Since the removal of the translation feature it’s no longer useful for this purpose so I’ve stopped using it, which is a shame as checking the news in BBC Mundo was a daily ritual. ### 2/5 — Translate *2026-01-09, version 9.2.0* Love the app but very disappointed that I can no longer highlight specific text in order to translate it into english. I use BBC mundo to help me learn Spanish. But when I come across a word or phrase that I don’t understand, I need an easy way to translate it. Other apps, e.g. rtve, still allow me to highlight and translate with ease. ### 3/5 — Translation Option *2025-12-29* Please add back the option to translate within the app. ### 4/5 — Please bring back the translate feature *2025-12-14, version 9.2.0* I read both BBC news in English and BBC Mundo as a learner of Spanish and about the Spanish-speaking world. The translation feature was a quick way to teach me words that I don’t know. But since the last update selection and translation is now disabled.
