### 3/5 — A great game ruined by monetization

*2021-04-29, version 1.18.1*

As I type this, there are over 30 unique bundles in the game store. The content of this game is so heavily buried behind paywalls that it is funny! Don’t worry, there is also a “season pass” and a slew of loot boxes to feel frustration over.

This game is worth a month of your time because if it weren’t so broken by predatory monetization it would be one of the most fun games of this type I’ve ever played. Just understand that you will be spending thousands on pay to play mechanics or years of grinding.

It’s rare that I play a game that is so opposed to you actually playing it without 5 bucks of gems for energy refills. If the game weren’t so intense on IAP, it would be an excellent title.

### 3/5 — It’s an enjoyable game, but “balance” patches kill your progress.

*2021-03-25, version 1.17.1*

I enjoy this game, it’s a lot of fun to play for 2-3 minutes at a time. I’ve played almost everyday for the past 6 or so months. I specifically worked hard on leveling up and upgrading a specific character because they were strong and had a good ability. They have had at least 3 individual patches nerf this character. I wouldn’t have put in the time and effort to use this character if I knew this is where this character would end up. Really disappointing. There are so many other ways to balance than just nerfing a character and wasting my effort.
They already have one enemy type that is a hard counter to this character, but that’s not enough. Probably play for a few more months but I’m just about done.

### 4/5 — Amazing!

*2021-03-17, version 1.16.1*

I got this game today! Everything is fantastic even the story! One thing I might suggest is adding a even bigger rewarding chest to work towards... I have gotten 150 gems 16 times in the past two hours and I have not gotten anything rare out of the tower chest... please make something very rewarding and hard to work for!

### 2/5 — Was fun until!

*2021-02-27, version 1.16.0*

Have been playing for a few months now and it is fun and addictive. They released an update 4 days ago and I haven’t been able to log on since. It says I need to be connected to WiFi. Funny thing is the game plays fine when I’m not on WiFi. Unfortunately I deleted the app to try and restore the game and all my progress is gone! Money spent and everything. I’ve tried both email addresses I use to log back in and neither work! Oh well! Fun while it lasted!

### 3/5 — Decent

*2020-12-29, version 1.13.0*

The game itself is well done, but it runs out of steam rather quickly. Energy takes loads of time to recover and the levels just start jumping rather fast in difficulty even when one has higher starred characters. Overall it's a great game! Not very intrusive with ads, strategy comes into play, but at the end of the day it was just slightly too repetitive for my taste.

### 4/5 — Fun! But delete after 30 days

*2020-12-08, version 1.13.0*

The cool things this game offers up will keep you hooked for a while. But once the game slows to a near dead stop about a month in your time in it quickly shifts to 10 minutes or so a day to buy all the items in the store for runes, 15 seconds to auto battle all energy away, 1 minute of watching ads required to collect daily quests, yuck. I’m tempted to rate this fewer stars but I genuinely enjoyed the first 30 days playing this.

Pluses: RPG Elements, Diverse set of characters to create a team, Fun and graphic skills that are essential to plan, unique enemies that force strategizing.

Cons: progression mid-game (30 ish days in) is nearly non existent, the energy scaling and replenishment means you’re really only doing some auto battles twice a day for 5 ish minutes each. Runes required to power up units are stupid high, ie 1 days worth of energy can be used to acquire ~10 required runes, but you need ~700+ (one month in). Alternative is buying everything in the store whenever it refreshes but that quickly becomes 95% of how you spend your time when you open the app. After buying some 50 chests of hero shards with saved up diamonds earned in-game (and some purchased), I’ve come to the conclusion they are worthless, shards acquired opening 10x vs shards needed of your lineup is a dumpster fire. Your best heroes will come from the store where you can reliably buy shards with in game currency.

### 3/5 — Great but broken

*2020-11-26, version 1.13.0*

Game is really fun, plenty to do and can easily be truly free to play (although spending $2 for unlimited free auto plays is well worth it) but the game crashes too much, especially after the last update. The developer doesn’t respond to tickets either. Just play it for a few days, and don’t spend more than the $2 until they fix the crashes!

### 3/5 — The app is amazing but there is a problems

*2020-11-21, version 1.12.1*

1) Not a lot of people play this app at this moment and there are a lot of people even myself who made a new clan I seen a lot of new clans with just 1 person in it.

