### 3/5 — Incomplete

*2010-02-24*

I want to give this app 4 or 5 stars but like the other well designed "Bay Area" transit app before it, Routesy, it fails to fully cover all Bay Area transit.
For the love of god, where is AC Transit on this app?!
How can developers from Berkeley fail to include AC Transit?!
At the very least you should have included the 1 and/or 1R bus.
C'mon people!

How is it that the app with the worst UI (iCommuteSF) is the only one to include all transit agencies in the Bay?

Please update quickly and provide us with the fully realized comprehensive Bay Area transit app that people like me who live in the City and work in the East Bay, (Reverse commute? Oh my!) or visa versa for the masses want and deserve. Thanks.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Trip planning useless

*2012-04-01*

Nice concept but lousy implementation. Put a start pin at a BART station in downtown SF and an end pin at an East Bay station and try to plan a trip. All I get is a message saying based in the position of the buses, I should walk or take a cab.

### 1/5 — What happened

*2011-12-16*

Used to have Bart, mini, and ferry. Now only Bart. Useless in current state ... Hope you will add ferries and muni again

### 2/5 — Misleading Sample App Pics

*2013-06-10*

Picture and description show MUNI and Ferry on schedule screen. MUNI schedule doesn't exist. Ferry data nowhere to be found in app! Such a major disappointment for an otherwise useful and informative app.

### 2/5 — its weekend BART schedules are wrong

*2012-11-05*

Lots of features, but it's wrong unacceptably often. I started using Transporter instead. Seems to be more accurate, although I miss some BT features.

### 2/5 — Was the best, now among the worst

*2012-09-22*

This app used to beat the others hands down with its dynamic, full featured route planner. But that feature has been broken for 6+ months w/ no fix in sight. The dev's blog has been equally as dead. Without the dynamic planner the app becomes worthless especially since other apps like Pocket Muni or MuniWatch have better GUI Nav to simply and meagerly display 1 route at a time - which is all this app can do now.

Its one saving grace is that it includes built in maps for a lot of the public transit agencies around the Bay Area and even timetables.

### 2/5 — Disappointing

*2012-08-28*

Pretty app, if it actually worked. Every time I try to use it something screws up or it can't give me real time data. Frustrating!!

### 2/5 — Annoying

*2011-12-30*

This app seems awesome...until it crashes over, and over, and over....well you get the idea.

### 2/5 — What happened?

*2011-12-27*

This app was great but now does not show ferry schedules. Please fix

### 2/5 — Never seems to work when I need it

*2011-11-09*

I visit SF once a month for work, and I have had good success with this app and really liked it. But lately, I can get BART schedules to display when I'm not in SF, but it never works when I am actually in the city. And the app can never understand that you are at SFO and want to take BART...it just can't seem to figure out that a BART station is part of the airport complex. Wish they'd get the bugs fixed!

### 3/5 — Good

*2012-09-10*

Good app but not focused on the big 7 systems. It would be good if you could upload the transit schedules of golden gate transit and samtrans. So connections from muni and ac transit can be made. Also include transit alerts from 511 such as delays on the bart tracks or muni. That would require a staff person to be in touch with transit supervisors for all major agencies but on the long run that would be helpful. Finally, include in your search button all bus an alternative modes that allow the rider to choose which on to take to get to or close to the final destination. For example if i am at Market an Drumm in SF and want to get to upper Haight show the 71, 6, and N can take me there and the arrival times.

### 5/5 — Super App

*2011-06-17*

Free - and super. Gives 3 to 5 (or more?) choices of how-to-go, price, real waiting times (not super accurate there but that's prob due to info from muni). Dropping a pin instead if putting I'm address is fast and easy although I can do both. Now if it had only told me the N train from the park to downtown was slow and overcrowded in Friday afternoon, it would have been perfect.

### 5/5 — Specialized Expertise

*2011-05-10*

This app does one thing, and does it well. This app knows exactly which users it wants to help, and helps them. I am one of those people. This app makes my life easier every time I need it. I would pay for this app.

### 5/5 — Thank you

*2010-09-02*

This is a free app? It's incredible. What are the developers getting out of this? It's the most complete transportation app I've used and the information just comes to my phone. Thank you for making this, my wife and I just love it.

### 5/5 — Freaking Amazing.

*2010-01-13*

Best. Application. Ever. MUNI, BART, bike routes! The map is awesome. This has everything you could want to get around San Francisco by bike or transit, and it's FREE. I have no idea why this application doesn't have more reviews because it's the BEST. It works so smoothly.

If they add Oakland and Berkeley to the application, my brain may well explode from joy.

### 4/5 — Still my go-to app for bay area public transit

*2012-12-15*

Miss the real-time planning feature. Real-time arrivals are helpful though the calculated “closest stop” is a bit off for me. Extras provide transit maps and alerts as well as the BART Mobile site for the Quick Planner.

Would be good to know if anyone is continuing development of this app as it’s been over a year since the last update.

### 4/5 — Great app

*2012-06-17*

Great idea and convenient app. Wish it had a better system for AC transit so I know which bus to take. Otherwise, great.

### 4/5 — not perfect, but better than the rest

*2012-01-02*

the app does seem to crash quite a bit, but this app has proven much easier for me to use ( I just moved to the city) than the others out there because of the drop/start pin identifiers. hostop and next bus are great, but you need to know general bus line locations to figure it out. if you don't know them, you have to do a limitless more research before you're ready to use them.

In my opinion this is the best sf app for getting around in the city if you're new to the area. use next bus or hop stop if you already know the bus lines and just need times, etc.

I'm sticking with the app and am just going to be sending my crash reports in hopes that they get the kinks out.

### 3/5 — Great app, but slow and buggy

*2010-11-07*

This app is really wonderful...when it is running. Unfortunately, on my 3G, it is often running really slow (taking literally a minute or two to flip between windows) and crashes a lot.

When it is running though, it provides accurate muni times and pretty decent directions.

### 3/5 — Nice App

*2010-07-10*

This is the only San Francisco transit app that offers a trip planner for MUNI, at least that I can find. There is a bug that has got to be fixed. Hitting the link for one line, in the list of bus lines, brings up the info for the line above the one you tapped. That can be fixed though and as soon as it is I will add another star.
