### 4/5 — Won’t open

*2026-08-06, version 1.4.3*

I have an iPad 6 and game wont open plz fix

### 2/5 — Anxiety inducing

*2026-05-25, version 1.3.6*

It’s a fun game, but there’s not nearly enough platforms to stop you and it’s super anxiety inducing. I keep hyperventilating every single time I play it.

### 3/5 — Difficult to be difficult

*2026-05-03, version 1.3.6*

There is a good balance that needs to be struck between punishment and difficulty. Bat to Bed is much too difficult for the sake of being difficult. Various objects and projectiles are crammed into each level, and each level is EXTREMELY long. I am a fan of games that are difficult that require a learning curve, but this is so difficult that it feels almost like a chore to complete. Most of the mechanics are really good, though, and the art style and aesthetics are well made. I think the game would be better if the levels were at least half the length that they are, but still just as punishing.

### 5/5 — The game version of HELL

*2026-04-02, version 1.3.6*

I finally beat it after 3hours 2 mins on the 3rd and final stage of the game. First level is fairly difficult but fun, second level is horrifically hard compared to 1st level and the 3rd level is why I gave the the title of this review. Overall great game except my phone has a massive crack in it now due to throwing it at a wall.

### 5/5 — Really addicting

*2026-03-24, version 1.3.6*

I really love this game, I can’t stop playing and it’s super challenging

### 2/5 — Relies on gimmicks

*2026-03-16, version 1.3.6*

I played this game for over 5 hours (beat it btw) and really tried to like it but it seems to call itself difficult but relies on gimmicks and sometimes even rng to be “hard” 4/10 would not play again.

### 5/5 — Aura and Hype

*2026-03-16, version 1.3.6*

This game is hard, and that's the point. However, you are well equipped to deal with the difficulty, as the rules are consistent, and the art style serves clarity as to what your threats and challenges are.
Definitely worth spending a few bucks to remove ads!

### 5/5 — Very fun!!

*2026-03-16, version 1.3.6*

As long as you're ok with long falls and redo's, this game is excellent! The music is also nice, which is a very rare findin mobile games nowadays. Great game!

### 5/5 — :(

*2026-03-07, version 1.3.6*

This game jst sucks

### 5/5 — This is the highest quality free game on the AppStore…

*2026-02-23, version 1.3.6*

But I hate it with my life. This is like the Dark Souls of platformer mobile games, so expect a pretty bad time. Personally I’m still stuck on the race in the forest area (2nd level btw).

### 5/5 — fun challenging platformer

*2026-02-22, version 1.3.6*

nice story. platforming is fun and challenging. i like its not just levels but there is a story. the first level isnt that bad because there are quite a few places where if u fall u wont go all the way back down most of the time (unless ur unlucky). reccomend!

### 5/5 — The Road less Traveled

*2026-02-16, version 1.3.6*

While this game would see many of its players boil in frustration and rage, it sees a select few with the patience and determination necessary to see it through. As one of those players it has left me with an extreme sense of achievement! Play on its worth it!

### 2/5 — Challenging does not equal fun

*2026-02-15, version 1.3.6*

The game is $3 to remove the ads, which are quite a nuisance. Which I paid, so there’s that.

I got to stage three and I’m probably going to delete the app. It’s very hard. The game demands precise movement and you have flappy bird controls. Getting hit puts you into a free fall that doesn’t end until you land on a flat area. I’d like it if I was able to do anything during the fall instead of just watching myself lose progress for 10 seconds. After beating a stage you get “rewarded” with a skin. I thought I’d be able to use the frog staff or something. Beating a section doesn’t feel good enough to offset the frustration from getting launched into a random cannonball only to fall to the beginning of a stage. The game seems to be still in development, so maybe I’ll wait until it gets updated. The game has one button, but I’d like it if the devs veered from flappy bird and gave the players more depth.

### 5/5 — So good

*2026-02-13, version 1.3.6*

So addicting- the sound design is amazing and I love how simple it is. I get the people complaining abt it being too hard, but thats kind of the point of the game. There’s plenty of other easy games out there to play. I will say there’s a small ad banner at the bottom thats a little distracting, but it’s a free game so it’s obviously not that big of a deal. I’ve only gotten through the first level (it took me 3 hours…) but loving it so far. A lot more story than I thought there would be as well. It just generally seems like a very well done and thought out game.