And many players are putting mine lvl score 1000( = 3 stars per stage= u need to do min 333.3 stages~ 333 stages to join the clan.( so I had to create my self cuz of that issue but as for my guild( I put min 10 to join I need memebers to help me out in the clan as a team but others are just want to have only strong player when max I saw was 286 stars and has a requirement of 1000 stars to join it’s just ridiculous! How boring the other players made this game.

It’s like the picture is were are all solo ( except me of course I put requirement of 10 stars to join.)

2) Also please make a ( infinite (time stone for free please!) I don’t have 2$ to get the infinite time stones... I’m broke at this moment so I’m stuck I need auto stages please!... thanks for understanding and that 2 things that lost you guys 2 stars! Please fix it ASAP. <3

### 4/5 — Fun at first

*2020-11-15, version 1.12.1*

I was really enjoying this game at first. A little challenging but interesting. I hit stage 4 and can’t beat the last guy. Been spending a bit of time just redoing levels and other things to try to improve my team, I don’t mind I guess but it’s taking quite awhile and I feel my fun slowly draining out of me. It’s a good game.. just ugh lol

### 2/5 — Great game wasted by impossible difficulty

*2020-10-15, version 1.11.2*

TLDR; great game for a few days then delete the game as soon as you feel you need to use cash to have fun again.

After the first few days of fun, you’ll start realizing that the difficulty is increasing faster than you can level up and you’ll be left browsing around the menu in the quest of leveling up your characters.

Despite significantly improving my characters, I have been stuck for 4 days on the same levels (normal & hero) and see no end in sight.

Or, clearly, i could put $25 in a character that may or may not unblock me but that’s not going to happen. For $25, I can get a full-fledge game that isn’t built around taking out my wallet the moment I start being frustrated. Now, that I’ve come to realize this I’ve lowered my score as this pattern takes the fun out of games.

Other things to note:
- too many in-game currencies
- clan system is useless in its current state

### 2/5 — “Privacy”

*2020-09-20, version 1.10.1*

I was immediately put off by the privacy. Don’t get games that sell info to third parties if you’re not okay with it, but if you are then you do you. Just be mindful of whatever you sign. I didn't play the game so that’s why it’s not one star but from another review I saw it seems that it’s pretty bad with the whole energy system every mobile game seems to have. Shame too, seems the gameplay might be good but if I can’t play it half the time and my personal info is being collected and sold then I don’t really want to bother with it.

### 4/5 — Freezes after advertisements way to often

*2020-08-28, version 1.9.0*

Bouncing challenges with heroes killing monsters is fun, and the game has lots of potential in sucking up my time, not sure about money yet. And that’s mainly because it’s still buggy, and after watching the ads that are supposed to give you rewards, it will often crash instead. So I watched an add for nothing!

### 4/5 — Fun with a few problems

*2020-08-20, version 1.9.0*

This game is great, it has a good level up system that takes a while but makes you cheer when you finally reach that personal checkpoint. Now I have 2 problems with the game. 1 is the clans, there doesn’t really seem like there’s anything to do besides trading. And 2 when I’m in tournament mode the game will randomly quit off.

### 5/5 — Very fun game with 1 problem

*2020-08-20, version 1.9.0*

The game is great, the progression is not too grindy compared to other games. The only problem I have is with the energy recharge, it’s far too slow and I find myself having to wait hours and hours just to have enough to try a few stages over again. I urge the developers to either lower the time it takes to recharge energy or make the energy cost per stage lower once you’ve beaten a stage. I just want to play this game more!!

### 5/5 — Very enjoyable

*2020-08-16, version 1.9.0*

I’ve only been playing for about an two hours but I really like the rpg element to it. The ball bounce is a classic with a fun fantasy twist to it. Hero’s can all be upgraded with enough time or you can pay to acquire faster. Would recommend to everyone to give it a try.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Starts out fun then HUGE paywall.

*2021-09-03, version 1.21.1*

Interesting spin on the breakout type of game. However the difficulty and progression are not at all balanced or appealing. There is potentially a ton of room for skill expression in a game like this but the game starts out impossible to lose and after just one day of playing, the “difficulty” ramp is replaced with MASSIVE hp sponges and one-shot kill-you enemies, and your only way through is to spend hundreds of hours grinding the same free-win levels over and over, or spend a TON of money. There’s no in-between. This is an example of how pay-to-win ruins game design. I’d rather pay for the “full version” of a single player game like this than for the entire experience to be held for RANSOM lol.

