Trying to claim the reward for anything other than the fried green beans failed. The birthday BOGO doesn’t list any exclusions and only worked on one combination of bowls. Some items require a selection to opt out of an in. For example, the only way to add egg rolls is to choose the option for no sauce. This field should be optional or include an option to order them with sauce. The website allows ApplePay while the app doesn’t. It has been updated and is slightly better than the app, but it still has the reward system flaws. ### 4/5 — Bday dinner *2023-05-13, version 2.5* You have to join app to receive bday dinner now Wish I knew that ahead of time ### 2/5 — This app is irritating to use *2023-01-09, version 2.5* This app is irritating ### 3/5 — Good Food… Not So Good Service *2022-11-06, version 2.5* Our family has been coming to Mongolian BBQ in Cleveland Hts at least 3x a year (every year) for our 3 sons’ birthdays for over 20 years (minus 2 Pandemic years.) To celebrate our youngest son’s 18th birthday he insisted on coming to Mongolian. After being seated, we ordered an appetizer while we waited for our other guests. Either Brandon forgot to put our order in or the cook forgot to cook it; because after waiting longer than expected, I called him over and asked about it and he said “Oh yeah, I’ll check on that.” And it took another 12 minutes to come out. -At 6:19 I ordered the General Tso’s Brussel Sprouts. It was placed on my table at 6:48. I’m sure it doesn’t take 29 minutes to prepare those Brussel Sprouts. And if it does, as good as they are, they should be removed the menu. -We then had to track Brandon down & wait for silverware. -We had to stop another server for straws because Brandon served us water without them and we couldn’t find him. -He forgot to refill the “birthday boy’s” drink. -Then we ordered dessert (Apple Pie Egg Rolls.) He brought over a plate of egg rolls w/ warm caramel sauce & ice cream AND NO SPOONS OR PLATES! How were we supposed eat them, double-dip the sauce and pass around the ice cream for each of us to lick? We’re a very close family but we prefer our own servings. We finally tracked Brandon down and asked for plates & spoons (after the ice cream started melting in the cup.) But still no spoons. My future daughter-in-law (who was also celebrating her birthday) walked over to the server’s station and asked for plates. She didn’t realize we were still without spoons. So she got up again and reminded Brandon and then he came over with spoons. Unfortunately, we were left with a cup melted cream that spilled over the cup. Fortunately, our family has the ability to have a good time whenever we get together, no matter the circumstances. So instead of getting upset, we made jokes about the whole situation. The food was good as usual; but it still wasn’t the Great Experience we usually have & EXPECTED when we come to celebrate at Mongolian BBQ. I’ll think twice about the next time…. My family and I take every given opportunity to enjoy and celebrate dining there. The wait staff help to make it enjoyable the cooks make it fun also with their talents displayed tossing of utensils also. Every time we go it’s more and more exciting. Thank You also during the pandemic taking extra care with gloves supplies and bringing our food to the table. Hope they fix because I do have a $15 unused reward. UPDATE: Problem ended up being my text size. I had set for quite large text and could not scroll up to see the login button so I was stuck on 1st screen. bd’s is a wonderful restaurant, great food and fun atmosphere. The food is fantastic, you season it and put sauces of your choice. You are encouraged to FILL your bowl. The atmosphere is family friendly and I like the location.
