## What is Baseball Stats 2026 Edition?

Imagine all historical baseball player statistics immediately accessible on your iPhone! Major league stats from 1871 to 2025* are included, with no waiting for web access. *The free version goes up to 2024, and you can unlock the 2025 season with an In-App Purchase. This app is great for resolving arguments at the ballpark, at the bar, or in front of your TV. Look for a player by team and year, search for player name or team, or get career stats or season or career leaders. Rotate your device to see a "baseball card view" for any player. This Baseball Stats app has been updated each year since the Apple App Store was introduced in 2007.

- Search by player/team/year. Player tabs for batting, pitching, fielding, managing and personal. Season and career views.

Hi! I’ve been using this app religiously since approximately 2019 and I just wanted to express my appreciation for this amazing app! however, this new update  is not my cup of tea. When i click on a players profile, for example Josh Billings of the 1922 Browns, i used to be able to click on “career” followed by the three lines in the top right corner, which would then list things such as transactions, links to the players wikipedia page, their baseball reference, and their retrosheet pages. these for some reason have been removed. I hope they can come back! I don’t know if this is a bug on my end or if you removed them entirely but i wanted to make mention of this and hopefully clear things up!

**Developer response:** Thanks for reporting this bug. I made many changes to the code internally to bring it up to modern Swift and UIKit standards. (The app was written in 2007 and has evolved a lot since then but sometimes code needs a cleanup.) I am working on a fix to put these menu options back and hopefully you will see an update soon. Also note that you can go to the About menu (upper three line menu on the top left from the first screen of the app) and send me an email directly - feel free to send me feedback that way.  --Mark

Cost is .99 and seems to be a bargain for this stats program. Except for one thing. No stats from previous season 2025. Those numbers will cost 4.99. No free lunch. Misleading, otherwise excellent.

With the addition of Negro League statistics this app continues to hit homers…another great job by developer in making this an indispensable app…if you’re a baseball fan do yourself a favor and add this to your device…you’ll be glad you did…got to go…have more things to look at on the app

Usually by late in Spring Training, an update with the option to buy the previous year's stats is available. We're into the regular season, and nothing yet. Is there an ETA on that?

This is a big update. 
- Transactions: added transactions from 2022-2026. Go to Players and select a player, then on the Player-Years screen tap the upper right menu button and select Transactions.
- Player Career stats improvements: postseason career totals, including fielding post by position. Go to Player-Career for a player who played in postseason, tap the postseason tab on top. Can select Career . Also new "hamburger" menu button on upper right for personal stats.
- Career "Seasons" ranking improved. Go to Player-Career and tap on Seasons to see rankings.
- Team rankings improved. Go to a team, then Team Stats, then tap on a row to see team's rankings for each stat.
- Baseball card formatting fixes. From any player display, rotate phone to see Baseball Card view. Add OBA to pitching on baseball card view.
- Player stat ranking improvements. Go to player and tap on a stat to see rankings.
- Leaders fixes and improvements. "Select Kind of Stat"...more...stat picker, and also starting and ending year selection screen fixes.
- Shake works again. Shake your phone or long-press on back button from any screen will reset the app and go back to first screen (Teams).
- Player list shows debut-final years
- Text formatting improvements on some stat rows
- In Player-Years view, web links in menu improved. Can now see Retrosheet pages for negro leagues players.
- Fix All-Star game box score view button. From Years, select AllStar tab, then tap the info button next to the game score to see Retrosheet box score web page.
