Bauer Keyless with Bluetooth Technology from Bauer Products Bauer Keyless is a free app that enables users to easily control any Bluetooth enabled Bauer lock from their smartphone. PAIR WITH MULTIPLE LOCKS Users may pair with multiple locks and control them simultaneously. PROXIMITY MODE Proximity mode allows the user to unlock the lock without entering a code when their phone is nearby. This may be enabled or disabled in settings. The distance at which this mode becomes active is selectable by the user in the locks settings. Note: The actual activation distance may not be consistent for all phones. When the phone is in range and the mode is active, the lock will display a pulsing green border. POWER MODES There are 3 different power modes available in the lock settings. 1) Normal mode is used during every-day operation. 2) Low power mode may be enabled to conserve battery life at the expense of some extra latency. 3) Enable storage mode when the lock will not be in use for a long period of time. I love that I can use my Apple Watch to unlock my RV. The watch app doesn’t go by the same name though. It’s WATCH BLE LOCKBASE. I sometimes forget lol ### 1/5 — Useless *2024-09-20* When selecting “+Add” in the upper right corner; you’re allegedly supposed to get a list of locks, but nothing populates. ### 1/5 — No Good *2023-08-14* Worked for about 2 weeks now it won’t connect to our phones. I don’t see anything. What does this red 1 mean? Do I need to delete the app and reinstall? **Developer response:** We apologize, there is a bug that is causing the notification indication to remain active. We will have this fixed in the next release. Thank you for letting us know! ### 1/5 — Struggling with Bluetooth *2022-07-02* I like the keypad entry but could have spent far less for that feature only considering pairing is a chore. The directions state that you have to hold two buttons down but based on this touchpad system there's no way to be able to hold two keys down at the same time until the pair process takes place. As the other reviewer had stated support is next to impossible to get a hold of. I may most likely attempt to trade this back in due to Amazon excepting returns and refunds. ### 3/5 — Good but not great *2022-04-26* Works reasonably well, except when it doesn’t. App is simple but setup, configuration and troubleshooting are hampered by lack of feedback. For example, when adding a lock fails, as it did after many attempts, there is no info as to why. There’s no indication what mode the lock Bluetooth is in, and the app doesn’t advise correctly all the time. Customer service was of no help; live support didn’t know enough, and despite promising to call back with technical/IT help, never did (on several occasions). Lock itself may be the issue - I suspect it uses older, less reliable Bluetooth chipset. Inconsistent range and connection reliability, makes the app look unresponsive. Proximity and remote features are worth having, just wish these features where more reliable. That said, it works most of the time. Right now, it’s the best choice available, but that’s not a ringing endorsement. As soon as something better comes out, will replace it.
