## What is Beakly?

Your bird won't tell you it's sick. Beakly helps you see it in the numbers first.

Birds are prey animals — they hide illness until they're already critically ill, so the morning gram weigh-in is often your only early signal. A 5–10% drop from baseline is the documented "call your avian vet" threshold, and most owners track it in a Notes app or a spreadsheet that never actually tells them when to worry. Beakly does the math for you, in your bird's exact language, and keeps the record your vet asks for.

This is an early-warning and a record — not a rescue, and we won't pretend otherwise. What it gives you is the chance to notice the trend the day it starts, and to walk into the vet prepared instead of guessing.

WHAT BEAKLY DOES

• Log the morning weigh-in fast — in grams, the way you already do it, after the first poop-bomb, before food.
• See a legible weight trend. The trend is the product, not any single number — months of weigh-ins in one clear line you can actually read.
• Get an automatic 5–10% drop flag. Beakly establishes each bird's own baseline and flags a meaningful drop from it, so you don't hand-compute grams lost ÷ baseline × 100 at 7 AM.
• Molt-aware, so a molt isn't a false alarm. Mark a molt window and a molt-driven dip is reframed — fewer panics, while a genuine vet-tier drop is still flagged.
• Attach a dated dropping photo and a note. Color and consistency, urates and all, logged next to the weight so the record is richer than a number.
• Export a vet-ready PDF. One tap to a clean report — trend chart, weight history with flagged readings marked, molt periods, dropping photos — to hand your avian vet at the annual wellness exam or any scare.
• Built for a flock. Track every bird — cockatiel, conure, budgie, parrot, parakeet — each with its own baseline and history.
