### 5/5 — Kindhearted Creators and Simplicity

*2024-04-17, version 1.3.2*

The lack of attention this app has compelled me to write a review, because it is a beautifully simple app. The features other than journalling involves a "get help" page with details on mental health assistance which is very useful. There is also their "gap fund" assistance program available for those that really need a bit of financial assistance and I think that is heartwarming.

The app itself has no distracting ads. It's easy as setting a time and writing at that time. Currently I've only had the app for a week, missing quite a few entries. I'm hoping to make a better habit of it so I can use this in addition to therapy as I always just say "I've been fine." Which doesn't do much. For reference I'm tracking my mood and recent activity for BPD.

Some suggestions: I always find myself wanting to edit a recent log to add onto it seconds after I did it, but I can't find how to do that. I've tried holding, swiping, and the settings menu, so I assume it isn't a thing (I'll keep looking though haha).
Second! Aesthetic themes. Humans (me) are more likely to look at personalized pretty things so this is super optional.
Finally, I think the graph is a bit hard to understand for me, but it's not that important. Reason is I would put "Average +2" and then "Above Average +2" or something and the circles would be in the same place on the mood line. I think they should be different.
That's all! Thank you so much for creating a free app that helps people. I am grateful for what the app has and want the creator to know it has helped me so far. I have 14 entries and more to come. I hope to see this app grow and become more popular!

### 5/5 — Way better than the alternatives imo

*2024-04-05, version 1.3.1*

I love the simplicity of this app and the way it’s focused on marking a mood based on a moment rather than the day as a whole.

The entire path of your day is tracked each time you write an entry instead of just “here’s your overall emotion based on the entire day” which other apps focus on. Let’s me quickly journal what happens in the moment when it matters. Also no ads, no fluff, just exactly what you need do write an entry.

There is a bug where if I open the app through a notification and write my entry and enter, the app just displays a blank white screen. I have to reopen it to continue but it saves my entry!!!!

### 5/5 — Wows

*2024-02-10, version 1.2.3*

Simple to use and free!~

### 5/5 — Exactly what I needed

*2024-01-21, version 1.2.2*

I gotta be honest, most of these mood and journal apps feel very niche. I have so much to say and I don’t wanna spend so much time trying to categorize my moods.

If you have deep feelings and thoughts, this app is for you. First of all, love that this app is free with no subscription model. No ads either. I hate ads, and I’ll gladly pay $5 to remove ads forever, but I hate subscriptions. I downloaded this app after checking it had no in-app purchases.

I love how it just lets you Freeform right because I don’t like prompts. And I like how you can track moods on a scale to -5 to 5. That’s so smart! :)

Recommending this app to my friends. Keep up the amazing work.

### 5/5 — Phenomenal

*2023-11-30, version 1.2.2*

I didn’t think I’d enjoy journaling- I’ve tried and struggled before- this app makes it so easy, and intuitive and just breaks down all the barriers I had- such a well designed app- highly recommend

### 5/5 — Amazing App

*2023-10-18, version 1.2.2*

Every other app seems to be trying to take my money. Not that the other apps aren’t good, but they are designed around making you pay for things. This app is not like that. It is simple, but boy does it work. I could never really journal like I wanted to, but this has been a game changer. Nothing too fancy that makes it so good, but the fact that it’s simple I think has helped me stick with it. Amazing app, 10/10 one of my favorites seriously.

### 5/5 — Great journaling app

*2023-09-26, version 1.2.1*

It reminds me often to journal and it’s super easy to use it just lets me start writing when I open the app. I set the number of notifications to 4 a day so I don’t actually journal every time it notifies me. I also love that it’s free and no ads.

### 5/5 — love everything about it

*2023-09-02, version 1.2.0*

this app has helped me so much in the past nearly year of using it

i've tried myriad mood journaling apps that never stuck
but i have a thousand entries on baseline

really simple and nice to use for quick sporadic entries or long introspections

the weekly mood analyses are insightful and motivating

i owe a lot to this app

### 5/5 — Fantastic!

*2023-07-27, version 1.1.9*

While I await the arrival of apples journaling app, honestly this app does exactly what I wanted. I have been trying to get better at writing out my thoughts periodically throughout the day and to try to track my emotions and moods — this app has been a godsend for that.

Couldn’t recommend anything better! Best of all, it’s free and easy to use.

### 5/5 — Awesome app!

*2023-07-26, version 1.1.9*

My favorite mood journaling app by far. Simple yet in depth. I love having the option to add a photo. Really helps me organize my thoughts and moods. Two thumbs up!

### 5/5 — Great!

*2023-07-13, version 1.1.8*

Baseline is great! Been using it a couples days and really like it so far.

I do have one suggestion, please add an option to randomize the time that the notification to journal shows up. I think expecting it to come makes my journaling more calculated, and I want it to be a real snapshot of how I’m feeling right then.

Love the app!

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2023-06-13, version 1.1.7*

An incredibly simple, accessible app that helped me get through a pretty stressful few months last year. Ideal for anyone who wants to get into the habit of hitting down daily.

