Save about 30 minutes a week giving an update to my club ### 5/5 — I used to love this app**updated *2025-12-15* ** I emailed tech support and they emailed me back quickly. It now works again. I am very grateful because this app has saved me so much time. I’m SO grateful to still be using it. I would send gratitude lists with this app and send them to at least 27 different people. Now when I try to send a group message, it says “~1 min” and I leave my phone on and it doesn’t ever send them. I also can’t hit “enter” and separate the numbers. I want it to back to the way it used to be without all of these new updates. It was way better 6 months ago. ### 5/5 — Outstanding, efficient, VoiceOver accessible *2025-08-23* This is an excellent app for sending group text. It protects everyone's information, and ensures that responses come to the sender only. This developer is wonderfully responsive. He made this app fully usable by voiceover users in six days after he was contacted. This is a fantastic response and should serve as a model to other developers. The app is reliable, efficient, And secure. The lifetime license is a bargain. I cannot say enough good things about the app, it's reliability, and it's solo developer who truly cares about his community. ### 4/5 — Problem with groups not fixed *2025-07-05, version 2.2.3* I made two groups, but when I tried to access them, they were no groups listed under “groups”. I was able to use the app by clicking “write” and selecting contacts as you would do sending a bcc email. Then you have to click send for each recipient which comes up very quickly, so not a big problem for me as I’m only sending to a few people. My starving artist band can’t afford $60 a month to text show promos. BCC Text is a great semiautomatic option for us. Would like the option of deleting a contact out of an existing group. I can add contacts, but can’t delete. **Developer response:** If you tap on the contact, it will be deleted from the group. All of a sudden I stopped being able to send and receive iMessages, apparently someone reported me as spam and it took me weeks to figure out that it was because of this app. I found this app to also be very clunky, if you close the screen while it’s sending then the Messages don’t go out. **Developer response:** Spam filtering is controlled by Apple and your carrier based on how recipients respond to messages. BCC Text has no involvement in that process. Keeping the screen active during sending is a requirement of Apple’s Shortcuts integration and is documented in the app. ### 1/5 — In app purchase? *2025-06-09* I had this app for over a year and I wasn't using it as much so it offloaded once I redownload it it decides to auto update and says 3/3 free texts left I originally bought this whole app from the store for 2.99 or whatever it was and now what? U made it free? With in app purchases? And subscriptions tell me why and what the point of it was **Developer response:** There was a period of 6 months where if the app was opened, I’d automatically keep it free on your device. To be transparent, I didn’t make any money the other way and I was putting in a lot of time over 3 years in the store. I decided to change the pricing model so that I could make more updates and be worth my time to put in even more work. Not very useful ### 3/5 — Disappointed *2026-08-02, version 3.5.6* I had a previous app to send group messages and it was not sending as it had when I first downloaded so I asked chat got and this was one of the tip recommendations for what I needed. I do not like this app. It takes too long to send the message when you want to send it to each person so that all will not receive all the responses. Takes up too much of my text message space. Happy to help if you run into any trouble. ### 5/5 — Great tool for automating text delivery *2026-02-10* An elderly (83 years old ) friend loves to send a small graphic plus brief message to a list of about 35 people each morning and evening. He used to do this task one at a time which was very time consuming. After some research I discovered BCC and gave it a try. There were a few issues but the very responsive developer promptly responded and now it’s a smooth process. Before settling on BCC I tried a more full featured app (much more expensive) but for this use case it was overkill. Over time the UX of BCC will improve but it’s very useable right now. For individuals, BCC is a great tool at a very low cost. ### 5/5 — Finally, a mass texter without the monthly subscription trap! *2026-01-03* I’ve tried a few of the big mass texting apps and they all wanted to lock me into an expensive monthly subscription just to send a few updates to my clients. Bcc Text is a breath of fresh air. It does exactly what I need by sending individual private messages to my list without creating a messy group chat. The shortcuts integration to automate sending is a total game changer. I used to have to sit there tapping send for every single person on other apps, but this makes it so much faster.
