## What is Be A Dentist?

Ever wondered what it is like to be a dentist and how you would go about entering this caring profession?  If so, this app is for you!

To set the scene, the app provides a series of short video clips illustrating the range of career opportunities that have been chosen by several graduates in dentistry from the University of Glasgow – you may be surprised at the diversity of options available. 

Being a dentist can be extremely rewarding and exciting, but also challenging, and this app also gives you an insight into the specific qualities required to enjoy success in the dental profession.  Once you have decided that being a dentist is a possible career path for you, the app will guide you through the general principles of how to gain entry to Dental School and inform you of the qualifications and experience required to be able to apply for admission.  

You can navigate through information and links to one of the world’s premier Dental Schools at the University of Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom.  This School is internationally renowned for its teaching, research and clinical expertise. Once you have been successful in gaining entry to Dental School, this app also provides very useful generic information on preparing to join the course and will help you transition to University life.  

Joining an undergraduate dentistry programme is a big step to take, but one for which dental school staff and existing students provide lots of support.  This app is an early part of that support – use it, enjoy it and perhaps soon we’ll be welcoming you at the start of your future career as a dentist!