### 5/5 — So helpful, so i\humble

*2023-03-26, version 1.1.4*

This app is exactly what I was looking for out of a mood tracker. Notifications as you want them, no advertising, no fluff, just inputting data efficiently. There’s an option hidden away in the menus to donate to their charity, I would highly advise doing so if you use the app for any length of time. Thanks developer!

### 5/5 — Baselines a W

*2023-02-08, version 1.1.3*

Literally just signing in having the time of my life 6 out of 5 stars

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Completely useless

*2025-07-27, version 1.6.4*

Try to add hourly logging reminders (my only reason for downloading this app) and as soon as you add the 11th, the first one is DELETED without warning. Yes, really. I don’t know about others but I am usually awake more than 10 hours a day so afaik a micro-journal app that fails to support the most basic use case it was made for is a colossal FAIL.

### 1/5 — Terrible App

*2025-07-05, version 1.6.4*

I'm fed up with this application telling me I'm not connected to the internet when I am. No other app on my phone does this. When it does this, it erases my audio recording instead of saving it like it does with my written entry. What am I paying for?

### 1/5 — Basic but better than Apples

*2025-05-08, version 1.6.3*

I wish they had better solutions to my problems

### 1/5 — 👎🏾

*2025-04-22*

Almost every time I use it it says something is wrong with my internet when my internet works just fine and I have to re-record/rewrite my journal again.

### 1/5 — Deleted entries

*2023-06-13, version 1.1.7*

All my entries were deleted without warning. Do not use.

### 4/5 — Some feedback

*2023-12-16*

Comparing it to a few other mood trackers, I wish it was just a bit more interactive. I like being unable to edit my entries, but I wish there was just a bit more to the app, maybe emoticons matching emotions, or some sort of affirmations.

I really love the app tho.

### 5/5 — Necessary

*2026-06-28, version 1.7.2*

The app is very useful in prompting me to express myself authentically.

### 5/5 — Life changing.

*2026-06-03, version 1.7.2*

This app is the best app I have ever downloaded. It is completely free. There are no ads and no gimmicks. The adding a picture function is so nice. My friends now refer to “journal pictures” cause I say it so much. It has made me enjoy life more - truly - to appreciate the small moments, and also to know that bad times normally do pass. I am a writer professionally but never journaled before. This app changed that. I think I will keep using it forever. It’s so nice to have this record of life. The format is incredible. I could talk about this app all day. I can’t believe it only has 13 reviews! There are no cons.

### 5/5 — It’s a good app.

*2025-07-16, version 1.6.4*

:D

### 5/5 — The Best App for Journaling, NO OTHER APP COMPARES TO IT

*2025-04-01, version 1.6.2*

I have researched intensively and I just want to say that please don’t abandon this app. This is such a good app that it made me almost cry when I started to use it. I have been searching for an app that allows me to use audio for journaling AND can convert my speech into words with a great user interface and has mood scaling. The app also holds you accountable so you can actually just rant and rant and when you are feeling better, you don’t just go and censor how you feel because you’re scared that someone might find out. It even has protections for you to avoid that from happening. One suggestion (preferred but not mandatory): it would be nice to be able to have like an AI short summary of what I am ranting about with a generalized headline of it and then it can sort my notes by topic/category so if I’m ranting about school, it can sort my notes by that and if my rant has more than one topic, it can sort my notes by tags as well so a note can be under multiple topics depending on the rant. It helps to see what topic do I rant the most about and to see if my mood changes over time on that topic. Thank you for your dedication and works into creating this app. I will keep this app forever and I will be donating :).

## Most praised reviews (6 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great app

*2025-03-17, version 1.6.2*

Such a simple and great app to track your mood and journal.

### 5/5 — No ads, moderation, and has a clean set up!

*2025-01-15, version 1.6.2*

They don’t read your logs, have any ads, and the layout of the app is fresh and simple. It’s very well organized, and they give you a weekly summary of your behavior along with mental health resources. I would strongly recommend this app!! <3

### 5/5 — The best mood tracker.

*2024-10-25, version 1.6.1*

Simple intuitive. It’s starting to get bugs so it’s needs a higher profile.

### 5/5 — Fantastic app, insightful and easy to use

*2024-06-09, version 1.3.3*

I don’t usually review but this app has been hugely helpful. The idea of the “baseline” score is genius. Being able to track my baseline over days/weeks, and also track levels of low mood / anxiety / stress from the weekly review has really transformed my wellbeing. I find I’m able to find patterns in how I’m feeling and what’s contributing to my mental health. I would recommend this app to anyone who is proactively working on their mental wellbeing and wants a simple yet insightful way to track their mood day-to-day and week-to-week. Thanks to the developers! Really wonderful app

### 5/5 — Amazing app! My favorite free Journal

*2024-05-18, version 1.3.3*

Don't get me wrong; there are some other awewome journal apps. I love this one the most because of how simple it is. Options are great, but some of us just want to rate our mood, track it, and journal. It has a great prompt that the others lack too in asking for more than just a few words.

### 5/5 — Best App

*2024-04-26*

Hope this app continues to get support because it’s the cleanest to use
