Leider funktioniert die Freundesliste bei mir nicht, was wirklich sehr enttäuschend ist. I hate the pivot they’re taking towards AI so I’ll be looking for an alternative. Also if you dont get the in app purchases you’re not gonna be able to log your reading sessions faithfully because the app limits the amount of sessions you can do over a certain amount of time so be warned. ### 3/5 — It could be better, but it works. *2026-01-06, version 2.8.57* I used to love basmo. I really liked all the categories you could put the books in, but something is missing. I cannot put something into already read and to be read. I know it sounds silly, but I want a tbr list for the books I have audiobooked and now want to physically read. It also does not have a section on the book itself to identify whether it’s an ebook, audiobook, hardcover, or softcover. I do not have premium, so I have not seen the full extent of the app, but there is also no second read feature or the option to bypass the start date. ### 3/5 — Basmo response team lacking *2025-12-31, version 2.8.57* I’ve been using this app for almost 4 years now to track my books. I love it. But now I’m trying to share and track my books with others and I can’t seem to add friends to my app, and I’ve messaged the Basmo team with no response or assistance. Disappointing. I like being able to see how long it predicts it will take to finish the book. The only issue is, I’ve gone into the app and instead of the button saying ‘start new session’, it’s saying ‘resume session’. I’ve gone on and ended the session but it keeps saying ‘resume session’ and it’s still timing you. This has happened 3 or 4 times now. I have to delete the app, reinstall it, and log back in, but sometimes it doesn’t save all the books I’ve read so it loses all the data from those books. ### 4/5 — le partage amis ne fonctionne pas *2025-02-21* J’adore l’appli mais je risque d’en utiliser une autres car la fonction partager avec des amis ne fonctionne pas et c’est relou. Two issues I have is that many times the covers to books will “white out” or they won’t load. I’m not sure why that occurs and I can get past that but it be nice if that didn’t happen. The bigger issue (or at least I don’t know how) is the book log will not let you document or track the same book more than once. When I try to add it to the “finished” list it does nothing if I’ve read it before. I like the stats and the option to add notes and quotes. I also like the reminders and options for scheduling my next reading session. It's an encouraging reading app, and now the monthly subscription is a reasonable price I'm happy to subscribe. I see it hasn't been updated for a year. I hope Basmo is still on active development. ### 3/5 — Kindle Highlight Sync Not Working *2024-05-30, version 2.8.57* I really wanted to love this app, but my Kindle highlights will NOT transfer over. I’ve linked and unlinked my account but still nothing. It would be nice if my progress reading in Kindle transferred too. The main reason I got the app was to keep track of highlights and refer back to them easily. The fact that this feature doesn’t work is a huge issue. And no updates for a year? I think it’s simple, and not too busy like a lot of other reading tracking apps I’ve tried out. I would love if Basmo added a questionnaire where us readers can answer questions to get more book recommendations. The app StoryGraph has that option, and I think Basmo would benefit from adding something similar to it. I don’t use StoryGraph because I find it stressful to use. It helps me keep track of books I own so I don’t accidentally purchase it again which I’ve done multiple times in the past. It would be great if I click on a book and it shows me the collections I already have it in. Otherwise, I have to check all of my many collections to see if I already own it. Or maybe if there was a default list of “Owned” since it asks you if you own the book. I also like that you can save notes, customize book covers and track reading time. It encourages me to read more. I just wish that we could start a second read of a book without deleting the records of the first read. I almost subscribed when I learned that there is no way to start a second read. When you edit a session there is a section that’s titled first read so you would assume we can also start a second read but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Anyway, awesome app but it’s just missing one key feature for me. When she pressed it, it sent her to the App Store and didn’t get to add me. I would love to track our reading together but can’t with this bug!! Тут есть все: поиск по абсолютно всем книгам, которые есть в интернете, ручной ввод для тех книг, которые не может найти поисковик (ни разу с таким не сталкивался). Тут есть отслеживание целей, напоминания (которые вы сами ставите на время, которое вам удобно), возможность пообщаться с книгой в виде chatgpt и многое другое… Словом, тут есть все, что душе угодно. Короче – маст хев. Два минуса, которые могут немного испортить впечатления от использования: 1) Цена за годовую подписку – 2990 руб. Несмотря на то, что в месяц выходит немного, единоразово может быть больно. И может даже показаться, что много за «обычный трекер», но в Basmo напихано столько полезного, что его ценность понимаешь со временем. 2) Мертвая (или полумертвая) тех.поддержка. Обратился через приложения к ним в поддержку – нет ни ответа, ни фоллоуапа с номером обращения. Сам уже разобрался в вопросе.
