Most of the mechanics are familiar to me so I think I’m off to a decent start. There is a lot of free swag to get you going early on which is cool. I like that you can improve the ships systems before they are maxed too. It’s a nice way to get some extra punch early on. But there are drawbacks. Not having the entire player base on one server is kinda poor. I can’t join the alliances that I’d like and it doesn’t appear that you can switch servers. I’ve also seen some massively powerful ships on players who say that they have only been playing for a week. That seems very unbalanced. The legion war matchmaking also appears broken. My legion is now paired with another overpowered team and we have no hope of winning. So I like the game and think it has promise but if they can’t get some of these things corrected, blending the player base and created more equal matching in pvp battles, I won’t play very long. **Developer response:** Dear friend, we are honored to have your feedbacks here. My daughter pointed me to Battleships and Puzzles. I love it!!! Thinking through strategy, connecting with other players, and building my sim city base. Great creativity. I am curious, how do you spend the gold in the mint? I can’t even find the mint to increase or is it? However after more than a year and several dollars of real money spent this game will no longer load up ! After all this time and effort I can no longer play the game !! Look elsewhere for your enjoyment ### 1/5 — Take out a Mortgage to play *2020-12-14, version 1.31.5* The cost of this game is unheard of in a mobile app. When they say boat load of money they are not kidding. I have spent well over 15k and I’m no where near where I should be. With this the game it has become so unbalanced. The game should have limit the upgrades but guess that’s not good for the pocket. If you play competitive you will have to spend 20k+ and if you don’t spend good luck on the 2 years you will give to get nothing. There is no skill as the devs have rigged the gems to fall how they want them to fall. It was fun a year ago but now it’s all about the money not the game. The Devs know exactly what they are doing when it comes to scamming every penny you have. Waste of time and money, you’ll repeatedly lose raids that there’s no way you should lose and ascension items for five star ships are extremely rare to come by unless you have deep pockets. I had many five star ships but never got to the final ascension on any of them. Unless you are willing to dump a truck load of cash on this game you won’t compete. Best regards. ### 1/5 — The game had lost its luster bad scoring system *2020-04-21, version 1.18.1* As a player of battleships and Puzzles I am concerned about the state of the game. There are several reasons for this. I will list them below to give you a better idea what the B&P community is struggling with. 1. You have allowed members to spend and build ships at a rapid pace, making your pirate ships irrelevant to this point. A 10 🌟 pirate ship stand no chance against any filled legion. The pirate ships need to go higher 11/12 🌟 maybe even higher. 2. You, the makers of the game have a flawed scoring system or lack there of. You count (PVP)player vs player" and pirate ships as a measurement of how to rank legions. Leaving out the most critical aspect of ranking, HEAD TO HEAD (Team legion wars ) competition. This needs to be rectified immediately or the results will be unfavorable for your company. Member will leave or stop spending money on this game. A scoring system should cover all aspects of the game. Team and individual efforts should be brought into the calculation of legion scores 1.Team legion wars 2.pirate ship scores 3. War/"player vs player"(PVP) These three events would cover every aspect of the individual and team concept. Other games have done this and have been doing rather well. Thanks. ### 2/5 — Could be fun, but... *2020-09-24, version 1.27.1* This app has potential, but there are bugs/other things that make it kind of a bummer. 1.) The ‘airdrops’ only work if you turn off and turn back on your device. Too many times, I watch the video to get the airdrop, only to get nothing and it won’t work again until you shut your deal down all the way. 2.). Too many items that should be available for purchase with the cash you get by completing levels, that aren’t. Some items are only available to purchase with way too many arena coins. Shouldn’t force players to use and win in the unbalanced arena in order to progress in the rest of the game. 3.) resources needed for ship leveling/enhancing are way out of whack. It takes way too many resources to get not enough of an improvement on ships. 4.) Killing pirates? Anyone that hasn’t bought the best ships and paid to deck them out won’t waste time attacking pirates, because we do nominal damage, and the awards are all but useless to us. **Developer response:** Dear friend, for your concerns, I'd like to tell you that: 1. I have tried everything to add a ship to my fleet but am unable to. What am I doing wrong? I am getting so frustrated with this I probably well delete this app if I can’t figure this out. There was a period of time where the developers seemed to be gearing more towards just “earning money” and the game almost seemed unachievable but they have revamped their awards, events, etc and made even getting a five star ship attainable for those who don’t have physical money to spend on a game. Customer support is great, lots of events and plenty to do in the game. Free2play is possible and the devs are fairly generous with rewards and stuff. I hope they continue this as lately they have been getting more restrictive on things like the Holiday events and costs to build ships and also harder to craft certain items.
