It’s fun, it passes time, etc. but now I’m too a certain point where it almost seems impossible to beat. I have been stuck over a week. I meet all the “requirements” yet I’m getting two shot. I’m not spending money to get past this point. But that’s what I assume they expect you to do, just give up and pay. ### 4/5 — A good game but... *2019-08-09, version 1.2.17* Its a good game but why do you have to log in to facebook. I bought something and i was cleaning space for my phone and accidentally deleted the game. When i got it back i tried to my purchases back. Can you fix that. You do not have to link to Facebook, but doing so will save your progress and give you the ability to ask for keys and PVP with friends that are also playing the game. You do have to wait to progress if you do not have any keys - you can ask for keys via Facebook or purchase them if you do not want to wait. You should be able to restore your purchases as long as you are logged into the same Apple account you originally used to make your purchases. Thank you! ### 4/5 — Great Game, but now dead *2019-03-19, version 1.2.17* This was one of my favorite games to play when passing time, even invested money to get passed the energy. However, once you beat the short campaign, there is not much to do besides play other characters in the PvP arena, which gets a bit boring. I wish they would add a new area, or something new in general. I have almost everything purchased in-game (not IRL cash) and it is extremely hard to finish getting everything as we only get a small amount of gold when things cost so much. Would love to see this game rise higher, it is a fun game to challenge friends to. The one that the red tiles have no affect. Then we can have a developer investigate this issue. ### 3/5 — ***MAJOR BUG!*** *2017-12-01, version 1.2.15* I love this game on my phone and fire kindle HD. No complaints there. However the iPad version has a major bug in it that causes numbered “cages” to appear as blacked-out boxes. You can’t see the skull or gem underneath. It’s just a black box with a number on it. It’s not until you “break” the cage that the glitched box goes away and reveals whatever was originally there. This is very frustrating as it prevents you from knowing if it is a skull or specific gem so that you can strategize accordingly. Please fix this bug. It’s so frustrating that it makes me almost not want to play it anymore. Me and my bf play this together, him on the kindle, me on the iPad, and his version works flawlessly with no blacked-out boxes. I will be happy to give 5stars⭐️ when this issue is fixed. ### 4/5 — Skulls appearance changes and can’t see gems *2017-10-31, version 1.2.13* The skulls have a format showing all stages at once, and I can’t see certain gems anymore, I am sure it’s do to a recent update. Then I deleted the game because I was spending to much time on it. Well I came back to it and it seems if you don’t link your account to Facebook then it doesn’t save your file ? Because it is literally gone my founder status , all my progress and yeah. So if you don’t have Facebook don’t bother apparently. **Developer response:** Thank you for your review. Then we can have a developer investigate this issue. ### 2/5 — How did this game even get on the App Store *2020-09-26, version 1.2.17* I’ll give them this they did a really good job of making it terrible all the dragons are incredibly hard to beat you get them to like 1 health and they instantly kill you ### 2/5 — It's fun, but plagued with problems. *2015-01-07, version 1.1.4* The game itself is really fun and rewarding. What isn't so fun (or rewarding) is the fact that it's a classic example of a freemium game. Gotta pay for energy or wait ten minutes for each move. Gotta pay to unlock the next area or wait EIGHT HOURS for each key. The first area needs three keys. So I need to wait 24 hours to play again? I understand needing incentives to pay money, but this is ridiculous. The Founder upgrade is cool, but ten bucks is a bit much for an iOS game. If the price were cut to $5.99, the number of purchases would skyrocket. Including myself. Oh, and the shop crashes are a bit frustrating. You spend money on an item, then the game crashes, and you restart it only to find that it took your gold but didn't give you the item you bought. Yay. tl;dr cool game, but paywalls ruin it without the founder's upgrade, and the shop crashes come at the worst times. Drop the Founder price and fix the bugs, and your game will be so much better. ### 2/5 — AQ mobile.......hmmmmmm *2014-04-20, version 1.0.3* First of all, I'd like to say the gameplay is wonderful for Artix's first attempt at a mobile game. No complaints there. Very simple, yet very entertaining quest/map/battles. Great to pass time on. I have experienced crashes only when I go crazy clicking and buying everything in a store/customizing my character for too long. So it's pretty avoidable for me. However, the constant puns are painfully weak and cheesy (some are ever pretty crass for a game designed for kids....."Son of a beach".....really?! And that whole treasure chest dialogue in Quest #41......wow. I wouldn't let my kid play it if I had one.....and I'm 18!). The hero is a total jerk and I get sick of watching him taunt everyone like an egotistical moron (not my idea of a hero. No humility.) Some of the very few historical facts are wrong (Little Shop of Horrors......it's the 50's version where the plants win, stupid! In the 80's one, they lose!). I'm an avid AQWorlds player but.....the script and character quality of this game are atrocious. It's not redeeming in the slightest and sets kids up to act like total buttholes. "Hey, good guys do it, so can I!" What happened to humility and respect no matter what? ### 3/5 — Need update *2023-10-10* Good game but we need the service back. It’s not the greatest puzzle game. I would rather play candy crush than this, and I hate candy crush. They only thing they do is make fun of other franchises. Examples are, Instead of God of War, it’s croc of war. Instead of Darth Vader, it’s darth hater. My father worked on this game and thank god he got another job with someone else. I’m pretty disappointed in this work ### 3/5 — Improper screen fitting. *2021-01-26, version 1.2.17* It’s a fun game, I can only find two things that are annoying and if they were fixed I would definitely change rating to 5 stars. 1. Some text and menus appear off screen. It doesn’t make the game unplayable it’s just a little irritating. 2. No one wants to sit through that little intro every time they get on to play. Make it “skippable”. I’m playing on an iPhone 11 Pro if that matters to anyone. ### 3/5 — Update! *2020-05-16, version 1.2.17* I’ve been playing games from Artix since 2012 and my favorite game to pass the time has to be battle gems. Have to either wait 28 hours for 3 keys before you can continue, pay real money, or share a thousand times on facebook. Every time I try to it just tells me to keep linking it ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — A little janky on newer phones, but still very fun. *2024-02-01* I played this game back when it came out and recently decided to revisit it. Not having to worry about energy has made the game much more enjoyable. A few of the textures look a little weird which I think is just due to them being designed for older phone screens. It doesn’t impact the gameplay at all though. The progression is steady and rewarding. Also playing AQ3D, which is so wonderful, it takes me back to EverQuest vanilla!! Here's my issue in this game: I keep getting a persistent error in PnP battles : Error: missing life error. I accumulate no trophies at all and it's seriously frustrating. Can you guys have a look at this error as I suspect I'm not the only one affected.
