It allows you to take full control as you would wish in a GM game. The main issue is the constant crashing. You’re lucky to play 10-15 minutes without the game shutting you out. Though it has an auto save feature, I suggest saving manually each time you do something significant (trades, roster upgrades, draft etc) ### 3/5 — Enjoyable but one main Issue *2024-08-21* When I found out there was a baseball game I immediately downloaded it and began playing. While the game itself it pretty good compared to what I expected. There was one issue… I kept getting kicked out of my game, leading to all my progress being lost. I want to play to game but I despise the fact that I have to continuously re-save the game over and over every month. ### 2/5 — Doesn't Really Feel Like Baseball *2024-05-21* I enjoy HLM 24 play it everyday. When I saw they were making a baseball game I was super excited. I love baseball. However this game does not feel like baseball. Baseball doesn't have a salary cap. Every team using there own pay roll and sets there own budgets. This would greatly improve to game. Only allowing 50 contracts really kinda of hurts the game. Baseball teams have so many players under contract through the majors leagues. This limits creating leagues like AAA, AA, A, and rookie ball. The DH positions is no where to be found but when you go to your batting order you can't change it. In the minors have of my batting order is pitches. The game is also missing features like a 40-man roster and a day 5 draft. This games feels like it was created by someone who doesn't really like baseball but just wanted to make it because baseball is a sport and they have created games for every other sport. Again, love the games - just waiting on improvements for this one. I was always wanting a baseball game and immediately bought the pro version. Wow was i dissapointed. I have played the basketball one so frequently it’s crazy and I really wanted to just get into the baseball one. Here are my problems 1.) There has to be a difference between starting and closing pitchers. Ryan Helsley should not be a starting pitcher for St. louis 2.) It needs to simulate faster 3.) An ability to have payrolls based on real life. I want to play as poverty oakland not the same payroll as the yankees, it takes away from my experience 4.) Listen to the people(that’s the most important one) I truly believe this has a potential but is extremely unpolished. Kinda like Cyberpunk was when it came out. Really hope you see this and it helps you out. The other games are fantastic, don’t be discouraged because of one bad release, it can come back. ### 2/5 — Game has potential *2024-04-21* There are some lineup setup features that need fixing. When I set up my depth chart for defensive starters those players aren’t automatically in your batting order like they should be. For example I can have a player be playing SS but not be in the batting order. No true lineup page. Way outdated base rosters. The game is a shell of the hockey format and it’s clear that there was little effort put into this. In the meantime, I’m creating the entire 1985 season rosters and real future draft picks! ### 1/5 — Problems stemming from lack of sports knowledge *2024-04-24* Much like my issues with Football Legacy Manager, it doesn’t appear the developer knows much about the sport of baseball other than how it’s played. Here are my issues: 1. The scheduling is bonkers. I played the Milwaukee Brewers 12 times in a row. There is no structure to how the season plays out, it’s just blocks of games mashed together with no logic. 2. The player ratings. There needs to be more specific player rating categories. It doesn’t seem possible to make a hitter a good player without increasing all of his offensive stats. Sorry, but not every superstar hitter has to be Rickey Henderson, and not every Rickey Henderson has to be Babe Ruth. There needs to be added stats to allow diversity in how players contribute to the teams without being rated lower overall. 3. Lineups. Sorry, but there needs to be a DH/No DH option. The game puts pitchers in the lineup by default, and during one season I played through, I had a pitcher that was in the lineup every day and he hit 34 homers. I mean, it’s funny, but it’s not realistic … unless of course you’re Shohei Ohtani. But you catch my drift. 4. Salaries. Different teams in different markets should have different salary caps. The ability to set a team’s budget should be an editable option in the team editor section. And perhaps better team performance increases fan attendance, merchandise sales, etc., leading to a cap increase. And signing free agents shouldn’t always come down to massive contracts. There has to be other factors … like team location, team history, recent team performance, etc. ### 1/5 — Bugs *2024-04-22* Needs to fix bugs quickly. ### 1/5 — So many bugs *2024-04-21* Unplayable in this state. Complete waste of money when you can’t get through a season without corrupted files ### 1/5 — Baseball Manager Review *2024-04-21* Honestly, I was pretty excited for the game until I actually played. Maybe because I played as soon as they available to download but there is some things to fix. First off they should fix being able to sign a free agent every time I try to sign a free agent they don’t allow me to. Also there should be a free agent for each position. They will also say roster is invalid every time I try to simulate the season. Also, I understand that the extra players need to be sent down to the minor leagues but why don’t you guys automatically do that so unable to send players and send downs players without it being such a hassle. Also, there should be a minor league 2 not just minor-league three and the major league. The only problem was that the game crashed a lot. I was having fun playing it then it just exited me out the game. So I went back in and it happened again. So the only 2 things the game needs is 1 try to fix the issue with the crashing and 2 at least put the auto save on everyday. But other than that the game has been fun to play but in the next baseball game please make the issue go away.
