Not really working? **Developer response:** Hello. Thank you for leaving your review.  BayWatch alerts as new items are found. By default this will check every 3 hours. If you set a watch up and leave the app in the background, it will do this. If you keep opening the app (or leave it open on screen), then it will check again at that point, and reset the 3 hour window, so you will not get any alerts as they wouldn't be needed. The app is very easy to use and the searches and alerts are very reliable. Could offer more than 3 mo subscription. But that’s just mho ### 4/5 — It’s good *2022-10-03* It’s great, but for some reason I get a fair number of false positives. I get a notification and an app badge, but when I open it there are no new items. Also, why are there no longer subscription options? It’s rather pricey, and it feels like I’m constantly paying due to the longest subscription being 3 months. **Developer response:** Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. In answer to your points: When you receive an alert, there has been a new item(s) found. If you open the app straight away, it is quite likely that whilst the notification has come through, the new items need to refresh on your device (this has become more prevalent in more recent versions of iOS, as the amount of time available for background processing can be less, generally as a result of frequent checks / number of searches, and also speed of internet). In this case, if you wait a few seconds, the data should refresh and any new items appear. The other scenario is items being listed being ended, either through the seller cancelling it, or it selling. This seems to happen a lot more for some searches than others, which leads me to think it is some form of automatic cancellation by eBay (perhaps spam listings?). On the subject of subscriptions, the price is in line with the previous pricing when an annual subscription was available, which I stopped due to API changes on the eBay side. I shall consider re-adding the longer subscriptions in the future, or perhaps switching to an auto-renewing subscription. Thanks, Neil. ### 4/5 — Contact Support Button Does not Work. How to backup? *2022-09-03* Update: I was able to contact support through their general email address. They replied speedily. I was told that although they don’t have an in app backup option all of my app data should be backed up and preserved as long as I have the app set to backup with my iOS iCloud backup. Also the contact support button only works if you have the iOS mail app setup with an email account. Because I’ve bypasses the iOS mail app entirely that is why the contact support button doesn’t work for me. Excellent support service and still enjoying the app! I am really enjoying this app and love all of the specific search details it allows you to input. I’m paying for the premium service for 15 min searches. Totally worth it. However, I’m trying to find a way to backup my searches so I don’t end up losing them if I lose my phone or need to reinstall app. I have nearly a hundred searches and losing them would be devastating due to the amount of time and research I’ve put in them for my business. When trying to contact support within app I click the button in the settings but it does nothing. A few hours later… I’m getting notifications. So does it open itself up or was the statement untrue? It can only be one or the other. And why doesn’t the list have a link to open the item? The share button has a bunch of irrelevant text. I should just be Able to click the listing and be redirected to web or eBay app. **Developer response:** Thank you for leaving your review. BayWatch does need to be open in the background to get the best performance. If you close it, you will still get updates, although not as fast for up to around 24 hours (from the server side), after which they will stop until you re-open the app. As for having a link to open the items, there is one... Thanks! ### 3/5 — Issue *2021-12-03* App is telling me to enable background refresh. However its greyed out in the setting and low power mode is also disable. Yes, the issue will be that your Background Refresh is turned off at the high level setting as opposed to the app level. If you look in Settings > General ? I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app. The app looks feature rich but I can’t access it so it’s a non starter. I look forward to hearing from you by email. ### 1/5 — Paid for the Rapid Discovery and it didn't work *2023-06-06, version 2.16.2* As the title says, I decided to try the subscription that gets you results within 15 min instead of the default 3 hours. I had all the settings correct but it still completely missed a search that my eBay app emailed me about. Just a heads up that it's a cool idea if it's free but not worth paying since it's apparently not reliable. ### 1/5 — App doesn’t work on iOS *2020-04-21, version 2.7.3* I downloaded it and it keeps saying Open Setting and Allow App Background Refresh.. ok , did that. Went back to the app and it just keeps telling me to go back and turn on That function when it already is. The app seems to load new results when I do it manually, but I don’t get notifications on my phone, and that was the only reason I paid. I’m on 13.1.3. Contact link within the app also doesn’t work. Nothing opens when tapped on. Literally didn’t work... **Developer response:** The main screen displays a Search eBay button at the top as soon as it launches. Tap this and you can add your first search criteria, and then tap Watch. You can then add further searches by tapping the same button. I love the app. Use it all the time. I find myself having to make two watches per item because there isn’t a way to make the “max price” INCLUDE the shipping cost. If the max price metric included shipping, I would drop a lot of false positive hope, and only get alerted for items that are below my “out the door” price.
