I bought a beagle camera mk2 and tried to make an account. But it claims my own email account is misspelled even though it was able to send me a code? Will likely be returning this and leaving this same review on Amazon.

I have two V1 cameras. They work great. App only works if I’m on my local network. I used to be able to monitor from anywhere, now I get “Network Abnormal” error and it won’t connect. I’m sorry, but the only thing abnormal is the app. Everything else works as it always has.

When it works it’s really great but today the app just stopped working. It logged me out and when I try to log back in it says “the network is abnormal, please check whether the network can be accessed”. I’ve restarted my phone and my router and it still doesn’t work. I deleted the app then reinstalled and still nothing. It’s kinda frustrating. I hope you guys fix this soon

Recently bought a V2 and resin sensor. I installed and paired them using their install video as as instructed. However, the app will not let you update the camera using the firmware update feature. I figured no worries, I’ll follow their instructions to update it using the SD card. That worked, but the app is still broken as it doesn’t recognize the firmware update even though the voice prompt from the camera did. Additionally, when I try changing the time lapse settings to resin, the app WILL NOT LET YOU SAVE the settings and reverts back to the default setting. This essentially makes my camera and UV sensor useless. Don’t waste your money on this for resin prints. This app needs to be fixed.

I purchased mine a few years ago.  It’s still functions as if it was new.  I did have an issue with the initial set up but it was my email account that delayed the creation of the account.  I changed to a different email address and everything worked fine. I’ve been using it with no issue ever since.  The only thing that I asked the engineers to add as a feature where should the printing stop the software would pick up where it left off.

Since the recent update 1.3.3 the app crashes periodically. Sometimes when going into the app, sometimes when switching from SD to HD full screen view.

Also when switching from portrait to landscape view it does not rotate the phone.

I have to close and swipe away the app and reopen to get it to work.

Overall a great piece of kit to watch my print in the other room.

When trying to create an account with the app, it says there’s a connection issue. This is app side, as I’ve tried with multiple devices on different networks. Even when I click app support, it says my browser can’t open the webpage. Seems they gave up on support. 1 star until it’s fixed.

Love the Beagle Cams, have one for each of my printers. Easy to setup and control a number of printers. The iOS Beagleprint app can occasionally glitch and require a restart, but that doesn’t affect anything during printing.

My wish list would be to have filament run-out control, speed control and most of all, iPad iOS version that takes advantage of landscape mode. There is a work around for landscape full screen using the iPhone version on the iPad, but it’s clunky. Just tap the full screen icon, which stretches the screen vertically, then slide the app up from the bottom of the screen like you were going to close it, but then slide back down and the video view will fill the screen correctly. Repeat after tapping the shrink screen icon to return to regular full control mode.

I’m not sure why the reviews for this have been so negative. I’ve had the beaglecam and Beagleprint app for a few weeks, and have overall been really impressed with it. I got it as a gift on Christmas and have really enjoyed it up until this point. Definitely recommend!!

It’s great for wirelessly uploading, printing, and monitoring your prints. I’ve paired this with a smart power strip and can virtually print anything from anywhere in the world!

A few suggestions to the developers to improve in the next update:
1. Change the location of the printer “Disconnect” button. I haven’t yet, but I can see someone accidentally clicking this button halfway through a print.
2. Update the temperature chart to show exact temps when you click on specific data points (similar to the stock app on iPhones).
3. Increase the accuracy of the layer height to 2 decimal places. Currently, it only shows 1 decimal place. Also, if the first layer height is different than the rest of the print, it doesn’t show correctly.
5. Add the option to edit the name of the Timelapse files. Currently, it’s very difficult to find the right Timelapse file.
4. Add a print resume after power outage function, filament runout detection (for printers that have a filament sensor), and thermal protection runaway.

The remote print and view functionality mostly works with the Beaglecam. Most of the other features do not when used with my Ender 3 v2. Works better via a browser connection via IP address but in the end is below average. Would be 4 or 5 star if the features worked. The company does frequent updates so there is hope but as of late December 2022 it’s pretty a mess.
