They are some of my favorites easily on the same tier as Rusty Lake and Forgotten Hill (which are two of my gold standards). Like all Hotel Orpheus games, the narrative is part of the fun, so while Part 2 can be played as a standalone, it will make more sense if you play Part 1 first. Also: you need to interact with the NPCs! The dialogue is funny with a disturbing undercurrent. Tl;dr I loved it.
