### 4/5 — Great Value - excellent baseline

*2017-10-11, version 2.1.3*

This is a well thought out tool that provides a great platform to build your process around. While I would love to see some options and advancements, this product is a great well rounded tool that can work in any business.

### 4/5 — Review

*2017-03-10, version 2.1*

Basecamp very easy to learn & use. Intuitive. Much better than Google system that sends out confusing notices, usually late.

### 4/5 — Collaboration

*2017-02-15, version 2.1*

Good tool. One of many ways to collaborate.

### 3/5 — Useful but basic

*2017-01-09, version 2.1*

Could provide a bit more function compared to other remodeling project app's. One thing I think is needed is punch lists / templates to help the homeowners stay abreast of the remodel.

### 4/5 — Awesome App

*2016-11-06, version 2.1*

I love this app. It is a great way to assign things to students. It is a very organized app.

### 4/5 — Very useful, but could be better . . .

*2016-09-10, version 2.1*

The iOS Basecamp apps (iPhone & iPad) are very useful and work well--and I recommend them. However, they lack some key functionality such as the ability to filter To-Do lists for time. These shortcomings make it necessary to use the Web version.

### 3/5 — Ok

*2016-09-06, version 2.1*

Works fine, but would benefit from a way to sort by most recent responses

### 4/5 — Nice app

*2016-08-04, version 2.1*

The app is as usable as the regular interface. Well designed.

### 3/5 — Pretty and clean, but should be more functional

*2016-07-07, version 2.1*

I like the layout, it looks sharp and clean. However, it is not possible to filter to-do's assigned to me by date. So I am stuck looking at all the to-do's assigned to me over all of our projects at once, regardless of whether they are due tomorrow or next year.

### 4/5 — Impressive

*2016-06-23, version 2.1*

This is the first time I have been involved with an organization using BaseCamp. It is a great way to stay in touch with a group and to know exactly where various projects stand. The ability to comment ay any time is great. I like it!

### 4/5 — Use it every day

*2016-04-18, version 2.1*

Great program, use it every day for business, would love to see a recreational version for home planning, vacations etc.

### 4/5 — Academic

*2016-04-16, version 2.1*

Useful collaboration tool for research

### 5/5 — Love love love

*2016-02-24, version 2.1*

I love how I can organize everything and send tasks to my coworkers

### 5/5 — Confusion Saver

*2016-02-23, version 2.1*

Our group has several tasks and a subgroup. I appreciate the ability to post by topic or theme. Then everyone can respond in one place and go back to reference the conversation. The email notifications are also helpful. The app is great and I prefer Basecamp to Dropbox and Google docs.

### 5/5 — Very Useful

*2016-02-16, version 2.1*

We use this for some work projects and - when you can get everyone using it - it's a great tool.

### 4/5 — First-timer

*2016-02-11, version 2.1*

Several months ago I had not heard of BaseCamp. There are lots of productivity apps that claim to help you get more productive, this app does not make that claim, you just have to use it. I have utilized many of the app tools to help me organize my projects and thoughts. Thanks.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Crashes

*2018-11-19, version 2.1.5*

Still crashes when trying to export an attachment from the messages tab.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2018-07-06, version 2.1.3*

Spent half an hour typing in a response and could face find no way to add a comment. Went back to desktop. Sure it works for many but not for me!

### 1/5 — no search or categories?!

*2017-02-26, version 2.1*

For some reason there's still no search or category for messages, unlike the web app version...

### 1/5 — Basecamp for I Pad

*2016-08-29, version 2.1*

Yes, I've used Basecamp, a few glitches. At least when I contacted them, I got an answer with direction.
However, what I'm upset is that a company called Zapporoo. I contracted Zapporoo to create an app. Zapporoo uses Basecamp as a MULE to do bad business. Zapporoo never finished my app. Zapporoo needs to return my source code to me. Do not use this company. Shame on you Zapporoo 😡

### 1/5 — Review

*2015-12-20, version 2.1*

Terrible app. It continually puts me in a loop on my iPad that never ends. I can't get anything. Separately, I get emails that say something has happened, but I can't get access to see it. Separately it doesn't recognize my name and password, no matter what I do.

### 1/5 — Not a good project management tool

*2015-11-14, version 2.1*

Cannot make sub tasks within tasks. No Gantt chart. If a client is included on a project, software defaults to automatically include the in every aspect unless a check box to not share with the client is selected.

### 1/5 — Mostly useless for actual planning.

*2015-07-03, version 2.0.3*

With this app, it's not possible to see your overdue to-dos, or even your to-dos for today. They're all grouped together in "upcoming to-dos" along with future tasks. That makes it very difficult to use the app for planning your day or week.

### 1/5 — Underrated

*2015-03-23, version 2.0.1*

Don't know what I'm to do trying to deal with people who are setting up my web page.. Yellow but not going forward at all 4 weeks and still seen no forward movement

### 1/5 — New BC Only. All others need not apply.

*2014-12-04*

I never understood why BC updated its system in such a way that there was no forward compatibility. My current organization is the second who decided the "new" version was so much less product that they refused to migrate--while BC did nothing, so far as I can tell, to help with that burden. This new release continues to penalize those who liked the first version and who had too much invested to rework thousands of documents. The dev team crows about all the great new features....not a single one of which works with "classic" accounts.

The team is obviously very pleased with themselves and their work, and no doubt they worked hard. But they're just talking cleverly to each other inside their bubble; still tone deaf to customer wishes, needs and comments. They waited YEARS to make a version with screen rotation, for instance; seemed to think iPads were just a fad. They disenfranchised customers with their lame migration to the "new" program. They still don't get that customers come first. Amazing...but not in a good way.

### 2/5 — Overpriced

*2015-09-20, version 2.0.3*

Too pricey and lacking in features - better, more affordable option, is ActiveCollab - check it out and I'm sure you will agree.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

Love how everything is in the place and as projects get completed they get posted and updated too.

### 5/5 — Great interface

*2017-03-20, version 2.1*

The user interface is easy to use.

### 5/5 — Superb

*2016-09-03, version 2.1*

Loved how easy it was to get going straight away with this app. No need to watch and re-watch help videos, everything is just common sense.

### 5/5 — GreaT

*2016-08-21, version 2.1*

I Think it is great, so easy to use.

### 5/5 — Simple, good, handy

*2016-05-13, version 2.1*

Good interface, clean, free. Hard to ask for more.

### 5/5 — Can't live without Basecamp!

*2016-05-05, version 2.1*

Our 100 person company runs our marketing and sales promotions with it and have been for decades. Simply the best and most intuitive project organizer around.

### 5/5 — Great way to organize

*2016-04-13, version 2.1*

We have utilized Basecamp to post documents and materials for committee and board meetings. It has eliminated a good deal of email and paper copies of these materials at our meeting. I recommend it highly for going paperless.

### 5/5 — Awesome Boom!

*2016-03-10, version 2.1*

We love Basecamp! We use it in our construction company. It's easy, simple and effective. What's not to love?