### 1/5 — Absolutely DO NOT spend money on this game!!!

*2021-03-23, version 1.17.0*

This game is fun but an absolute scam. A lot of people spend money on maxing out the best heroes only to find out later that the developers have rendered them useless through updates because they felt that they were over powered. I understand they need to make money but there are other fair ways to do it. It’s unfair to those who have spent money on these characters only to find out later that the abilities that were advertised are no longer available or have considerably been reduced. A complete rip off and false advertising. Why change something if the players like it and aren’t complaining.

### 1/5 — Again with the Battle Passes!

*2021-01-08, version 1.14.1*

I’m so tired of the battle pass gimmick. It is merely a way to leech more money from your players. You dangle something sparkly with shiny ribbons on it and sucker people into paying for stupid crap that makes it a pay to win. I’m deeply disappointed. I stopped playing Archero after they brought on this ridiculous battle pass gimmick and this game is now on thin ice because of it. You get your five stars back when you remove the battle pass. It’s a pointless feature for a game that already overcharges for its ‘packages’.

### 1/5 — Fun game but Misleading

*2020-12-23, version 1.13.0*

Overall really enjoy the game but ridiculous to me that you have to spend money to have a chance at any good in this game. Even when you earned enough diamonds for a chest that offers a higher level card you get the basic card even though it doesn’t show up for a reward for that chest. Also glitches a lot when it comes to daily rewards or donating to clan. Long story short you don’t get what they advertise. Last chest/ achievement/ login challenge said I get XP gold diamonds and keys to a chest for competing. It only gave me XP. Long story short keep you hopes down for anything good unless you pay and also don’t pay because unless your spending $20 to $50 you can’t get any good characters

### 1/5 — Terrible support and glitchy shop

*2020-08-08, version 1.9.0*

Nothing like a game where players report a bug, instead of fixibg it, they just removed the feature completely. Don't even bother

The shop is glitchy and the support only cares about his ego and is very argumentative: Felkin-GH. He admits theres a bug but refuse to admit the customer didn't receive the package they paid for. Even when evidence is being shown he still just wants to argue. If he's not a developer I don't know why he's being hired to do support.

The videos also doesn't always give you rewards. Overall a glitchy game. It's fun for a day but once you are stuck you are stuck there's no replayability

### 1/5 — Game is fun, developers break things and don’t respond to feedback

*2020-08-03, version 1.9.0*

I’ve invested a lot of time in this game. It’s a great daily time killer. But lately they have made changes to the tournament play that has made it so I can’t participate in tournaments. I can play the tournament games but then I receive to credit for playing. It behaves as if I didn’t play the tournament at all which is very frustrating. The developers ignore my feedback through the app so I’ve gone about a week without rewards from tournaments, which are pretty important at this stage. Please fix the issue!

### 1/5 — I like the game but

*2020-08-02, version 1.9.0*

The energy recharge is painfully slow, it charges like one or two energy are required per stage but hard stages require 28 why put a limit on how many I can do a day if the energy required is prohibitively expensive. Right now the straw that broke the camels back is that the ranked tournament is broken that’s the only way to slowly unlock the rarest heroes. It allows me to play but doesn’t save the score or hand out prizes anymore. Without something bigger to work towards it’s losing quite a bit of its charm, if the tournament isn’t fixed in the next few days I’ll uninstall as it is killing me that I’ve wasted my time in the game playing a tournament that does nothing. 20 minutes to get my best score ever and it doesn’t even do anything.

### 1/5 — Love the Gameplay hate the developers

*2020-06-17, version 1.6.1*

Game is polished amazingly well done fun gameplay. The energy recharge is ridiculous. So much so you can tell they made it purely as a money grind. After a overnight sleep you still don’t have full energy. If there was even a way that let me replay previous levels for no rewards that would be better and they could still get their money grubbing hands on all the desperate micro transactions they could ever want. It also became pay to win with the new tournaments since the upper tier epic hero’s can each be bought for 25 dollars instantly. So if you pay 50 dollars you have a much stronger team.

