## What is Beam Deflection?

Beam Deflection is a civil engineering calculator for preliminary steel beam and 2D frame analysis.

Define span length, IPE section, supports (pin, roller, fixed), and loads (point, distributed, moment). The app solves indeterminate beams using a 2-DOF finite element stiffness method and shows:

• Support reactions
• Shear, bending moment, and deflection diagrams
• Peak values, elastic bending stress, and deflection limit checks (L/250, L/300)
• Live beam schematic with section preview
• 2D plane frame analysis — portal and multi-story grids with M/V/δ diagrams and deformed shape (subscription)
• Learn tab — structural definitions and step-by-step calculation guides

Intended use: educational and preliminary site checks. Not a substitute for licensed structural design or code-compliant calculations. Always verify results independently.