### 5/5 — Pain

*2026-02-10, version 1.3.6*

This is an incredible game but as I am not typically a mobile player I… have a skill issue I will continue trying to git gud but the 1st level took me 2 dang hours so get this game if you have time to spare and want to suffer but if you do not have patience I recommend you try a different game

### 3/5 — Mid

*2026-02-09, version 1.3.6*

I have been playing the first level for over an hour and I still have no idea how close I am to beating it.

### 2/5 — Game would be fun if I could actually experience it

*2026-02-08, version 1.3.6*

I have spent DOUBLE the time on just the race than before the race + the first level COMBINED. Nerf the race

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — You will find better things to do with your 1 human life

*2026-04-21, version 1.3.6*

Harder than any dark souls and significantly less rewarding.
The main problem being the levels are often unlearnable as the sheer volume of moving hazards makes runs feel random as to wether you have the openings when you need them, and static hazards below often make attempting to wait for optimal timings near impossible.
Add to this the random falling distance penalty and this is the most annoying game ever

### 1/5 — I’d rather end it

*2026-04-05, version 1.3.6*

do not play this game unless you truly hate yourself. Sure on the surface it looks fun, until u lose 30 mins of progress in one fall. I’ve never left a review on anything but this enraged me so much i had to. hope this helps.

### 1/5 — Banner ads ruining the game

*2026-03-30, version 1.3.6*

I saw another review talking about the banner ads as well and was horribly disappointed when I saw the developer response to that review. Instead of removing their intrusive ads that make the game less enjoyable for everyone who doesn’t want to pay for the game, they decide to further this filthy idea that somehow it is actually fine that they are cramming banner ads down your throat while you are already forced to watch 2 minutes of ads every 5 minutes you play the game. This is gross. When I originally saw this game online I wanted to support it because I love indie game devs. But this game is beginning to feel like every other awful mobile game that just juices every single user for every last drop of ad money they can possibly get. I would be willing to get over this if the developers weren’t trying to shamelessly defend themselves with the idea that the banner ads being intrusive is actually an outlandish opinion and a complete outlier. Because everyone loves ads!

I have made a few games myself so I know that it takes a lot of time to make them. So why, after all the work you put into this would you throw all of that in the garbage just for a bit of extra ad money? The ads that you have every couple minutes make sense, you have to turn a profit somehow. But the banner ads that are constantly in your face as you are playing just ruin the entire game and make players want to support your game less.

### 1/5 — Bad game design, the dev definitely needs a course or two on design

*2026-02-03, version 1.3.6*

This isn’t a game; it’s a middle-finger to anyone with a functioning brain. The developers clearly confused ‘chaotic difficulty’ with ‘absolute lack of agency.’ You can spend hours perfecting your movement and learning the mechanics, but none of it matters when the game decides to end your run with a random fireball shooter that for the most part shoots purely random.

I mean the game is fun (or so it could have) if they numbed down the number of luck based parts. I feel like the devs don’t know how to make a hard game so most of their ‘difficult’ parts are just chaotic or luck. Nothing that says “you need skill to win”. Any way hope your next game is better

### 1/5 — Trash tbh

*2026-01-26, version 1.3.6*

Mostly just a skill issue but I wouldn’t recommend if you don’t want to play the same slop game play loop of falling losing all your progress and not learn anything. The game is mid at best. Edit: I will probably go on and off when playing this trash. Good premise bad execution, the game makes you rage which is good but doesn’t make you want to keep playing. The game is new so it will hopefully get better.

### 1/5 — Most unforgiving game.

*2026-01-25, version 1.3.6*

This game, to put it simply, is way too unforgiving for the parts that are in this game. I’m stuck on the last part of the 2nd level of the entire game, and the lack of mini checkpoints, or even ledges in that part is just absurd. You try to race a ghost looking mimic of you. You race him, and once you start, your only checkpoint is the VERY beginning of the level. In each level, there are either no ledges, or ledges you couldn’t get onto, and the fact it’s timed is just absurd. The very final part of it forces you to go through over 30 different obstacles, while keep in mind, have 0 checkpoints with bouncing off the walls as your source of movement. I’ve seen your videos, and you saying “we know, but the whole point of it is for it to be difficult!”. No, an example of an actual forgiving game is hollow knight path of pain. All of it needs skill, and it feels like it’s your fault when you die, AND there are checkpoints. This game feels like Getting over It with the more unforgiving falls. Please add more ledges, and I don’t wanna hear and BS excuse.

