Not a complaint — just a couple of minor observations regarding the app icon in dark mode: 1. It uses a true black background instead of the darker grey-to-black gradient style recommended by Apple. I understand this is likely intentional to reflect the app’s UI and aesthetic, but at times it can feel slightly out of place alongside other Home Screen icons. 2. The icon details (clock hand and numbers) always use the blue (lagoon) color, even when changing the app icon color. There is more to come, enjoy! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 3/5 — Not totally sure how I feel about this one… *2026-05-12, version 1.0.2* I’ve had Bauhaus Clock on my Mac for ages now and absolutely love it. It’s probably the perfect screen saver! I love watches and clocks, and Atilla really did an amazing job capturing the “feel” of the movements, as well as the aesthetic of a real clock. As such, I bought this the second it released, and… idk. Compared to the MacOS version, this just doesn’t feel as polished or as good of a value proposition to me. I fully understand the development limitations here, but something about the flow of opening the app when charging just feels a bit janky, and so I’m currently just using this app for the widget. The worst part is that I’m not entirely sure what could be done to fix this. Maybe iOS just isn’t the right platform for this sort of app? At least in its current state. I also feel like this should be about half the price, personally, or at least discounted for people who already own Bauhaus Clock on Mac. I love the vision, Atilla, and I’ll continue to support your pursuit of excellence, but something’s off with this app and I unfortunately can’t put my finger on it just yet. ### 5/5 — Oh my god I just paid 19 dollars (?) for a clock widget. *2026-08-12* I assumed this was like, functional clock wallpaper, or something, which seemed cool; it is on me for not reading. It’s not that, it’s a clock widget, which I already had, from the clock app on my phone. I guess you can make this one green, so there’s that.
