It works for one day & the next day, it can’t be accessed! I have to either restart my phone or delete the app & download it again in order for it to work. The audacity broward has to make all of my information vulnerable to my parents and the frankness of this county to HIDE my own gpa from me is unacceptable. It is genuinely astounding how instead of using our money to assist students, they just keep adding unnecessary rules and random platforms that make everything harder. Not only that, but the app has countess bugs/issues. Recently, my mom installed this app. SHE AND HER BOYFRIEND CHECK EVERY DAY. It puts this pressure on me to overwork myself. Although I have good grades, sometimes they won’t look good. Meaning I would have to wait for an assignment to be graded so I bring my overall grade up. I don’t want to have the things that energize me taken away, like drawing or talking to friends. I wish I had more privacy. ### 1/5 — The App is very “complicated” *2026-01-06* I've lost access several times. When I need it, it never works. I've had to go to the school to get my access restored, have them review the parent information on file, and it's always a mess. The last time, I could see the grades but I couldn't see the test results or the grade report. It seems like I have two profiles. Personally, I believe this app is an essential multifunctional tool which can help enable students to assist in navigating their upcoming/current periods, grades, schedule, assignments, and the current progress they’ve made on their graduation requirements which is comparatively better than Virtual Counselor and Pinnacle’s vagueness in those features. Within a general vicinity, a small portion of the negative reviews here are younger students that correlate their deteriorating academic performance and poor attendance to a mobile app’s technical gripes/functionality which is laughably ridiculous and that view reflects upon their lack of accountability and self-discipline. And to address other issues, the formatting is not the most desirable for a school district’s mobile adaptation of an website but overall, Focus is an fairly decent app if you brush aside the somewhat inconvenient glitches and lackluster design. TLDR; Focus is an helpful tool with great potential that can assist both parents and students monitor grades and attendance as well as other areas that needs improvement. ### 3/5 — Keeps signing me out *2025-04-07, version 3.8.4* I would give this app higher stars if they did not log me out everytime I switched between apps. It’s quite annoying trying to take attendance and having to sit there and type in my long username and password. It keeps on logging me out automatically, and one time my mom wanted to check my grades, and asked if I logged out for her. I use it once in the day and then leave to do some other things and go back to check later on and it’s completely white screen. I have to kill the app and then login again, and sometimes restart the phone. My issue is the functionally of it though. Every week or so it kicks me out and when I go to log back in the app tells me permission declined. I then have to delete the app and re-install it before it can sign back into the see my kids info. I never have any problems in my computer though. And my phone is up to date with the software so I don’t know what the issue is that causes this. Needs improvement.
