## What is Basketball ShotBot?

Introducing ShotBot, the easy-to-use app that tracks your basketball shooting progress. ShotBot combines artificial intelligence and computer vision technology with the camera in your smart phone or tablet to gather and store useful data about your basketball shooting sessions. Simply set your phone down on the side of the court and start the app to begin tracking your progress. Each shot you take is converted into a single image that captures it all: your release form, your launch angle and speed, the path of the ball, the result (make or miss), the shot location, and other useful stats. Past sessions are reviewable at any time. A graph of your session history shows how your past sessions compare to your current one. You can even load an old shooting video into ShotBot and it will analyze it as if it is live. Have a session or shot you are proud of? ShotBot has a built-in share function that lets you easily share with your friends or coach. Designed with convenience in mind, ShotBot stores your data in the cloud, so you won't lose it if you get a new phone or accidentally delete the app. It also lets you sync your data across multiple devices, so you can record a session with your phone and review it later at home on your larger-screened iPad.

Great app! This app keeps track of your shots, how many you made, and how many you missed. Tells you how high you shoot it and how far. The one thing I wish it did was give me recommendations on my shots, and actually how to get better. Other than that it’s great.

This is a very good app, but I made six shots in a row and the app counted it as all misses. My device was in a position where you can tell if the ball went in or not.

**Developer response:** Hi there. Thanks for using ShotBot. We are sorry to hear that the make/miss detection isn't working for your session. Here are some suggestions that may help. Make sure you have a net in decent condition attached to your rim. Without a net, make/miss detection will not work well. Make sure the rim and net are in the little white rectangle on the screen. If not, move the camera a slight amount, and the AI should adjust the rectangle to fit properly. Make sure you have proper lighting for your session. If it is too dark, it is harder for ShotBot to find the rim and net. The latest version of ShotBot has a button on the bottom that allows you to change any miss to a make and vice versa. This will help train our AI and improve it for later releases. Please feel free to email us at support@shotbot.ai if you are still having trouble. We are happy to help! Great app, keeps track of your shot accuracy and more. Also fun when you get to see how many shots you made and how you made it. It’s cool to see your jump shot to when you shoot and tracks the location.

I downloaded this app because I needed some way to record my progress in basketball. I found ShotBot, and since it’s free, I figured, “why not try it out?” But as soon as I downloaded the app, I was shocked. First off, the process to sign up and create an account was easy and went along smoothly. When I tried it out and started shooting, it tracked my shots, how many I took, and if it went in or not. I will continue using, and I definitely say you should download this app! I’m so happy it’s free, and I would 100% recommend to anyone interested.

it just takes screen shots of your shot there is not video of my whole session

**Developer response:** Hello. You are correct. The current version of the app will try to capture each shot as a single image, displaying your release form and the trajectory of the ball. We do have plans to add video support in the near future. In the meantime, you could capture a video of your shooting session using the camera app, and then open the video in the ShotBot app (using the folder icon on the bottom-left), and it will track your shots as if it was live.
