### 3/5 — Gets the job done, but needs an update.

*2022-07-18, version 2.0.7*

I’ve been using this app for awhile, and I’ve definitely see and feel results. I also would not say it’s an app for beginners. You have to know some basics about strength training in order to be get the most out of it. I also think it should allow for more customization. My gym doesn’t have free weights passed a certain number. I have to skip to a new exercise every time I workout. I should be able to switch out permanently or at the start of the workout. Also, lower body workouts only have about 2-3 exercises per workout w/ the rest being upper body training. Leg days should be legs days. There hasn’t been an update to the app in about two years and it shows. There can be a discrepancy in the image showing the weight load in one area of the app over another. You have to pay attention the weight load when you’re in between sets or it will throw off your workout. The app also randomly resets weight back to trial sets without warning. That’s super annoying and counterproductive to overall goals. I’m a premium user, but I’m considering switching to an app that has regular updates. It was fun while it lasted. Might be time to move on.

### 3/5 — Love it but hate it

*2022-06-17, version 2.0.7*

Has good workouts but I do not like the long rest periods you guys need to shorten them

### 4/5 — More workouts

*2021-06-03, version 2.0.7*

Developers this could definitely be a 5 star if you gave us the option to adjust how many days a week we want to work out and if you could add ABS workouts it would definitely be complete in my opinion.

### 4/5 — Need to update

*2021-04-22, version 2.0.7*

Need more workouts. Also a way to skip a exercise if it’s occupied so you can do it later not skip it all together

### 5/5 — Can be repetitive, but ultimately you get results

*2020-12-26, version 2.0.7*

I’ve been using this app for several years now, and at first it was on and off. I felt like it wasn’t variations enough between my workouts so i wasn’t on it as much. Now, about three months ago, I’ve decided to stick with the regiment for a number of six months. Throughout the third month, i progressively seen changes in my body mentally and physically. It truly changes and sculpts your strength and lean muscle as if you’re seeing a trainer in the gym. I honestly love the app now, but just wish it would throw in some new workouts after each 30 days you use it. Overall, i would recommend to anyone that has patience and wants to see results in strength.

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2020-12-18, version 2.0.7*

I’ve used this app on and off for over a year and have been impressed every time. The tracking and progression is great and keeps me pushing myself. I don’t usually have any issue with equipment as I’m able to adjust the workout based on what I have available at home.

Only downfall I’ve noticed is the repetitive workouts. In order to reach my personal goals I’ve had to adjust and do workouts other than just this app which adds time to my workouts. Other than that, I’m satisfied overall.

### 4/5 — Love it

*2020-12-14, version 2.0.7*

I don’t have to worry about my weight increase as this app does it for me as I’m improving.

### 5/5 — Awesome!

*2020-12-02, version 2.0.7*

Great way to visually track and know your gains!

### 4/5 — Woman version

*2020-10-18, version 2.0.7*

I would give five stars because this app has been very helpful however, the app seems that it is only for men, and the name tells it all. Incorporating some booty focus workouts because I am a woman and I want a big booty.

### 5/5 — Easy to follow

*2020-09-16, version 2.0.7*

App is easy to follow, if I could make one change it would be a set up feature to tell the app what equipment and what weights are available

### 5/5 — Wore out

*2020-08-28, version 2.0.7*

Might have to delete this app I’ve never been this sore and tired before

### 5/5 — Workout Regiment

*2020-07-09, version 2.0.7*

This app is good for displaying what the workout looks like and a display for how the weights should look for the next set. It pushes you to hit hit reps for warmup then heavy weights and low reps for the workouts. Have an Apple Watch and when using this app I just use the Strength Training workout to track calories and heart rate and this will help you shred calories!!

### 5/5 — Bau5e

*2020-07-06, version 2.0.7*

Great helped my gains

### 5/5 — Personal trainer

*2020-07-02, version 2.0.7*

Love this app, it takes the thinking out of your work out and programs you for success and gains!

### 5/5 — Great

*2020-06-28, version 2.0.7*

Absolutely amazing cannot get better.

### 3/5 — Good but little variety of exercises

*2020-05-22, version 2.0.7*

The app is really good at keeping you on track but there’s very little variety. Could be improved if the app had more alternatives for exercises. For example if there is no Smith machine what can be done instead. Also more exercises like using a pull up bar or landmine.

### 5/5 — Great

*2020-03-11, version 2.0.7*

I am 17/18 and the app works like I can see improvement every-time I go. It not like other apps this is the one

### 5/5 — Boring but effective

*2020-03-10, version 2.0.7*

The app does a lot of the same basic workouts, there’s a good selection of workouts that it’ll choose from but if you’re someone who needs constant variation you won’t get it, this can make the workouts a little boring some weeks so it doesn’t hurt to throw in another app or your own spin to keep things fresh, however the way it tracks your progress and adjusts your weights over time is highly effective and if you use the app you will make progress and get stronger, I have yet to have another workout out actually increase my muscle mass and strength as effective as this app which is why I think it deserves 5 stars

### 5/5 — Pretty sweet

*2020-02-28, version 2.0.7*

App is super easy to use. Doesn’t require a ton of data from you to get started.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Where’s the weight?