### 1/5 — Meh

*2020-04-07, version 1.2.0*

The game is very fun but it gets to a point where you're stuck because the levels are so unbelievably hard and you're not earning enough vials to move forward. Im not willing to spend real money to buy chests and clan members aren't that helpful either. Now with the update, you can only play each stage a certain number per day, what is up with that? And the tower reset? I was finally able to get those green scrolls and now i have to start over. We were given diamonds, but what does that matter if you can only play 4 levels per day?

### 2/5 — Bugs with heroes purchase

*2021-05-09, version 1.18.1*

Fun games with some annoying bugs such as when buying hero chests be sure to buy one at a time. If you buy 10 at the same time and receive more than one stack of hero cards, the game will only count as if you received only one stack. I bought 10 chests option and received 4 stacks of 10 cards for hero Bruin but the game only added 10 instead of 40 to Bruin’s cards total. How lame!!!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Fix crashes

*2022-01-17, version 1.21.4*

This game’s great until all of the sudden it’s too hard even after putting like 40-50 bucks in there. I’m mostly tired of watching the adds and the game crashing and I don’t get my rewards.

### 5/5 — Great Game!

*2021-10-07, version 1.21.4*

I have been playing this for over a year now and I am still going strong. I absolutely love this game! There is a lot of grinding, but it doesn’t take much time each day to do the dailies. I hope the devs don’t completely pull the plug in this because it truly is fantastic!

### 5/5 — Great game. Regular updates. Active Clan: 8yvv9

*2021-01-16, version 1.14.1*

This is an addicting wall-breaker game with RPG character building elements and attacks. Very easy to learn but it will take time to master. New characters as added with major updates. Game is constantly balanced for the enjoyment of players.

If you’re looking for a very active clan join 8yvv9

### 5/5 — Unexpected greatness.

*2021-01-07, version 1.14.0*

I dismissed this game for way too long. The mix of “bounce-shooter,” strategy, and RPG elements feels great.

I never felt that I had to pay for something, even with the “energy” system. When I bought the battle pass, I did so because I genuinely wanted the content, and wanted to support development.

### 5/5 — Great game!

*2020-12-02, version 1.13.0*

I started playing at the beginning of November. I love how the game isn’t based solely around transactions to get ahead. The amount of energy given out is also a bonus because a lot of games offer a small limit to it and it kills the gameplay.

### 5/5 — Ad Use

*2020-12-01, version 1.13.0*

This is a game that doesn’t force in-app purchases and ads on you. It’s a bubble bounce game mixed with rpg. It’s actually fun to play. It’s fun to level up and find gear for your characters so that you can get to the next harder level with harder enemies. It actually makes you want to watch ad videos.

### 5/5 — Update idea

*2020-11-24, version 1.13.0*

Need to have a BUY ALL button on the gold tab of the shop instead of making you click twice on each and every item. One click and you buy the entire page!

### 5/5 — Great game without making me feel like an ATM

*2020-10-13, version 1.11.2*

When you don’t have to drop $20/week to stay relevant? You know it’s a good game. I haven’t spent a dime in over a week and the game is still challenging and interesting and now I’m eyeballing some of the packs to actually buy because the game doesn’t make me feel like I have to be Mr. Moneybags to enjoy it!

### 5/5 — Not my kind of game, but then again!

*2020-09-30, version 1.11.0*

I honestly thought this was a different game, and nearly deleted it before trying it. I saw the commercial during another game and it has a similar title to a game I knew I would like so I downloaded it. I have hated wall games all the way back to when it was very likely the only electronic game you could own. I’m talking pre Atari, the true Stone Age of games. I’m sure I liked it when I first got it but when it’s the only game in town and then the Atari came out I began to hate it the same way I hated hair metal. I loved it at one time but now it’s embarrassing. The depth of this game, the affect characters have, the interesting levels all surprised me. I may start looking for other games I’ve excluded as result of this game and hopefully I can conquer my traumatic gaming past. I’m obviously exaggerating traumatic and considering actual trauma faced everyday I needed to point that out so I didn’t feel like a dick for putting that in. Great game even if you hate wall bouncers.

### 5/5 — My new go to phone game

*2020-08-21, version 1.9.0*

Had it for about a month and find myself playing it multiple times per day. Love this style of game. I do wish energy would replenish faster or the cost would come down because to really get far you new to reply a ton of battles to find the crafting items you need. Hopefully the devs can figure this out quick because I am very engaged in it and don’t want to lose interest.
