The BC Ale Trail app rewards you for exploring British Columbia’s craft brewery destinations and the super, natural landscapes that surround them. Within each Ale Trail you will find recommended itineraries to explore the respective destination – this includes an array of craft breweries, pubs, restaurants, cafes, outdoor activities, sightseeing, accommodations and more. Create an Account With a BC Ale Trail app account, you can collect points, and redeem them for goods or services at Rewards locations within our Ale Trails. Explore The Explore button takes you to the map of BC, which has pins indicating the location of our Ale Trails and places of interest where you can collect points. Clicking on each pin on the map gives you more information about that location. Collect Points Many locations with the BC Ale Trails are assigned a point value, which can be collected when you are within GPS range of a location and have a connection to the internet. Pushing the “Collect Points” button while physically visiting a location will add the location’s points to your point total. To keep earning points, explore more locations. You can track your point total on Your Account page. Redeem Rewards Once you collect enough points, those points can be redeemed for goods or services at BC Ale Trail Rewards locations, which are indicated in the app. Select the place where you would like to redeem your reward. Hitting the “Redeem Rewards” button while physically at a Rewards location will bring up a key pad for the place owner to enter a code to deduct points from your point total in exchange for your reward. You must have an internet connection in order to redeem points. Share with Friends Find a place you want to let others know about? The Share button on each location’s page allows you to share information about that place via your social media channels. Created an account, and tried to verify, to which it says that the verification email was sent to my inbox. Nothing was ever sent. Checked spam/junk and still nothing. I reached out on IG and they told me I didn’t have an account. I took a screenshot of me trying to log in, where it shows that the email is already registered, and still nothing. I’ve been waiting for over a month for a resolution…. Time for another developer to create an app that actually works! The concept is great and fun! Just need an app that works…. ### 1/5 — Not Receiving Verification Email *2026-05-14, version 26.02.18* Both my wife and I downloaded the app and created an account. One of us on an Android device and the other on an iPhone. Once registered and set to go, we both attempt to login but can’t until our emails are verified. The app says an email has been sent but neither of us received one. We check our junk mail and nothing there either. We’ve both requested resend of verification email and nothing ever shows up. I’ve now tried about 10 times to no avail. Time to delete the app. ### 1/5 — It doesn’t work. *2025-05-24, version 2.1.0* It doesn’t work on my iPad. IOS 18.5 ### 5/5 — Thanks for fixing the app! *2025-04-21, version 2.0.21* The app was so painfully slow initially, but it’s now fixed and working really well! ### 4/5 — Getting better *2025-04-03, version 2.0.20* The original app was great. Then came the second version no one asked for, published early in 2024. It was a terrible shock - nearly entirely unusable. But they’ve been working on fixes and improvements. This version seems to be fixed and functional now. I’m still not keen on how the data is organized, but that’s a matter of whats intuitive to you personally. Overall, it’s a must-have app if you want to know what’s up in the beer world. And collecting points has gotten me some great deals. ### 1/5 — Version 2 update HORRIBLE *2025-03-31, version 2.0.20* This has got to be one of the worst app updates I’ve ever seen. The design, while attempting to be modern, is extremely difficult to understand. The icons you chose are not easy to understand and are not industry standard. You could have at least added some text next to the icons. There’s nowhere in the app I can figure out how or where to redeem my points anymore. It’s also says I have more points than I should, but I’ll take the free points!
