I've never uninstalled an app so fast. ### 1/5 — Lousy *2016-07-30* Thus app is a complete waste of time - no instructions on how to use it, pop up ads every few seconds, just plain hopeless. Avoid! ### 2/5 — You mean LEFTY Bass Guitar!? *2015-09-03, version 2.1.5* Surprisingly, this is exactly the sort of thing I was looking for when I downloaded this app. Not a tutorial, just a layout of a bass guitar neck so I could try out some scales and riffs. BUT... Is it MEANT to be LEFT-HANDED?!? It's as if the bass was strung backwards. A re-examination of the app's icon leads me to that conclusion. They might have SAID something. And in the "Learn Songs" mode it seems to work well enough. HOWEVER... the position markers are on the wrong frets (2-4-6 instead of 3-5-7 etc). It's very badly tuned BETWEEN G and G# on the top string (between E and F on the bottom). I read rumors of a "settings" menu (for transposing or righty/lefty?) but it seems to be covered by an obnoxious and obstinate banner ad along with all the others that pop up constantly. The "Play Bass" mode is even weirder. They reverse the strings(!) but it's still upside down. I can disable my phone's rotation, flip it, and tap only on the upper frets for righty playing, but then there's this horrible latency. I doubt that anyone at On Beat Ltd has ever played a bass guitar. I'm better off with a keyboard app. I'm TRYING to find a reason to like this app, but it's tough. ### 1/5 — Sound doesn't work *2015-08-08, version 2.1.5* Whenever I tried to play a song or anything it kept popping up and telling me my sound was off even though it wasn't so I could hear anything when I tried to play. ### 1/5 — Still no Audio *2015-03-13, version 2.1.1* No matter what I do as far as toggling mute on & off, using the lock switch in different modes, and reloading the app, there's absolutely no sound even though all my other apps work perfectly well. ### 1/5 — Don't get it *2015-02-09* Plane out horrible unless you only wanna hear the sound of your fingers tapping the screen and pretending that it actually works ### 1/5 — Shockingly bad *2015-01-24* Unresponsive, poor quality sound, quite clearly did not come from an actual bass guitar recorded in a studio. You HAVE to watch a 15 second video clip and you CAN'T skip it. You can only play the four open strings and they sound klangy and metally. Absolutely terrible sounding. If you want to play bass, I suggest getting a real one and not getting this app. ### 1/5 — Not worth downloading *2014-12-08, version 2.0.1* The app is fine if you want to just make annoying sounds. The bass is way out of tune and the frets don't work right. Can pluck 1st fret on E string and it plays the same fret on G. A & D are backwards on that fret also. The sounds are super fake. While it is bass tones, it's not tuned to sound like a real bass. Don't waste your time with this. ### 1/5 — BasE *2014-11-10* I downloaded this little app simply because it offered a lot more frets than eg. GarageBand and because it was free. The developer claimed it was professionally recorded studio quality bass. For starters the neck is left handed and the strings can't be plucked. You have to literally bang each string dead on to produce a flaccid thud that sounds more like a turd hitting the bowl than a bass string. 💩 ### 1/5 — Horrible. *2014-09-14, version 2.0.1* Can't even play long enough before LOUD video ads play over and over. Not all that good of a sound anyways. Deleted immediately.
