Taking a road trip up the coast? On holiday? Or just looking for the right beach for you? Find your nearest beaches in seconds. 

Brought to you by Surf Life Saving Australia, the Beachsafe app includes the location, weather, surf conditions and hazards plus the local facilities for all Australian beaches. Importantly, the current lifesaving service for each beach is listed to help you find the nearest patrolled beach. Beachsafe also provides expert advice about rip currents, flags and signs, waves, marine creatures, surf skills and more.

SLSA recommends swimming at patrolled beaches, between the red and yellow flags.

Useless app for reports on Algal Bloom as advertised on the website. There is big blue button in the app for the report but clicking on it does nothing. Please invest more in better app development

I have been using the app for a few years and always check out the beach info before I head out. Recently though, the beach I visit the most and I had marked as a Favourite has gone. It is Blacks Beach at Barrack Point and is patrolled by Council lifeguards. Are they no longer included in this app?

The search no longer works correctly. It doesn’t even know where Manly beach is.
You have to sign up, another word for give your data away, to save my beach data.
Very disappointing.
