### 2/5 — U have to pay to use the full version

*2020-05-06*

The only free features are the open strings.

### 3/5 — Needs optimization

*2016-03-08*

The A on the g string is way out of tune. Needs to be free!

### 4/5 — .

*2014-06-30, version 1.7.1*

I really like it.. It helps me out a lot 😝

### 1/5 — Hilfe!

*2013-07-09*

Wie soll man denn mit so einem totalen Unsinn Bass lernen?
Das soll mir der Entwickler bitte mal persönlich erklären...

### 1/5 — Colin

*2013-06-22, version 1.6.1*

Would not work for me. Deleted it.

### 1/5 — Try something else . . .

*2013-03-08, version 1.6.1*

It is not "free". You must purchase the add on apps to make this worth while.

### 4/5 — A good free lesson tool

*2013-02-27*

Hard to touch the open string buttons on iPod, but it's helping me to learn notes on the bar for "C". I'll get the upgrade when completed.

### 1/5 — stupid

*2013-02-18, version 1.6.1*

horrible only lets you play c chords other than that you have to buy it

### 1/5 — WORSE APP EVER!!!!!!!!!!!

*2013-02-09*

This by far was the worse app ever. Would not let me play notes. Would only respond by touching the very TOP of neck & would not let me use side to answer as it said it would. Stinks. I wouldn't waste your time on this app. They need to fix many things. Personally I wasted time on the app but wanted to take the time to let the viewers know this app is a zero in my book of scaling.

### 5/5 — It Works For Me!

*2013-02-02*

I was unsure what to expect after reading the mixed reviews; but when I tried the free version it turned out to be just what I had hoped for. I've played accompaniment / chords on guitar for many years, but have done very little with lead / melody. Transitioning to bass I need to get a firm grasp on identifying individual notes up the fretboard on all four strings. After trying the free exercises I saw the value (for me) in making two of the optional in-app purchases. Now I have lots of good, intelligent exercises to help me learn the basics.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — No response

*2025-08-29*

Issues with use on iPad.
Tried several times to get in touch with “support”. All emails came back “undeliverable”

Moving onto other apps

### 1/5 — Unsinnig

*2019-01-30*

Einfach ohne Sinn und Verstand...

### 1/5 — Most Expensive...beware!

*2016-02-17, version 1.7.2*

This free app has some fine features but will soon leave you hanging (frustrated) for a bit more...then be prepared to pay a lot for what you get ( $8 for scales + $8 for chords + + + on the list goes). There should be discounted prices once you pay the initial fee to encourage incremental purchases.
How it ever got a 4+ rating without considerable reviews is just deceptive.

### 1/5 — Don't bother

*2015-04-03, version 1.7.2*

Doesn't work. Deleted.

### 1/5 — Worst app

*2015-03-17, version 1.7.2*

One star because it's free

### 1/5 — Dumb

*2015-01-14, version 1.7.2*

I doesn't even work

### 1/5 — Crashes

*2015-01-02, version 1.7.2*

App just crashes each time I select play

### 1/5 — Nope

*2014-11-07, version 1.7.1*

Not a good app. Most features require a purchase and I would not purchase this for $0.01

### 1/5 — Junk

*2014-06-05, version 1.7.1*

This app is junk, garbage,basura.

### 1/5 — Broken on iPhone 5

*2014-04-17*

I'm guessing, or at least going that this program works on the developer's phone. On my iphone 5, it is only possible to touch the notes at the nut.

So, question 1 G on the E string - bam, impossible to answer because you can't hit something at fret 3 no matter how hard you try.

Otherwise the app looks interesting. The UI could use a bit more polish in some places, but it's functional.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Fret Board master

*2025-03-22*

This is a great app for mastering your memory of the fret board. This allows me to play all over the neck and make cool fills.

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2018-08-26, version 1.7.3*

It would be good if when I hold my phone in landscape mode that the notes on the fretboard would twist into that position also. Amazing app.

### 5/5 — very Good

*2017-06-22*

I wrote a bad review b/ c I didnt know how to use it. 🙄

### 5/5 — Buenísimo

*2016-09-23, version 1.7.3*

Me gusta mucho esta aplicación por q estás jugando y aprendiendo es muy fácil. Pronto seré un bajista. Dios les Bendiga a todos.

### 5/5 — Definitely recommend this app,but...

*2016-06-17*

I just downloaded this app for it's obvious purpose but and it works great, helps out a lot, and it's productive and a good time killer. But it would be cool to add a lefty mode for us hard-to-find lefty's lol.

### 5/5 — I have used this long enough now to review

*2015-08-03*

I see the other comments about this app crashing. I have had this for about 7 months and no issues. I did end up paying for the full version. Im sure there are free ways to learn what this app does but I believe this was worth every penny. Once you get used to it im sure you will enjoy it. Hopefully vustomer service is helpful. I have'nt had a reason to contact them which i thought was a good sign. I tried pther techniques to learn but i still ended up starting with a note i knew and counted my way up to the new note. This app teaches the relationship between the notes and at the same time teaches you to sight read and tone recognition. My recall is much faster. There is a method to the pattern they use to teach. If you stick with it you will have the notes down really fast and well on your way to sight reading. Also the intervals are learned as well. So again you are learning more then just one thing which would be a note name. I use only about 4 apps now pertaining to my learning. I downloaded everything that was available and this core 4 is all i need and this app is part of it. Sorry that i'm long winded

### 5/5 — Great Job!

*2014-10-13*

Thanks for this very helpful App. It is very easy to learn with!

### 5/5 — Beautiful learning app

*2013-10-18*

Anyone who wants to learn even when they don't have an internment in their hands, must have this app.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2013-08-07*

I do about 5 minutes of this every other night, and it's really increasing my playing abilities.

### 5/5 — Work it

*2013-02-24, version 1.6.1*

It's all you need.
