on, a gin and tonic is the same without having a gin and tonic recipe and three elephant brand gin and tonic recipes that are all the same.

I get that you are looking for advertising $$$ but this is just lazy.

### 3/5 — Alright, could have some improvements

### 3/5 — Nice app

*2019-11-03, version 1.43*

I like the app, it has all the popular drinks and I like the 5:00drink of the day. I just wish I could add my recipes.

### 3/5 — Possible update

*2019-04-03*

I like that I’m able to input all my bar items and the app will show me possible drink recipes. An additional feature I’d like to be able to do is from that list, I’d like to sort all my recipes by my different spirit. Like, I’m in the mood for a drink with bourbon, what’s my possible recipes with bourbon.
Just a thought.

**Developer response:** Click the "My Bar" button at the bottom of the screen. Find Bourbon in the list and swipe right. There you can see a list of all the cocktails made with bourbon.

### 3/5 — Good but not good enough

*2019-02-02*

I have been searching for a good mixologist app since my last one began to get buggy and wasn’t being updated. I’ve tried a lot and frankly this one seems really nice. EXCEPT on adding drinks. While it has a great collection it doesn’t have them all and I have some favorites I’d like to add. Can’t do that. Why?! One can submit a pic on Twitter in hopes they will contact you. Two problems with that: I don’t want my Twitter feed to show pics of drinks! And second they may not include it still. I want my app to have drinks I’ve discovered over the years whether they want to include or not. And if I want to share a drink with the rest of the world, give me a private way to submit. Otherwise this is a nicely designed and useful app. I really like the generic drink categories for my bar instead of brands. So fix the personalization issue and it will be 5 stars.

### 3/5 — Good, but needs some work

*2019-01-15*

I love the concept of letting the app tell you which drinks you can build based on what’s in your bar, but the ingredients and recipes are not as comprehensive as one might hope... spiced rum, anyone?

Also, while the icon is fine, I’d love an icon which fits in better with the iOS design motif, like those for Lush or Highball.

### 3/5 — Need a Quality Control Feature

*2018-12-21*

I’ve found a number of recipes that are missing key ingredients. There needs to be a feature to submit feedback on recipes to have them updated. For example, your Colorado Bulldog recipe makes no mention of cream; however the picture is correct and has cream. It would be better to have a feedback feature rather than have to constantly update reviews to reflect errors.

**Developer response:** Check the "Submitting Recipes & Photos" option on the Help tab!
Traditionally a Colorado Bulldog doesn't call for cream, although that is a common variant. There are often multiple ways to make a cocktail and including every one simply isn't possible. Always happy to consider feedback, though.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Still great and now even better!!

*2026-08-24*

I have recommended this app to many friends and just about anyone interested in making cocktails. I’ve been using it for 7 years now and I think it’s still the best one available!!

**Developer response:** That's very odd and we cannot reproduce that problem.
Can you please submit a bug report about this so we can contact you? You can do so through the website by visiting the /contact page.

Thanks for the feedback!

### 5/5 — Love this app!

*2022-12-11*

This is such a great app. It keeps track of not only my favorite cocktail recipes but also keeps track of what cocktails I can make with what I currently have available in my bar!

### 5/5 — Awesome app

*2022-11-04, version 1.52*

It’s great I use it at least once a week for recipes

### 5/5 — How Great

*2022-05-29, version 1.52*

I have been negligent in not giving this app its well deserved five stars.

It makes life so much more enjoyable, just being able to mix a drink correctly, and to try out new ones.

Thanks. I’m now in my so called ‘golden years’ and want to give you the SHOUT OUT that you deserve.

Thanks for making life more enjoyable! Thanks

### 5/5 — Just the way it should be

*2022-01-17*

Selective, tasteful, well-designed app with an interactive feature that I will be trying out tonight

### 5/5 — I really like what I see!

*2021-12-22*

After reviewing a number of app reviews, I bought this one a couple of days ago and made my first drink. I really like what I see so far. I would absolutely give this app a 5 star rating if it would give me the ability to make notes on a recipe and to add my own recipes/pictures. I would like to tweak the drink recipe I made for my own personal preference. I have a several favorite recipes I’d like to add that are similar to existing recipes, but I can’t see requesting to add it to the list. I do have a couple of recipes others might like, but I don’t have a Twitter account and have no desire to get one. It would be great if requesting the addition of a new drink was easier. Please consider! Thanks! Update: Glad to hear of the upcoming revisions. I’m assuming the “New” tab on the drinks list shows the new drinks received each day, but it doesn’t. The tab is always grayed out. How do I see the daily drinks? If I don’t click on the notification when it’s sent, I’ll never see the new drink sent.

**Developer response:** We're working hard on a new version that will include the ability to customize recipes and add your own!

### 5/5 — Adding recipes

*2021-04-23, version 1.51*

I wish there other options to adding recipes ... I don’t have Twitter

### 5/5 — Actually a decent app

*2021-01-09*

So, I've finally been able to checkout the features of this app, and it's actually really good. I love the fact that you can add drinks, you the individual made. That being said. There are somethings that need to be improved upon for instance there are recipes that call for a particular product they liquor cabinet for what someone has needs to expanded to different brands of Gins, Vodkas, Brands, rums, and Tequilas as well as liqueurs. Since many of the drinks'll call for a specific spirit. This would help give someone an even more in depth idea on what they can make.

Now while the app allows people to add recipes they created there are some on there to be desired, but I have to say the one that annoys me the most is the huffington posts recipe for the "classic" Martini theirs is the modern Martini. The classic martini does NOT refer to the amount of Vermouth you use in the martini so if someone asks for a dry Martini it's supposed to refer to the type of Vermouth used NOT the amount. (This last bit is more of a rant but it needs to be said).

**Developer response:** Hi, Footballer4lifer123,
We've published a new version of the app which should resolve your problem!

### 5/5 — Best bartending app out there

*2020-10-09*

I’ve checked out a bunch of cocktail recipes apps, and this really beats them all. It’s well designed, has a huge database, and is truly functional. Search is great, and the ability to find drinks based on available ingredients isn’t in any other bartender app. Highly recommended.

### 5/5 — Useful, inexpensive, but needs thumbnails

*2020-09-28*

So far the app is inexpensive and useful. However, it’s be more useful if there were thumbnails for each cocktail in the “In my Bar” list. Perhaps some categorization too. My list is a bit long and it’s just a lot of words to me.

UPDATE: the app now has thumbnails in the list! Yay!

**Developer response:** The drink library now has thumbnails! Sorry it took so long!
