### 4.14 — 2026-08-18

Storkower Str., waiting for the board to load. The glyph jumped up and down while it worked — pinned to the top of a container that changed height whenever the title collapsed. It holds still now, or zooms gently in place, and not at all when Reduce Motion is on.

When the fetch failed, all it ever said was "API Error code: 503". No sentence, no way back. An error now says what happened in your own language, prints the technical line underneath — HTTP 503 · Storkower Str. · 13:00 — and offers Retry, on all four screens that can fail. The old Retry was a label shaped like a button; nothing in the app could try again without leaving the screen and coming back.

The station widget had drifted from the app it belongs to: platforms in plain grey, a line capsule with the wrong corner, destinations losing their middle inside margins nobody asked for. The platform is a pill again, the capsule matches, the margins gave back their width, and there is an extraLarge layout for the space it always deserved.

On the watch, the corner complication said how far and never which way. The bearing had been sitting in the data all along. It reads 350 m NE now. A circular complication joins it — the letters over the distance, in their own colour — and the families that had been quietly commented out are back.

The last leg was a walk to Schalkauer Str., and the card said exactly that: a time, a small walking figure, the street name, an arrow — and then nothing. The destination was an address rather than a station, and an address had no name to give. Now the walk reads all the way through: 350 m, and the time you arrive. The card carries its destination at the top again, and a bar that keeps moving on its own through the hour when nothing can refresh it.

A U9 leg once announced that service was normal, that some lines were partly cancelled, and that details were available elsewhere — in red, with a warning not to board. What it had actually been handed was two notices: "medium occupancy expected", and the word BVG, filed by BVG as a remark about itself. Given nothing to summarise, the summary invented something. Operator credits are dropped before summarising now, and the list still shows them. One sentence per leg, written once, and it leaves when the notice leaves.

Another notice named four lines — S3, S5, S7, S9 — and back came a warning about S32 through S50, a sequence carried on past the end of the list as though those were stations. None of it was ever there. Line numbers, stops, platforms and times are checked against the source now; what was invented gets one chance to disappear, and if it stays, the notice arrives as it was written, cause and place intact — signal repair at Hackescher Markt.

### 4.13 — 2026-08-11

Thirty stops between Gesundbrunnen and Hohenzollerndamm. The screen showed thirty separate rows, each with its own stub of route line — one ride, read as a stack of fragments.

Now a single line runs the whole way. It fills as you move, a marker slides down it, the stop you boarded at stays marked. Above it: the line, where it ends, how many stops are left, when you arrive.

Tap a stop and the other departures from there open as a card — what you could change onto. Tap the card for the full board. Only the open stop carries an arrow; the other twenty-nine keep quiet.

The ride can sit on your Lock Screen now. The line, a bar across the whole trip, the next three stops, and in the Dynamic Island a countdown to the next one. No more counting stations through a dark window.

Four toolbar icons became one menu, and the departure board has room for its title again. Pull down to refresh. The time picker opens over the list instead of covering it, departure or arrival takes effect at once, and the widget can show arrivals too — from, instead of to.

A disruption notice used to print itself twice: a summary, then a preview of the same sentence. Now one sentence and a count. It arrives in your language, even when the delay was filed as a mere hint. And station names stay as the signs spell them — S Südkreuz Bhf, with the translation beside it, never instead of it.

The floating home and map buttons are glass on iOS 26 and watchOS 26, so the list reads through them. And the whole disc takes a tap, not just the icon in the middle.

### 4.12 — 2026-07-27

Three grey icons on a stop: something underground, something on rails, something on wheels. True, and barely useful.

Now, when only one line of a kind serves that stop, the line says its own name. U2. M8. 142. In their own colours, once you've opened the stop once. Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz stops being a guess.

A line badge should never shrink to a coloured dot. Beside a long destination, RE4 did exactly that. Not anymore.

The progress bar used to come back blank from your pocket — it had been reading a clock that fell asleep. Now it reads the real one. Legs already ridden step aside; the one you're riding scrolls into view.

The widget stopped showing 14:31 at half past ten. When it can't reach the network, it tells you instead of pretending.

The Ringbahn turns the right way round — S41 clockwise, S42 against it, on the watch and in the Dynamic Island. On the wrist, walking legs take less room, so the remark beneath them fits. And the loading screen has a sky.

### 4.11 — 2026-04-28

This update focuses on clearer live information while you're already on the move:

- AI remark summaries now surface directly in journey legs, so disruptions are easier to understand at a glance.
- Widgets now show live countdown timers more cleanly, with steadier text layout in departure rows.
- Live Activities have a more readable layout with better platform badges, countdowns, destination text, and Dynamic Island behavior.
- Remark summaries now handle partial cancellations and preserve abbreviations like BVG and DB more reliably.
- Share text formatting is improved, and several layout and stability issues have been fixed throughout the app.

### 4.10 — 2026-04-11

There's a warning on the next leg. The kind that used to mean tapping through a wall of text to find out why. Now it surfaces right there, Apple Intelligence condensing it to a line you can act on.

You reroute. The app fills in where you're standing — no need to type it. Your destination stays.

Nearby stops grew compass arrows. So did the widget. Walking out the wrong exit is harder now.

Live Activities got a proper clock and a platform line. The Dynamic Island shows what remains: countdown, destination, where to be.

Notifications skip past departures that already left. Stops open Look Around. A handful of layout details that add up over a long commute.