### 1/5 — Not worth it

*2026-01-24, version 1.3.6*

Played all day and cloudy progress at all in level 2. I hate everything and nothing in this game is cohesive. The communication is bad. And I found at least like 10 bugs after a few minutes of playing.

### 1/5 — 3:<

*2026-01-18, version 1.3.2*

Makes me angrier than a toddler having their ipad taken away, and why does the first level have to be so hard? Not to mention having to turn my wifi off so I don’t get flashbanged.

### 1/5 — Game is challenging but sometimes straight up unfair

*2026-01-15, version 1.3.2*

The game is very fun and the art style is cool, but I can’t help but feel like sometimes failing is not my fault. The enemy hitboxes are sometimes larger than expected, and the way they suddenly snap when changing directions is annoying. Additionally, sometimes I fall somewhere where it’s extremely difficult to save myself, almost impossible to avoid falling even further down. I like how challenging the game is, but building up experience and skill is difficult when you have to redo the things you’ve already done millions of times to attempt a tough part again. The main thing I dislike though is still the sudden enemy movements. I get that their paths are showed, but it still feels like their movements should be smoother. It seems like you only respond to very low rated reviews, so I gave this a 1 star. I’d be glad to remove my review when you respond though ! With the current issues I would give it a 3 star. Without them it’s a perfect 5.

### 1/5 — Horrible game

*2026-01-11, version 1.3.2*

Zero level designing skills, game also lacks fun mechanics and isn’t rewarding at all. (Before anyone says I have a skill issue I’ve beaten the game twice)

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Simple Concept, Great Game

*2026-08-28, version 1.4.3*

Great game concept, not for everyone because of difficulty. Rated lower than it should be because of people who aren’t good enough at the game. If you’re struggling slow down until you get good enough to go faster.

### 5/5 — Best Offline Game

*2026-08-20, version 1.4.3*

This genuinely is the best offline game I have ever played. The levels are challenging and get progressively harder which is amazing. When playing online, the ads are reasonable and infrequent. I have spent hours on this game just on 4 levels (I beat them all!) and loved all of it. I’m so excited for the fifth to release. The game may not be for everyone as it is difficult and definitely can make you rage.

### 5/5 — Bat to Bed review

*2026-08-02, version 1.4.2*

The game is AMAZING, I love the game, the title is creative, the concept is great! Level one could be a bit easier though, took me a week and a half to get past. Other than that, amazing game, it’s free, and once you start playing you will stay for hours.

### 5/5 — Good game

*2026-08-01, version 1.4.2*

Non invasive ads, that don’t play often. With actually fun game play. So peak.

### 5/5 — I absolutely hate this game with all my heart 💔😡😤

*2026-08-01, version 1.4.2*

buuuuuutttt it’s very well made and the physics and pixel art are very well done and great work on it 👍🏼 it’s actually awesome

### 5/5 — 🔥🔥🔥

*2026-07-06, version 1.3.6*

Perfect balance of difficulty without being annoying, the way that you learn levels make it so that you can fall really far and end up getting back to where you were really quickly. diamond on ghost coast drove me crazy tho

### 5/5 — Great game

*2026-06-03, version 1.3.6*

I very much enjoy this game. It is so easy to play it to pass time. I use during every phone call because I cannot focus without doing something and this game lets me talk for up to an hour. I have %100 completed it and I just like the mechanics so much I play it at least once a day.

### 5/5 — Super fun

*2026-05-27, version 1.3.6*

I think this game is the perfect mix of challenging and fun and would 100% recommend

### 5/5 — 😡😡😡😡

*2026-05-02, version 1.3.6*

Frustrating as hell but fun

### 5/5 — Bat fun

*2026-04-25, version 1.3.6*
