However, most piano methods teach the bass clef starting at the top of the staff and working their way down. I’ve read treble clef notation since I was 9. By the time I hit the higher levels, I was definitely hitting the notes with ease. It is for sure a good teaching tool for learning to read music. It can be a little repetitive after a while, so it doesn’t get 5 stars for game value. If the developers maybe added a flash card function and a bit more variety with the games, this would be perfect. It would also be nice to hear the notes correspond to the melodies. But it’s still worth the money if one wants to learn how to read music on the bass clef. However, for $5 I really think it needs more content and different style of play. It’s fun when you’re doing well and easy to do over if you aren’t. ### 5/5 — Learning to read music *2025-08-06, version 2.0* Is Helping alongside another note naming to fretboard game and also with easy piano beginner digital sheet music. I find that taking a few moments to visualise the specific notes on the staff which the game will ask you to spot - before actually hitting start/ play - helps me massively. I also have a learn to read music book too which isn’t enough on its own but does help alongside this. Have done treble cat first and will do rhythm cat after this.
