About
Baton plays the music you host yourself. Point it at Navidrome, or any server that speaks the Subsonic API, and your whole library is on your phone: albums, artists, genres, playlists, search, downloads for offline listening, gapless playback, and a ten-band equalizer.
No server yet? Try it anyway. The app connects to Navidrome's public demo server in one tap, and a built-in demo library plays entirely offline.
YOUR LIBRARY
- Albums, artists, genres, folders and playlists
- Search with a memory for where you went
- Downloads for offline listening
- Likes, ratings and play history that stay with your server
PLAYBACK
- Gapless playback and crossfade
- Ten-band equalizer with presets
- Lock screen controls, and AirPlay through the system player
- Sleep timer, and continue-where-you-left-off between devices
BEYOND THE LIBRARY
- Podcasts, subscribed on the server or by RSS on the phone
- Internet radio stations, synced from your server
- Lyrics, with scroll-along timing where your files carry it
- Scrobbling to ListenBrainz and Last.fm, off until you connect an account
- A music friend you can chat with, powered by a model host you configure
MADE FOR SELF-HOSTERS
- Works with Navidrome and other Subsonic-compatible servers
- Pair with the Mac app by scanning a code; settings can follow you through your own gateway
- No accounts, no analytics, no tracking. The privacy policy fits on one page
- Open source under the MIT license. Buying the App Store build funds development
Baton needs a Navidrome or Subsonic-compatible server for your own music; the demo modes work without one.
