### 1/5 — Bass By Ear

I’be been playing bass for 3 years. This app is not interactive. The app plays a note within a scale and doesn’t confirm or hear what note you are playing on your bass to try and match what was played. It just moves on to playing another note within the scale. Little to no instruction on how the app works.

**Developer response:** Hello. The way to use this app is that you press the ‘Play’ button and repeat what you hear. The 1 is always the root hence the note that is written at the leftmost button. You start from a lower level and gradually develop the ear for every note on the fretboard and the relations between them. This is quite simple but very effective, video lessons are provided in the ‘?’ Help section to get overall understanding of the instrument if you are a complete beginner.

I’be been playing bass guitar for 1 year and was looking for help learning to play by ear rather than reading tabs. This App is not interactive and doesn’t have clear instructions on how to use.

Update: The app now confirms when you play the right note by having the interval number light up green. Very useful for ear training.
