BasementSketch turns the idea in your head into a complete basement plan: draw it, see it in 3D, and walk away with the materials list, the prices and the order of the work. WHAT PEOPLE PLAN WITH IT • A full basement finishing job: framing, insulation, drywall and flooring, room by room. • A basement bathroom, a bedroom with a compliant egress window, a laundry room or the mechanical room. • A rec room, a home theatre, a home gym, a home office or a man cave. • A basement apartment or in-law suite, with its own layout and its own fixtures. • A real number before you call anyone: what the basement remodel costs in materials, and what you save doing it yourself. It works like a floor plan app and a materials calculator at the same time. You draw the floor plan; the square footage, the stud count, the drywall sheets, the wire and pipe runs and the cost all come out of the drawing. No spreadsheet, no guessing at quantities. DRAW YOUR BASEMENT • Drop in your rooms and drag the walls: foundation walls and partitions are worked out automatically from the geometry. • Sketch freehand with angle snapping (H/V/45°), corner snapping and exact distance entry. • Add doors and windows in standard sizes, stairs, posts and beams, a closet, a mechanical room, water heater, electrical panel, outlets, switches, lights, smoke detectors, toilet, sink, shower, bathtub. • Import a photo of your basement, set its real width and trace your walls right over it. • Undo/redo on every gesture, named plans, automatic saving. SEE IT IN 3D • The plan becomes a volume: orbit around it, zoom in. • Switch between Finished drywall and Framing to see studs, plates, headers and jack studs inside the wall. • Fixtures and the water heater have recognizable shapes. WHAT PREMIUM ADDS • Materials list and quantities calculated from YOUR plan. • Prices by store, comparison, sales tax and labor: full project cost against what you save going DIY. • Wiring and plumbing drawn on the plan, circuits grouped automatically, real lengths. • Wall elevations with the actual framing. • Simplified code checks (building and electrical): outlets, smoke detector, bedroom egress window, drain slope, overloaded circuits. • Build phases in 9 checkable steps, with just-in-time purchases and inspection points. • Full PDF package: dimensioned plan, elevations, circuits, plumbing, code check, materials — the document to attach to a permit application or send out for quotes. • Unlimited plans and a backup file. 2D drawing and the 3D view stay free.