*2021-06-13, version 2.0.7*

First few workouts it’ll give me a weight and go up. Now, nothing. Anything involving a barbell, or won’t add weight to it. Any machines or dumbbells, it’ll stay at one weight

### 1/5 — Trying to log in.

*2020-01-06, version 2.0.7*

Trying to log in. It is not working for weeks. I have sent several emails requesting help and no answer.

### 1/5 — Worst App Ever

*2019-12-12, version 2.0.7*

Hands down one of the worst body building apps I have encountered. The UX is terrible and shows that no user research was done in terms of how people use exercise apps.

### 1/5 — Lowsy Support - App keeps crashing!

*2019-10-28, version 2.0.5*

App keeps ceashing at the end of my workouts! I send in log to Customer Support but nothing! Today it logged me out and is not letting me log back in! Pswd reset not working! No reset password coming. All of my workout records lost!

### 1/5 — Fix it

*2019-10-01, version 2.0.5*

We need that beginner stage and an option if the weight is too much that you can bring it down for your set

### 1/5 — Not worth the subscription

*2018-03-15, version 2.0.4*

For 20$ a month I expect more then the 3 same workouts that repeat themselves.

### 1/5 — :(

*2018-01-25, version 2.0.4*

Can’t log in

### 1/5 — I need help with this app?

*2014-11-05, version 1.0.3*

I need to change my settings back to intermediate as advanced is too much with the trials? How do I do this? No FAQ or help?

### 1/5 — Lacks flexibility

*2014-08-22, version 1.0.3*

The app would be good if it did not set timeouts and rest time between workouts. Skip buttons would solve the issue. Until then, this is worthless.

### 1/5 — Can't connect

*2014-07-01, version 1.0.1*

Without Facebook, you can't log in. I don't have Facebook… and won't.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Absolute best app ever!!!

*2025-01-28, version 2.0.12*

One of the big reasons I got an iPhone again was for this helpful app. I love it. Perfect for beginners and beyond. Get it

### 5/5 — Awesome, basically a personal trainer

*2024-05-23, version 2.0.11*

amazing app that will get you ripped without having to figure out what exercises to do. Only thing I wish is for it to integrate with Whoop or the Equinox app.

### 5/5 — Best work out app I’ve used

*2023-06-27, version 2.0.11*

I’ve been using this app off and on for about 7 years, and I have to say it does it job amazingly! I started using it a few months before I retired from the military and it’s definitely kept me in shape!

### 5/5 — GREAT CAN ALWAYS BE GREATER

*2022-12-04, version 2.0.7*

I’ve used this apps for years since I first found out about it in college. I’ve definitely seen results and I’m continuing to see them even if I fall off for a week or two. The adaptive was of the app is excellent and a great push for yourself to get stronger and keep track of your goals. But we need more workouts

I’m roughly 100 workouts in and though we’re hitting all the necessary muscle groups, different exercises can make the app even more useful and giving the body more dynamic motions to do. Simplest example would adding split squats or lunges so more exercises can be incorporated into the routine.

If push-ups can be added as an alternative for bench press when not available, then lunges can easily incorporated.

Alternative exercises should also come more often as in the scheduled workouts instead just when a machine or weight is not available. I think that would be a hearty mix up for all users and promote use health overall since body weight exercises will now be regulated in the regime

### 5/5 — Great overall

*2022-08-06, version 2.0.7*

Would love to see new exercises included as well as the gym adaptive feature that allows the equipment to match the gym your at

### 5/5 — Best Personal Trainer!

*2022-07-02, version 2.0.7*

This app is hands down the best fitness app in the AppStore. It customizes the exercises based on body type gender and goal. It starts with trial exercises to determine your current level and will adjust the weight accordingly. It tells you exactly how much weight to use and how many reps and sets. Also it has a rest timer. This app if the best personal trainer.

### 5/5 — Drew

*2022-05-22, version 2.0.7*

Great app. I’ve been using if for years

### 5/5 — Great app

*2021-11-25, version 2.0.7*

This app really helped me getting into the shape. I have only one request for developers, there should be feature to turn ON/OFF superset feature in between the workout. Sometimes there are equipment issue but then you can’t turn off once you started. Thanks!

### 5/5 — Personal trainer on my phone

*2021-07-30*

Well thought out and intuitive. Videos are easy to access and remind you of correct form … especially when you start to tire

### 5/5 — Best App

*2021-01-05, version 2.0.7*

Best workout app on the market. I’ve gotten stronger the more I used it.
